Man! You cats had me… the Sierra 700 wqs gonna be goldable! I was wwwrong. It is as painful as… it hurts to be as slow as me. I give ;(

It was fun attacking each corner with the gusto of a bull in a china store. But no gold this time around. That blast into and through the forest of the last section is too much for me.

    ARGH @$$!##&!

  2. Obelisk

Sierra?! Heck yeah! I’ll tear that event apart with…whatever it is that’ll work lol.

Also, PD, check your prizes…The GTI’s a repeat.

They should give us a car AND a paint chip as prize. I already own both of Beginner and intermediate Prize cars. I don’t own a HKS so that would be less of a problem for me.

I don’t even bother with the seasonals when the gift is a car. I already own most of them so why would i want another.

I keep the car that is gifted and sell the car I already have. Although I appreciate that if you have done a lot of changes to the existing car that might not be so practical (I tend to leave mine close to spec).

I kinda wish that PD would gift some standard cars once in a while. But these new seasonals have some cars I will drive :)

At this point, almost 2 years into the life of the game, I agree. I already own 99% of the Premium cars – only missing a few race cars that I don’t like to drive anyway. In fact, I would rather paint chips instead of these 3 cars which I already own.

PD these seasonal events aren’t cutting it right now. We need to get an update on the CM, VGTs, or FIA Championship (Doubt we’re getting that now)

    1. Tenacious D

      We do, we definitely do.

Some of us have “updated” via DriveClub, Assetto Corsa or Project CARS. I updated through RaceRoom, and man is it an “experience.” I might join those updating with Forza 6.

The fact that GT6 improvements are taking so long either means the small team working on them are taking the extra time and work to make them that much more special, or they’re having to time share work on GT7 and the GT6 goodies are going to be hors d’oeurves for the real content in GT7. Or the team is working full bore on GT7, and GT6 will get some ported trickle down goodies.

I’m hoping that the team is going all out to get GT7 out the door ASAP. I love GT6, but it and PS3 are so freaking OLD. All these next gen games look distinctly nicer, and Forza 6 has a chance to really shine alongside racers like P CARS. Making GT6 look… well, really old. Getting Course Maker II, FIA Championships and whatever else PD has in store for GT6 will add some much needed juice, making it more appealing. But as I’ve said many times now, anything PD can make for GT6 is going to be SO MUCH better on PS4.

So… I’m saying, why not go for The Big Time?

    2. Tenacious D

One more thing. I know that Gran Turismo needs some next gen attention in several areas. But what PD needs to work on before anything else is to give the bots a shot of racing adrenaline. The races in P CARS and RaceRoom are much closer and more realistic, and the bots are hungrier to win – sometimes a little too hungry, but that can be finessed. If the bots raced in every series like they do in the I-A Super GT events, that would improve things a lot, though they would still have to be faster.

One day, I’m hopeful that I won’t be using a lesser car in Gran Turismo in order to make the races a challenge.

GT6 should be dropped from any more support by PD, ( maybe it has been already with no meaningful updates recently ) and they should focus solely on GT7 in my opinion . PS4 has been out long enough now. Mostly everyone I know is on current gen thesedays.

    4. Manasseh257NSX

Why would they drop the support of GT6? You’re leaving thousands of players in the dark who still play online everyday and who may not be able to get a PS4 at the moment. (Me for example) If PD were to stop supporting online services for GT6 right now WITHOUT fulfilling their promises and finishing the game, they can kiss a chunk of their sales goodbye for GT7 as a good fraction of players will not buy the next title after feeling like PD saw them as an irrelevant factor in a decision to not finish up a game that should’ve been finished long ago.

    5. TJC_69

Because in my view GT6 is diluting future efforts from PD as a whole. They should just admit what problems they’ve had with the game publicly, and apologise for being too over ambitious with GT6 additional content, whilst putting all available resources into 7 now imo.

There is that on one hand Mannaseh, but they’ve done it before with 5, and when 7 appears they will more than likely kill 6 online pretty swiftly also. I think they’ve damaged future sales on 7 anyway from what’s happened with 6. It’s been downhill all the way since GT5. 6 has to be the the worst GT they’ve made so far, it was GT5 version 2.5 Lite Edition. They can make a real GT on PS4, and like I say, more hands involved in its creation, the faster it could be available for all.

    6. Coquico

Yes, tenacious, i think exactly like you. With so many high quality racing Games, GT6 suddenly become obsolet. I think that its better for PD to push hard to ge GT7 in christmas. We want a next gen GT!

    7. infamousphil

The GT6 is old and dead crowd really sound like you have no idea what GT’s history is and/or ideology is about. I myself bought into other consoles and racers for several different reasons… like tracks and cars. Then the next gen GT is released. Bigger and better.

Thing is that there’s no reason to rush into GT7. Sony, apparently, has no budget or intrest in supporting more than one interation of the same game. Plain and simple. And fine by me. I get that yall need the newest release of everything. It may not matter that PD’s current iteration still offers several cars, tracks and environments, no other producer offers. You see new stuff then curse you favorite(?) game. I’m certain that as soon as 7 is released that all fans of the franchise will be more than happy… for at least a week ;)
