I always use a controller. In Super Lap at Circuit Spa-Francorchamps with Lotus 97T. (Two days for to get gold). Notice: I’m a sunday driver.

  2. Sharpener

To get the Lotus 97T F1 free, only need participate in Ayrton Senna Tribute with Lotus 97T F1, then get gold in Monza, and get silver at Brands Hatch and PD will give you the Lotus. It is quite difficult but not impossible. I’m a bad driver and I have no wheel, but got the Lotus, I tried it a bunch of times, perhaps 50 times or more.

  3. sosa

Is it just me or there are more people doing sesonals this days than ever before? I just did the vision time trials on my second account and ended 40.000th…. not my best time. Also with drift trials .. 13000th for gold? Cool

  4. MMX

I have 2 ID’s with GT6 on them. Used one of the new VGT cars on each to do the 4wd drift trials. They both do surprisingly well, considering you can’t adjust LSD, or torque split. Got 13,000+ with the Aston Martin. Good Times.

  5. StefanK

Did them all at once, only the lotus i cant do (dont have the car and not gonna buy it for one event…)

    1. MeanElf

You just have to do the Senna events to get that car. I don’t think you even need gold to win it, bronze should be enough.

    2. StefanK

i have completed them all (last two first challange silver second one bronze and i didnt get the car)

    3. MeanElf

That’s odd – must be on some kind of random generator then. It’s a shame, as the car is a blast.

    4. Scheer

It’s not random, you just have to get silver in both and you’ve already done it at Monza. Worth giving it another go for the credits, the car and the seasonal. (Silver is worth 450k x login bonus)

    5. MeanElf

Thanks for the confirmation Scheer. Definitely worth it for the payout too, that silver is more than gold for the current expert seasonal.

  6. Dude27

driving this lotus was nice…. until I drove the almost the same (98T) in assetto corsa with 100% turbo boost….. and suddenly GT is an arcade game. Never been so scared in my virtual driving life to drive the AC’s lotus… mighthy car from hell! (especially with the last hyper realistic engine sound mod from ElMariachi90). Real drivers of this car had balls of steel!

    1. Scheer

I had to go look didn’t I? It sounds amazing, esp. the turbo spooling down. Was tempted to throw $$$ at my PC. Fortunately the demo bluescreened halfway through, reminding me why I haven’t turned it on in ages. I’ll wait ’til it’s a bit further down the line…

  7. infamousphil

Thousands of miles from the crib (OTR trucking)… ain’t missing nothing.

    Even if I was home, I cain’t drift worth a damn… ain’t missing nothing.

The Senna whip… all alone in it’s own world (class). I don’t understand PD’s willingness to ignore Senna’s teammate or T97 sister car or better yet… competitor… ain’t missing nothing.

Ain’t even missing this phone’s predictive text ;)

Now… as soon as PD release a course creator… Lord guide this rig true and safe cuz I wouldn’t be able to get home fast enough.

  8. HuskyGT

Well, I’m glad we have an excuse to use the Lotus. I hope the F3 comes next. Despite my non interest for race cars, the little F3 is one of the cars I enjoy the most at the moment.

  9. dragonspatial

Oh goodie more useless drifting. Let’s just change the name to “Gran Drifting.”
No chance you could find some time to fix the servers or anything useful? Thought not.
You are driving people away from the game and even the platform with your absolute refusal to fix the game.

    1. MeanElf

Gods man, GT6 driving people away from Sony! Only a few maybe, those who play one game and one game only…

And how is it ‘Drifting Turismo’? You get two events every fortnight, oh, and two or so coffee-break events – sheesh, some people.

    2. OpticZero

Dragon may have gone a little far, but he does hold a nugget of truth. Most people that play GT don’t drift and having half of the Time Trials taken up by drifting is a bit much. I’d say give us three Time Trials and only one drift event.

And has anyone else felt that the Seasonals are getting a little boring? They need to add some variety.

    3. MeanElf

I actually find the GT6 seasonals to be more varied than the GT5 ones. I suppose the main difference is the inclusion in GT5’s seasonals of course maker tracks.

The GT6 ones though seem a lot tighter in their creation with more attention spent on time of day and challenge factors.

    4. KYD302

Opzero I’m with you on the horrible drift score system it shouldn’t matter if you drift a 180sx or a tvr yet the tvr racks up points like crazy. I like the drift events because they’re different from time attack an Chase the rabbit with the rabbits 30 second head start, I wish Pd would pull Thier head out of Thier arses and add some drag racing into the game its wildly popular online an alot of Americans get started in racing on the 1320 or the dirt oval which is another thing I hate I’ve ran a few rally races just local small time ones and the way Pd did the whole rally setup is worse than codemasters attempt. I miss my custom tracks on gt5 they gave me something to do when I got tired of the tracks on the game. Pd should add some new tracks, events (good wood etc), cars an types of events. The games become dull I keep waiting for all this great stuff Pd has promised but the games lost its flare alot faster than gt5 did.

    5. OpticZero

You’re right about Goodwood. Updating that Event list would be super easy to do too. Just throw in a set of three cars once in a while. That would be a perfect spot to highlight new additions to the car list when they popup in the future.

  10. CeeJay

I don’t mean to be negative and complain but I really don’t enjoy these drift trials. If I had a wheel setup maybe they wouldn’t feel like such a chore but for the amount of time it takes to set a car up to be a good drifter I’d rather spend it on A-Spec events with crazy AI trying to punt me into the sand! :D

    1. wudy201

didnt want to post yet thanks my 2 year old boy. But I dont find driting fun and I dont believe the points system can be done accuratly and consistantly IMO. Also I tune my cars to not slide around turns and that takes me long enough. I do them because its a different way to earn credits other than doing the same old boring career mode races that have been done a thousand times now and online is pointless as you earn enough credits to change oil each race. I also have come across some paint chips I liked since thats all were racing for anymore. Ive been lucky to gold most of them but just dont find drifting to be any fun. I really hope GT6 seasonals change back to how GT5 seasonals were done with the chance to earn big time credts remember the +500k races along with something to play for. There was something to race for like getting a car, race suit and paint chips for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Ah the good ol days, where did you go.

  11. Eyes Fried Open

I noticed that the polarized paint won in the time trial has already been given out before. I only realized because when i went to check it out after winning it and i still had the same 3 colours i have always had. Nice one PD.

  12. Croatian_STIG

Did them all in one go, took me about 15 minutes… not much of a challenge, really.
The Tsukuba drift trial is a wet one! Nice. 11k points with Veyron, could’ve done better.

  13. warpkez

Penalties are very touchy on this one. Even kissing the barriers is an instant black flag. Watch your lines also, if either outside tire touches the ripple strips, black flag.

Someone at PD is a real evil person.

  14. Gallade4751

They couldn’t have picked any WORSE track for drifting than Brands Hatch INDY.Considering how much your line may vary in this track, the scoring system sucks hard. ANY OTHER TRACK would have been better than this. Could have been something cool like the Nordschleife Drift Trial section.

  15. Amac500

Cool, new military paint. Otherwise I don’t really care, lol. Everytime they update the seasonals now I’m going to be wondering if they’ll unlock Zahara though, just cus we knows it’s in there :P Will probably be the August update though, with the Alfa Romeo VGT that’s also in there.

    1. BrunetPaquet

Link? Or is it just speculation? I’m not in the know about GT6 nowadays ever since I moved on to other games…

    2. MeanElf

It would be nice alright, but maybe they’re waiting on the online community patch before releasing that track…because you just know it’s going to be pretty popular and as a big track, it has to work without the problems Bathurst had.
