A new Nissan is coming to Gran Turismo, according to the latest post shared on the series’ official Facebook page:

nissan-june10“There are 148 Nissan cars in Gran Turismo 6. Each car — from the Skyline Sport Coupe and Fairlady Z, to the GT-R NISMO GT3 — represents a chapter of Nissan’s story. On June 10th we open the next chapter.”

The post includes our first look at the new car under a cover, indicating a radical design and leading some to speculate this may be Nissan’s Vision GT project.

Notably, June 10th is also the opening day for E3, the largest international video game show held each year in Los Angeles. Stay tuned for more, and thanks to all of you who sent this in!

Ha ha trickery..it’s not revealed today it only starts to be revealed today…clever….who knows when it’s coming to GT..tease…tease..tease…

  3. biftizmo

Ha ha trickery….not revealed today only starts to be revealed today…so when we get it in GT who knows…

  4. NBDrifterz

Lies, lies, lies, I completly doubt that it’ll be released on 10th of June because VW said they’re going going to release their VGT ages ago, it never happened.
Plus I doubt it won’t even look good, because the German Automakers so far have made some spectacular cars so far, but the Japs, the XR-PHEV just says it all…

  5. Davegtirbeast

I wonder if nissan have only just realised that they have missed out the GTI-R and that’s the car undercover. Or it’s just another skyline. Think Mitsubishi best put in a different evo as well. Not enough versions

Edit: Polyphony Digital is a hamster. Gran Turismo is its rolling wheel. And Kazunori is the hamster’s owner. The owner of the hamster watches his pet through a glass container. He watches his little pet, as the wheel continuously spins. The hamster looks tired and confused, but still, it rolls the mindless wheel. The wheel cannot go anywhere. It is propelled by a very exhausted hamster, who is slowly decreasing it speed. The owners doesn’t notice the fatigue, and feeds the hamster more of the same: garbage. It’s a perpetual wheel of monotony. A wheel of boredom and fatigue.

This new Nissan will be, as almost all the times, a masterpiece, but… In this game we have a lot of GT3 race cars (Mercedes, Audi, Bmw, Nissan, ecc., ecc.,), and not only, but no one of Ferrari or Lamborghini (only to say a random couple ;) ); a few days ago i was watching a race with all of these: guess what, the best performances were exactly of Ferrari 458 and Lamborghini Gallardo; there will be a single possibility to see such cars in GT?

    1. Tenacious D

This is what I want to see too. In fact, this is exactly why I want to see Race Mod return, so we can make our own GT3 cars, or cars from various racing leagues. And with it, a Livery Editor, so we can make our creations unique, or recreate cars of today or history.

I’m hopeful this will happen, and the Base Model cars are a precursor.

    2. SZRT Ice

Don’t forget about the McLaren! Although Porsche is out of the question, the McLaren is a sexy GT3 beast!

    1. OpticZero

I do too and I’m not sorry. Why are some saying, “How dare they come out with another car?” or “Who wants another Nissan?”? I, for one, would like to get as many cars as possible. Sure, some of the features are slow to come out and I wish they would deliver, but I would think that the car guys creating cars are busy with creating cars (this new Nissan and the VGT cars, for example) and the track guys are doing the tracks, and so on and so forth. Without things like this from Nissan, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, maybe PD would have an even smaller budget and GT6 might still be in the works as we speak.

    2. Johnnypenso

Me too. I can’t see why anyone wouldn’t want another new car, even if it’s another GT-R of some sort. I understand the desire for other cars, but Nissan and PD are tied at the hip and this goes with the territory. Enjoy it for a couple of weeks and move on to the next VGT.

    3. OpticZero

…I guess it is technically in the works as we receive more updates. ;) …but you get my point.

    4. Situation1994

Tbh i dont understand the people here, they keep asking for content then they get it and they’re disappointed because its a Nissan, and yes i care about the car since I’m a huge Nissan fan

    5. SZRT Ice

At this point, it’s not so much about the content (cars) as it is about how PD puts it -and allows us to put it- to use. I feel we need tracks, events, clubs, community features, and our track editor already. How much good are more new cars without somewhere nice and new to drive them?

  9. SZRT Ice

    Fun fact:

The word “Nissan” is now listed 99 times on this page. This is still 49 less times than there are Nissan cars in Gran Turismo 6.

    1. Soulfresh_ACV

Any new car that’s going to add to my stable it’s great news and I cannot wait especially when it looks like something nice to drive so it’s a bonus. It’s not like we’re getting a bicycle or even the Mars Rover. I complain about not having box cover features yet and better sounds but I seriously don’t get what people are complain about sometimes.

  10. JTB10000

So…are we ever going to get the features that are supposed to be in the game, or are we just going to keep getting these pointless little accessories that have no positive impact on the game whatsoever?

    1. HuskyGT

Yes. PD keep doing these things instead of making the game how it should be, or adding/upgrading the cars that (most) car enthusiasts want.

    2. Tenacious D

It has only been six months. Let’s not prophecy doom every other post. Atl east until PD closes the GT6 servers in July to make room for GT7 Prologue ;D

    3. MeanElf

There used to be a definition of the shortest measurement in time; being the amount of time it takes between any traffic light in New York turning green, and a yellow cab honking the car in front of it.

I think this place may well have beaten that record for rapid grumpiness.

    4. SZRT Ice

“It has only been six months.”…

      o_O?

Marinate on that for a bit…

      Give it time….

I just want you to sit and think on that statement in regards to what is the norm, acceptable, and should expected in gaming when it comes to DLC. Especially in a game with an approximate 3.5 year life span (Using GT5 as an example, we have about 3 years of server time left before the snip).

Is this a practice that you really find acceptable? Should all companies start handling their products this way? Advertise products not yet ready for a products release date as certified to be included features to assure sales. Get consumer money 1st, deliver features half a year to however many more months later?

I bought GT6 on the premise of a massive track collection (or monthly to bi-monthly track DLC), club racing, community features, an epic track editor, and many more bought it from the Zahara announcement back in January.

Ugh… Never mind… Same old song.

    5. wudy201

To all the people that keep complaining about missing features you know you got what was advrtised if you would have taken the time to read the GT site you would see it clearly states that almost all the features complained about are clearly explained in the site as coming in a future update like the track editor and others. So PD have not lied about any of that stuff as it does not say which update just a future update. We did get the gps visualizee and data logger in a future update just like it said we would so why not the rest. Its just inpatient greedy people who need to learn to appreciate what we have and what we have gotten since dec. 6. and we have gotten pretty much and it didnt cost a thing and every 2 weeks we get more.

    6. MeanElf

True that six months could be deemed a bit on the long side, and raise concerns that the features might never come. This is PD though, not some fly-by-night outfit, so come they will.

You don’t need to accept that some people are willing to allow PD the space to get it done – but do I think you need to understand that not everyone thinks in the same way, nor does everyone believe that the customer should get every little thing their hearts desire just because they paid some money.

They will, or won’t deliver on their promises – it really is that simple. If they don’t, then you and anyone else will always have the freedom to walk away. What do you lose, a game that you can doubtless replace with another? I know some will say that they have supported the games from ‘day one’ and that they are unhappy how it is heading – well, it is PD’s game, so their choice what they do with it, surely.

I mean, next the fans will be demanding that authors listen to what they want in the next book, because they feel that it is just as much their baby as the author’s…oh wait, that’s already been happening.

Why not leave the creators to do their thing, whilst we the gamers should do our thing and enjoy the game, or not – it’s not ours to control like that…

    7. SZRT Ice

      @ wudy201

I did not call PD liars, however the track editor was said to be cutting it close to release day, and they weren’t sure if it would make it in on time or shortly after release. 6+ months is not shortly after.

And it was said that we’d have approximately 1 to 2 tracks per month. Averaged out, we’re missing 4.

And although it wasn’t mentioned by PD themselves, Zahara, which was announced to come in February by a Sony exec’, still hasn’t arrived. And there was never word from PD confirming or debunking it to this day. Just nothingness.

“Its just inpatient greedy people who need to learn to appreciate what we have and what we have gotten since dec. 6. and we have gotten pretty much and it didn’t cost a thing and every 2 weeks we get more.”

A lot can happen in 6 months. Many value their time. And if one pays for a product, they should expect to get the features advertised to make it in shortly after release in a timely manner… shortly after release. It did cost a thing. I paid for GT6, it wasn’t free. I didn’t buy GT6 for spoilers (wings), the VGT’s are a plus, but it was mainly for the things said to come. Monthly DLC (tracks), track editor (soon after release), and club/community features were also a buying incentive.

I do not see how asking for what you paid for makes one greedy.

      @ MeanElf

“nor does everyone believe that the customer should get every little thing their hearts desire just because they paid some money.”

I’m only talking about the things they said they were going to put in. No mention of vinyl editors, a replay studio mode, better rim customization, more bodykits and race mods, the LaFerrari, etc. were made.

“I mean, next the fans will be demanding that authors listen to what they want in the next book”

If the author said the book is going to be about “this” and have “this” in it, should not people expect it? I’m not demanding what I want in the next GT. I’m talking about things said to be included that are still missing in the current one.

^This is why I am going to quit discussing these things. I’m just amazed how many see it as okay.

      ::Waiting on Kaz’s answer’s to the Q & A forum:: -_-

    8. MeanElf

Waiting on his answers, now that the facility has been made possible, is definitely a good idea.

Though I appreciate that my previous post may have seemed like it was aimed at you Ice, it was actually more of a general statement about so many commentors here on GTP – sorry, but I didn’t have enough charge in my laptop to correct that – striking whilst the iron was hot, and all that.

    9. SZRT Ice

No doubt. And thank you for acknowledging that instead of turning it into some mindless back and forth banter that I usually fall into.

      Respect.

    10. MeanElf

No worries, there is quite a lot of that here and the points or issues at hand can get muddied as a result.

  11. SavageEvil

VGT Nissan GT-R that incorporates the LeMans technology and GT-R in one vehicle. I wonder if it will be something along the lines of the MacLaren P1 and AWD with the GT-R tech systems this could be another Godzilla but futuristic and not so boxy and heavy looking.

  12. 05XR8

It’ll be the LMP concept car. The ZEOD was revealed before this car but, we dont have it in game as yet. The cars in the 148 pics include Base Models as part of cars in game.
The one thing that does puzzle me is, after all the concept cars we got from the Sting Ray and M4, we should have gottwn the NISMO Z & R35 by now. The next chapter has to besomething wild from NISSAN/PD.

  13. kollosson

As usual, new content for GT6 and the complainers appear. Could be a VGT car. There may be a lot of Nissans in the game, so what ? can’t complain about GT6’s car list, I think they have covered most peoples preferences so the fact that there is 148 Nissan’s in the game really doesn’t matter does it ? just accept it and if you don’t dig Nissan’s don’t use them, simples…

  14. apexpredator100

Insert “Oh look another Nissan” comment here.

I think the car will most likely the Nissan VGT.

  15. Jimmy_DA
  16. SebiGT89

i dont know what is going on, I saw the Nissan logo in the vision gt dealership since it were abaible to wach… so sooner or later a new car from Nissan will appear. Dont understand people complaining about it, if you dont like nissan, dont drive it and wait other cars from the other brands… PD upload the Vgt cars when the BRAND finish it… so if Nissan wants to add 1 car each week, i prefer that instead of none.
About the car itself…dont think it will be a lm car, because the roof its to big, i think it will be a concept of the future concep of the future gt-r

  17. Peatrie

To be honest, I couldn’t care less if there is another GTR added into the game, I ADORE them. Having so many GTR’s does not ruin the experience of the game. If you are unhappy with the GT series for having so many GTR’s, then buy and Xbox and a copy of Forza. Respect Godzilla

  18. xirage faith

PD really liked to feature japanese cars. Just count the number of Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Nissan. If anyone mentions Miata or Skyline it’s gonna make me vomit for real

    1. Psyfox_x3

xD Yeah and the 4x Civic’s SiR-II (EG). One is not enough, they are differing in 4pp xD 17xS2000’s, where 5 would be enough ;) Not to mention Subaru’s where 43cars should be 15. At least they cut the Streetcar-Supra’s to 4, which is a good amount.

  19. xirage faith

I always liked GTproducts, but if they’re gonna release another gtr (I don’t care if it is concept or futuristic) I’ll be bitterly crossed and disappointed

  20. worst at gt

I dont understand how the guy making the above facebook post didnt stop and say “Wait a minute, ONE EIGHTH of all the game’s cars are NISSANS!? We must have a severe fetish for those things!”

  21. biftizmo

’m surprised that some people are surprised that Nissan and PD have close ties after all this time….maybe their are so many Nissans because their are no licensing issues….just maybe….and maybe thats why the academy is Nissan too.. now theirs a surprise

  22. Cole

I’m waiting for PD to announce a Skyline DLC pack as an April fool’s joke. It’s just set up too perfectly to go without.

  23. CorvetteConquer

They can’t even model a Ferrari F50. Or a premium RUF. Or a Koenigsegg. But yes, let’s see PD’s understaffed modeling team create another Nissan in premium glory. It’s just what the doctor ordered. And the doctor is Kaz. But he doesn’t realize we already overdosed on Nissan since at least GT4.

  24. Benoir

Imaginary cars don’t interest me – from any maker. Personally I would like to see efforts made in upgrading cars from the current roster to premium. It boggles my mind the number of legendary or characterful cars that have been left standard or left out all together for that matter. These are the cars that real enthusiasts are interested in. But in order to be progressive and achieve some market-relevance I suppose this is what we can expect in the future.

    1. John_Marsten

I fell the exact same mate.

Give me a premium Supra, any Konigsegg, Gumpert apollo, any australian car. (it still boggles my mind why the FPV F6 typhoon and FPV GT were taken out of this series) Datsun 1200 ute, 120y, 1600, 1200 coupe. the list goes on and on.

    2. Nestor_Motta

Benoir, agree with you! Models like the late 180SX deserve better than to be Standard. Polyphony wasting time instead of pleasing their players with cars that really matter. Audi? RS2 and RS4. BMW? M3 (E36 and E30) and 535 (E34) in 1991. Mercedes-Benz? 190E Evolution II and E55 AMG (2002). This just to name a European…

    3. wudy201

Dont say real enthusiast when you mean yourself. The artical says its the next chapter in Nissan which makes perfect sense why it would be comng to the game, and Nissan has been a huge presence in GT and the racing world. Gt is a driving simulator which cover every and any kind of car out there not just race cars and supercars and exotic cars and there is plenty of variation in the game already and more being added pretty often to keep any “enthusiast” happy. No matter what PD does they will never make everybody happy but the do put in a hell of an effort with very little apprciation for fans.

    4. John_Marsten

      @wudy.

      You are kidding right?

Yes they put in effort, but it is all directed in the COMPLETE wrong way by adding things that only a very small minority want/care about. Until they start LISTENING to their fans and implementing things that have been requested for donkeys years, they wil continue to get little appreciation.

    5. MeanElf

The Datsun Ute? – wasn’t Datsun a Nissan brand?

I’m in agreement with wudy, it’s a specific chapter thing. Other cars will come – don’t forget the long view…

    6. SZRT Ice

“Against the grainer” here, and I LOVE concept cars! Thery’re sexy and sleek (most of the time) with radical designs I’d only wish to see rolling down the street. The only reason they aren’t a norm is because of production costs of their detailed and defining forms and automakers wanting to stay in the “safe zone”. But little do many of you “enthusiasts” know, concept cars are a halfway point between your standard sedan/coupe and super cars!

Without people designing beautiful extreme cars, your F50’s, LaFerrari’s, and Zonda’s would not exist! All enthusiasts do not see things like you, so stop grouping them in a bunch to add weight to your comments like we’re all in your corner because we’re not!!! I’m excited as ph*k for the VGT project!!!

  25. sircarltonlotus

Couple or so quick points. Firstly, is the number of Nissan vehicles in gt really a problem? Secondly, is there an arbitrary rule which necessitates the purchase of every Nissan vehicle in game? And finally, why all the skyline “gags”? Haven’t heard any official word that it’s a skyline

  26. Ben Rogue

Wish they would also bring both versions of the IDx to GT6, the IDx Nismo is an awesome design!

  27. ayllee84

What are you guys talking about? The name is right under the sheet. It’s the new “Nissan June 10, 2014”. Wow.

  28. SnakeOfBacon

Based on the outline of the cover, I’m going to guess that this car will look something like a mix of GTbyCitroen and Audi R8. Sounds good. Now, time for crazy wishful thinking.
A sizeable update could be released with it, which may bring Zahara de la Sierra! Fingers crossed.

  29. John_Marsten

I often feel sorry for Jordan posting this news. I wonder what he must be thinking when he puts it up. “Damn, I have to post news about another NISSAN”

Seriously though. Great work Jordan, your site has been my ‘go to’ place for anything GT related. Your hard work and dedication is very much appreciated.

    1. SZRT Ice

I often wonder myself about the mods perspective on GT related things. I just never actually took the time to ask because I’ve always felt in the back of my mind that it would likely start Armageddon around here if they actually answered.

    1. Mike458

YOU GET A NISSAN! YOU GET A NISSAN! YOU GET A NISSAN!

(please tell me it isn’t the Juke) (or more aptly named Joke)

    2. SZRT Ice

Go home Oprah! You’re drunk! Lol

I remember that Oprah reference from the youtube video linked in the article about the cars we all received (around Christmas I believe?) in GT5 some time ago… That was epicly funny.

  30. vr6cas

It’s either a Vision GT car or something inline with what Toyota did with the FT-1. The FT-1 is a Vision to where the future of the company/car design is heading. I don’t think it’s a gtr. Future cars are cool in all but there’s still a lot from the past that would be nice to add.

  31. SZRT Ice

“Each car represents a chapter of Nissan’s story. On June 10th we open the next chapter.”

This statement, clearly denotes a vehicle movement that is more than a VGT/concept. Get the idea of a basic concept car with radical design and little relevancy to practicality out of your heads.

This is likely going to be a definitive step in the next line of sport/race cars being developed under the Nissan moniker.

    1. SZRT Ice

Also, looking at the height of the car, it sits incredibly lower and wider than the GT3 GTR’s. It’s resemblence in size is closer to the GT500 GTR’s. This leads me to believe it’s an LMP/GT500 vehicle. The spoiler line can be seen to the sides and quite higher than the “waist line” of the vehicle, suggesting that it’s not something you’d see on the street. Although, a street version is something I’d actually prefer, so I’m actually hoping I’m wrong. But just the fact that the car is seated (in the photo) next to a GT3 and under a GT500 hints otherwise.

Anyways, that’s my bit of speculation. We’ll just see on the 10th.

Oh, one other thing. With PD’s partnership with Nissan, I wonder just how 2-way this relationship works. With the catalog of car info PD has at it’s disposal, they could likely take the best assets of many well peak performing vehicles, discover performance benifits of them all (optimal tire size & width, optimal ride height, car length, engine power output curve, suspension lengths, etc. etc. It’s a 15 year old database of 1200+ vehicle’s performance dumbed down into a video game and titled Gran Turismo after all) refine and tweak them into one vehicle, and statistically make a true super car above anything else ever seen. If they were to then hand this data to Nissan, who knows what could come of it?

Eh, but that’s all my own mental hoopla thinking.
However, one can only imagine the possibilities.

    2. Nato_777

The cars are listed in order of year in the photo so it’s position relative to the GT3 and GT500 cars so nothing to do with it being a race car or not – though it does look probable by the profile. I like your musing on the PD/Nissan relationship, that would be an interesting outcome even if just virtual. :)

    3. biftizmo

I’m surprised that some people are surprised that Nissan and PD have close ties after all this time….maybe their are so many Nissans because their are no licensing issues….just maybe….and maybe thats why the academy is Nissan too.. now theirs a surprise …

  32. fresh11

They are starting with German vision gt cars if u look in the vision gt store Japan is later so it can’t be a Nissan vgt

  33. Allek

For months there was nothing new from PD, so I won’t be the one whining here because wheels are finally in motion. Good news, probably one Vision GT.

  34. another_jakhole

If it’s a Vision GT car, PLEASE let it have an interior. There hasn’t any yet, including the FT-1 which Toyota themselves have said that it wasn’t their Vision GT project.

Still, I’m excited about this. I wonder if Nissan will make it RWD if it’s their “vision”.

    1. SZRT Ice

With PD’s close partnership with Nissan, it’s more than likely that it will have an interior modeled for it. It would be odd if it didn’t.

    2. liv4hardstyle

either you haven’t driven the FT-1 or you haven’t figured out how to change view. FT-1 has a sexy interior. please try to understand that the vision GT cars are concepts- if the designers haven’t whipped up the interior yet then you will not see an interior in game. it makes sense.

    3. liv4hardstyle

oh and I should clarify- by designers I mean car designers not game designers. that is all

  35. The Stig Farmer

This can only be a Vision Gran Turismo car, or a concept showing the future direction of the company (à la FT1).

This cannot be the LMP1 car – that’s going to start racing in 2015. They probably haven’t even started development of it yet.

    1. racefan88

The lmp1 is supposed to start track testing in the fall… the engine has already been run on the dyno…. that car is well developed, the reason this won’t be the lmp1 is because I doubt they’ll put the lmp1 in a game until it actually is shown to the world

    1. sangdude82

Yeah, that R32 Skyline GT-R was one of the most iconic cars from Nissan and it’s hard to believe that car still not in GT.

    2. OpticZero

Well, whichever or whatever this car will be (VGT, R36, etc.), let’s hope it has an interior. WTF is up with some of these cars not getting interiors?

  36. DSUjoeDirte9

well you see. Its looks like an LMP, They just got a new LMP. The 24 hours of le mans start in less than 10 days.

Ima going to say its an LMP

    1. carfanatic45

I agree, there was a Top Gear article saying that Nissan has a new LMP for 24h of Le Mans.

    1. Kovu

Unlikely. There’s too much development involved in racing prototypes as that Nissan would unveil all details of that car in a running season.

If anything it’s a VGT concept.

  37. Blood*Specter

Considering the relationship PD has with Nissan, I wouldn’t be surprised if this car has an interior right off the bat

  38. kylerohde

This absurdity is one reason GT is such a disappointment. Yes, Skylines are fabulous cars and have been incredible performance machines for a long time, as are Silvias. But to have there by 5-6 times as many as of them as there are Mustangs and Camaros, for example, is ridiculous.

    1. MeanElf

And you didn’t notice the high number in previous games? It’s only a disappointment for some, I assure you. I’d far rather have the Skylines than Mustangs any day.

    2. Johnnypenso

Racing games produced in America have an abundance of American cars. Games produced in Japan have an abundance of Japanese cars. This is surprising why?

    3. SZRT Ice

Sorry, my ignoramus senses are tingling.

I’m an American, and I have my own preferences towards what I like. But if I was to create something meant to attract people on a world scale, I would personally seek to be as unbiased and balanced in my creation as possible as not to alienate one group or division over another, and to as much as possible not show favoritism or partiality towards on or the other.

No need to segregate by race or origin. It’s not cool even if they are all from one place. i.e. a game from Germany, showing favoritism towards BMW over Mercedes, VW, etc. Sorry, but in this instance, I just don’t agree with you two. @ Johnny & MeanElf.

@ MeanElf, Had it been the other way around and we had a ton of Mustangs and little to no Skylines, you’d be crying foul as someone else spewed your own selfish words back towards you about their Mustang preference and you’d see how it feels.

Regardless, in the end, it’s foolish to complain about it, because of PD’s partnership with Nissan. I can just see it damaging the series if too much favoritism is shown towards Nissan and other great automakers continue to get shoved to the proverbial back of the bus.

    4. Aussie_HSV

All MeanElf said was “I’d far rather have the Skylines than Mustangs any day.”
      It’s an opinion.
I think you’re being a little dramatic and OTT with your response.

    5. SZRT Ice

To me he was defending PD’s bias towards Nissan while bellitling someone else’s preference over his own. Which is selfish because he’s displaying that as long as his desire is catered to, that makes it okay. I see it here constantly with people who don’t like taking pictures, people who don’t like vinyl editors, etc etc. As long as something they care about is tended to, the things others like and desire in GT are tossed to the side and labeled irrelevant or insignificant. And that is selfish behavior, no matter how you cut it.

    6. Aussie_HSV

Read into his comment what you like and try to justify your OTT response how you like.
Clearly you’re too arrogant to accept and admit you over-reacted.
      Discussion is pointless.

    7. Haelth

At least there’s quite a few American cars in the game. I’d personally like to see something added such as Donkervoort or DAF. Given that there’s only one car that the game lists from the Netherlands. It’d be nice to have some more “obscure” vehicles in the game.

    8. Johnnypenso

@SZRT you are making a mountain out of a molehill…and by that I mean Mt. Everest vs. the smallest molehill in history. MeanElf has a preference for certain cars…yippee..in other news, the sky is blue and water is wet. So what?
In my case I was just stating the obvious, there’s nothing to disagree with. Any game designer will naturally focus on their own preferences. Kaz has the obvious tie-in with Nissan so naturally he’ll favour Nissans. He’s Japanese, the game is made in Japan so naturally there will be an abundance of Japanese cars. That’s just the way it is, if someone wants something different, there are other games on the market with different mixes of cars.

    9. SZRT Ice

“He’s Japanese, the game is made in Japan so naturally there will be an abundance of Japanese cars.”

This is the only thing of relevance to me in your post. And I can respectably agree with it. No one asked him his preference, he clearly stated it to imply the insignificance in the preference of another. End of.

Mountains and molehills is a matter of perspective. Not going there. Blue skies and wet water, I care for. Belittlement? Not so much.

Other games on the market aren’t Gran Turismo. People would find more of one thing they want, and over a thousand that GT doesn’t have. If he or anyone else really wanted to go elsewhere, complaining about unbalanced cars would be pointless. But in him doing so, it should be apparent to you and anyone else that that is not something he’d prefer to do. So that suggestion is null and void.

Seriously. What a way of compromising. I’d love to see how some of you people treat friends, family, and significant others. “Oh, I won’t help you with that, but there are other people out there who will”… I can only imagine.

    10. MeanElf

@Ice – then I probably wouldn’t be playing the game as much, I certainly wouldn’t go on a forum to have a moan about it but accept things as they are. I mean, it’s not exactly been news for a long time that PD have a lot of Japanese cars in their game..

Really, it’s like Aussie_HSV said – an opinion. It is also nothing to do with my being catered for – I accept what is, and learn to enjoy that, or to move on.

    11. Johnnypenso

Exactly @MeanElf. Complaining about glitches and errors and camber and lack of interiors in the VGT’s and most everything else, all makes sense to me. Those are things that can be changed in a relatively short amount of time by one or two programmers. The 1200 cars in the game is an immovable object. It’s taken them 10+ years from PS2 – PS3 to amass that number of cars and it has a tremendous amount of momentum. It’s also true that the numbers have been slowly changing away from Japanese cars. If you look at all the new cars added since GT5, the numbers for Japan are way down from their historical % of around 70%, but at the rate of just 50 cars/year it’s going to take a long, long time to make people think the focus is no longer on Japan.

    12. MeanElf

True words JP – I mean it has been noted that the balance is shifting and that will take time. I’m sure they’ll get there.

    13. SZRT Ice

Now you guys are sounding a bit more logical. However a change in direction has to start somewhere.

While you scream “accept it/take it for what it is”, meanwhile there is a Kaz Q&A forum, a Suggestion’s forum, and millions of GT players and PlayStation fans in want of a better and more well rounded racing sim. Without people speaking and acting on the things they feel important, change may never come. And if it’s a message people can agree with and get behind, who’s to say what effect it can have?

I already received a message on my PSN from a friend who feels the same as kylerohde, and there are some iconic Mustangs like the original 1964 Stang that are missing in GT (Thank’s @ YoungC2430), and unlike many of the Skylines, many of the Mustang body styles differ greatly from iteration to iteration. I’m sure there are many more out there who feel the same way and want the the same things. Here’s just one person who chose to speak about it here and got criticized for it. I think his point is valid. Origination is a poor excuse for bias in a global product.

Also, over exposure can have the exact opposite effect. It can hurt the brand as Skylines’s become the new “Civic” and people desire something original and out of the ordinary. For all the Skyline’s in Gran Turismo, amongst the people I play with, it’s one of the cars I don’t see used very often.

All that aside, I’m actually looking forward to a fresh and new Nissan. It’s long overdue imo.

    14. Aussie_HSV

      Who’s ‘screaming’?
Why must exaggerate to make your point?
When you can post a comment without exaggerating you may be taken more seriously.

    15. SZRT Ice

Says the guy who called my response “OTT” (still waiting to know how?, actually, not really, I could care less…).

Stop being such an asshat, it’s called emphasizing.
All you’re doing is criticizing my reply without adding anything to the conversation. JohhnyPenso and MeanElf already solidified their perspectives and stance on this topic. You’re just being noisy for no reason, pipe down bruh.

  39. CORRUPTEDDISC

Yay, another Skyline lol. No but seriously, I would be happy if this is a new VisionGT, since the manufacturers involved seem to be trying to get the conceptual ball rolling a bit quicker. I would be most happy however, if it is Nissan’s new LMP car, because I just love Le Mans cars :D

  40. Amac500

PD has literally made Nissan’s white noise to me, and that isn’t even a well crafted pun taking a shot at the Leaf. The fact that there are so many more important companies/models in the history of motoring, it just really annoys me when PD goes boosting about the over-abundance of Nissan’s. Meanwhile the sum of all Ferrari’s, McLaren’s, Aston Martin’s, Lamborghini’s, Maserati’s, Bentley’s, Bugatti’s, Lancia’s, and Jaguar’s doesn’t even equal the number of Nissan’s in the game.

    1. TeamCZRRacing

I bet it’s not that PD asks for more cars from Nissan, it’s that Nissan is willing to give them more.

  41. GBalao888

Hey guys BTW June 10 is on a Tuesday, so there could be a small chance of an update releasing the car.

    1. SSQES

He already answered this question : “I am not going to E3 because I’ve been told there will be no Gran Turismo announcements at this year’s show. Hopefully that will prevent the hype train from leaving the station to its inevitable demise”

    1. Ben Rogue

Exactly! The IDx is an ideal car for Gran Turismo, not to mention it’s one of Nissans more pure designs.

  42. GBalao888

    !!!!!
    !!!
    !!!!
    !!!!!
It makes me excited and makes me wonder what the car really is. I always see people say that PD should stop putting Nissans. But TBH, I would want to see more Nissans, especially the cool ones.

    1. Samus

      More Nissans = Good.
More GT-Rs/Skylines = Not so good.

Someone needs to remind PD they have made other vehicles in the past 10 years.

  43. wudy201

Not considering what it looks like under the cover, mabey the new Z (z-35), the mini z thats supposed to battle the BR-Z and FR-S, the Ellure, mabey the Bladeglider in 2014, the new pickup unviels June 11, Im betting its the SSC or as it looks like its going to be the nex Maxima, I hope its the SSC that is one bad looking car. hopefully not the Murano crossover. Or suprise us with tbe diesel Z they are hinting at since supposibly the Evo and Subaru are going diesel because of changes in Japans reglatjons. Just my input as some of these could end up being the vision or a take off of one of these will be the vision.

  44. stupidstormy36

Still would like to see the TS030 (Toyota) and the Panoz LMP-1 Roadster-S (for one reason alone) in GT6, but if this car is free, can’t complain about it. At least I have the TS030 in rFactor, for now.

Keep up the great work guys.

    1. JASON_ROCKS1998

Unless its a racing Skyline i’m cool with it, but it looks like racing car, possibly a sports car

  45. mickoafna

I guess some people still don’t get it. It’s a free car. It doesn’t matter which one it is as long as it’s good lookin’ and free :)
Thank you PD. You are THE BEST!

  46. Jayson619

Could be one of the Super GT GT500 cars for this season’s Super GT.

Would rather be given the choice to buy the GT-R NISMO GT3 Team RJN Car in the game; can’t get Gold in GT Academy; WTF!?!

    1. x_Lone_Wolf_x

The current Nissan SuperGT cars are still the R35 GT-R’s. We have plenty of those. This is supposed to be an entire new car.

    1. Amac500

Lol, it wouldn’t surprise me though. They’ll just change the GT Academy logo on the car to a number 35 box, then we’ll all jump through a wall out of frustration that this is the kind of lame a** s**t that PD hypes.

  47. Samus

There are 148 Nissan cars in Gran Turismo 6. Each car — from the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline to the Skyline represents a chapter of Nissan’s story. On June 10th we open the next chapter.”

    1. SZRT Ice

At NA, as funny as that was, it’s likely a fact. Although to some, the Skyline & GTR aren’t really the same thing. I beg to differ. However, if they’re not, here’s hoping for a new Skyline!
      :D

  48. Cutch_22

I would think the new Le Mans racer, makes sense with it being a new chapter, and the body style, unless they troll us, reflects that.
