Ferrari 488 GTB Now Available in Driveclub

As teased in last week’s news, Ferrari’s twin-turbocharged 488 GTB is now available in Driveclub as a free downloadable add-on. This isn’t the first time Ferrari has used video games as a way of introducing their newest models to potential customers as Forza Motorsport 3 and Gran Turismo 5 were used to showcase the 488 GTB’s predecessor, the 458 Italia.

It doesn’t end there as the Renault R.S. 01 introduced in last week’s update as a reward for reaching Driver Level 66 is now available for purchase at $1.49 USD, making it instantly available for those pressed for free time.

    Free for the PS Plus version as well. Worth commenting because so much is locked on the plus demo, err version.

    Can’t wait to give this a try. As for the Renault R.S.01 , not sure if I should spring $1.49 or just do all the driving and get to Driver Level 66.

Driveclub’s final content update was a brilliant send-off for the title. Launched at the end of last month, 15 new Urban circuits taken from Driveclub VR (complete with reverse variants) joined the game’s track list for free to conclude an incredible post-game support cycle. The tracks themselves are very impressive although short, giving some much-needed love to city-based environments.

When we sat down with it, we found the VR version of Driveclub mostly the same as the original in terms of the gameplay and the majority of content. One of the more exciting aspects of the game was the 15 new urban tracks that racers were able to try out on the PSVR just two weeks ago at launch.
