Red Bull “Fan Car” Featured in Latest GT6 Seasonal Events

Gran Turismo 6

New seasonal events are now available in Gran Turismo 6. Unlike previous week’s where the featured events were very formulaic in nature, this week’s events are a mix of challenge events, drift trials, and a special single-lap time trial featuring any of the Red Bull “Fan Cars”.

This week’s prizes are unlike those offered previously as well as all reward vehicles are delivered to the victor’s garage with parts installed. This week’s challenges are as follows, and remember to stop by our GT6 Seasonal Events forum for in-depth analysis and discussion, tips and tricks, and much more.

people having trouble with the redbull event i find it helpful to drive in first person feel like im more precise with steering and feel more in control try it goodluck.

I use joystick and is impossible for me driving the Red Bull to get gold, or just bronze. I don’t want to spend hours trying it.

Damn that RedBull thing. “The real driving simulator”… yes, with fictional car put there by companies in order to advertise themselves. Really, this direction GT seems to have taken both with RedBull and with “Vision” is terrible.
For the Redbull itself, I only drove it in the GoodWood festival, and it’s terrible. I don’t own a wheel for my PS3, and the loss in precision introduced by driving with a controller seems to be somewhat proportional to the speed. In that case, I couldn’t even get to the fourth corner half of the times I played that. No hope of golding that (as I did with every other event of the series, without much effort).
Seriously, if I wanted to play with an unrealistic car which goes 0-200km/h in 5 seconds and comes with infinite downforce, I’d have played F-Zero. Really can’t believe this glorious, wonderful game series is destroying itself with its own hands.

Yes, I know I could Gold that. The matter is, “why?”. I found the Audi Quattro test at Goodwood quite challenging, but that was fine. In the end, I was trying to go faster with that actual car. With the RedBull, it was one of the rare occasions when, playing GT6, I felt like “hey, it’s only a videogame, no connection to reality”. When I feel this playing GT, I stop playing. I don’t find motivation to spend my time trying to pass a completely made-up challenge.
Don’t know why, I presume it’s just because when I play GT I want to feel like it was me in a real car driving in a real track, and not me wasting time in front of a TV screen. And I suspect not to be the only one.

I golded it on a DS3. And beat the gold requirement by 18 seconds. Don’t give up, and don’t balk. And PD DID say they were kicking up the difficulty for this set and the next set.

Really? I would’ve went with te 2014 because it handles the best and on this track, handling is more important than speed.

Death Valley is on December time, by the way. The sun is lower than normal, and sunset and sunrise is at about the same time as the real Death Valley in December.

That’s pretty cool. I do remember them saying that this sort of thing would be accurate on certain tracks. And the stars as well. Crazy attention to detail
