GTPlanet’s Weekly Race Series heads to Europe this week for a fun romp around the Eiger Nordwand Short track.

As I’ve alluded to for the past several weeks, September is almost certainly going to result in my unfortunate demise. The Ultimate Edition of Forza Motorsport 6 is now live for those that have indulged a little, and as you may have already seen in GTPlanet’s own review of the game, Forza Motorsport 6 is perhaps the best installment yet and the series can only improve from here as a result.

We’re back to online racing this week, with the GTPlanet Endurance Series making a visit to Austria and the newest real track in the Gran Turismo series, the Red Bull Ring.

In what has already proven itself to be one of the most active years yet for sim racers, the commotion continues with Fanatec’s recent announcement of their newest product made in cooperation with Turn 10 Studios and tailor-made for Forza Motorsport 6, an official Forza Motorsport-branded ClubSport Wheel Rim GT.

Slightly Mad Studios have begun teasing this month’s upcoming DLC for Project CARS. This news comes just two weeks after the recently released Old vs. New Car Pack that introduced iconic classic cars and their modern day counterparts.

A new batch of seasonal events are now available in Gran Turismo 6 showcasing this week’s super lap and drift trial challenges. The events feature front engine rear-wheel drive non-race cars, Italian non-race cars, Mazda’s RX-7, and GT300 class race cars. Forza 6 reminds me of a 10 year old game. There, I’ve said it.

Forza Motorsport 6 releases this Thursday the 10th for early-access players, and next week for the remainder of the globe. GTPlanet has early access to the full version of the game, and now that reviews are popping up online, we can start showing you some of the different aspects of the game.

For the past several weeks Marco Massarutto, Licensing Project Manager at Kunos Simulazioni, has been teasing the contents of the upcoming Dream Pack 2 DLC that’s due later this month, and what we know thus far is that the pack will contain 10 brand-new cars and Circuit de Catalunya.

UPDATE: Although these numbers were reported in official court documents, they have since been discredited. Thanks to detective work from NeoGAF and here in GTPlanet’s community, we see the judge quoted sales numbers by VIRAG in their original claims against SCEA, made in July of 2014.

After a couple of weeks of extreme close-up teasing, the covers are finally off Bugatti’s Vision GT car due to head to GT6 in September.
