Well, that was quick! Less than 24 hours after the first teaser images of Lexus’ Vision GT concept car were released, the full car has now been revealed.

A new batch of seasonal events are now available in Gran Turismo 6, featuring beginner, intermediate, and expert level challenges including non-race cars and race cars alike. While in Paris to help unveil the new Alpine Vision GT concept car, GT series creator Kazunori Yamauchi was awarded the “Grand Prize of Creativity” at the 30th International Automobile Festival for his contributions to the automotive industry.

Here it is! The first Vision GT concept car of 2015 was officially revealed during a special presentation at the Festival Automobile International in Paris earlier this evening, where Gran Turismo 6 was also awarded an innovation prize for the Vision GT program.

Nissan has confirmed that 2012 GT Academy European champion Wolfgang Reip will be driving the factory team’s #35 GT-R NISMO GT3 in the upcoming Bathurst 12 Hours, to be held February 6th-8th. He’ll be joined by fellow NISMO athletes Alex Buncombe and Katsumasa Chiyo.

French manufacturer Alpine have published the first official teaser images of their Vision Gran Turismo car on Twitter, with the promise that there are just “four days to go” until more information about the car is released.

A special Seasonal Event has been made available in Gran Turismo 6, celebrating the 24 Hours of Daytona taking place at the actual circuit this weekend. Of course, the Seasonal Event will be much shorter at only 24 minutes in length.

Two American GT Academy champions are teaming up this week to compete at the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge’s opening race at Daytona. 2011 champion Bryan Heitkotter and 2013 champion Nick McMillen will be driving the #41 Nissan 370Z for the Doran Racing team.
