With this year’s Need For Speed title on the horizon we’ve taken the opportunity to look back on the 2012 entry in the franchise, and we’ve happened to come across some details that paints an entirely new picture for what the revived title could have been.

Today marks two weeks since the Gran Turismo Sport Closed Beta Test Version first went live. While initially restricted to US PSN accounts only, Polyphony Digital has promised an expansion to other regions — specifically the EU — as part of Phase Two.

Well that was unexpected. After revealing the bonkers Evo VI Time Attack car yesterday, Slightly Mad Studios is at it again today with more cars set for inclusion in this year’s Project CARS 2.

Following on from the announcement of Imola and a Group C legend, Slightly Mad Studios has given us a first look at the latest addition to the Project CARS 2 roster, after teasing it this weekend — the Mitsubishi Evo VI by SVA.

With the launch of iRacing’s dirt-racing expansion just a few days away, the team has put together a launch trailer showing off all the content that will be available for the subscription-based racer. Players will be able to experience the “World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series” when the update arrives on March 29. If this trailer is anything to go on, the quality looks to be on par with the regular track-based racing iRacing fans are more familiar with.

The first race of the 2017 Formula One season is done and dusted (check out the results here). McLaren-Honda used the season opener as an opportunity to announce its latest partnership, with a name that should be immediately recognizable to sim racers.

Another weekend, another Forzathon, another vehicle for players to obtain, as Forza Horizon 3 has received the latest batch of Forzathon events. The challenges this time are themed around Japanese cars and features the appropriate name of “Spring Festival.”

This week’s events are a combination of time trial and drifting challenges, testing your mettle at a variety of racing venues. Whether it be tuned or purpose-built racing machines, this week’s events have a little bit of something for everyone.

First confirmed just under a year ago in a developer diary discussing the future plans of Assetto Corsa, the Mazda 787B and first-generation MX-5 Miata have finally made their way to the racing sim as free bonus content.
