AM Valkyrie having problems. Stopped on trackside.

EDIT: moving again after reset.

EDIT 2 : stopped again, trying to recycle itself.

On one hand, I would like someone other than Porsche to get the overall win.

On the other hand, I would be extremely satisfied if the Iron Banana beat the Penske Porsches.

It's getting foggy.
Quite. This is the view at the mall across from the track.

Currently, the mist/fog layer is above the Speedway, so it's not a major issue yet.

Full Course Yellow for debris (official reason), but RLM saying that the fireworks smoke and fog made the chicane difficult to see.

Well, it looked like small burning pieces did land at least to the lawn next to the track at some point, but not sure it they landed on the track aswell.

I'd agree with them. The smoke was pretty much stuck underneath the fog layer. It's only just now dissipated.

i wonder if there is any practical reason behind those lights, or are they purely for aesthetics?

Like, do they indicate the status of the gun, or tell when the lugnut is fully tightened?
I think the reporter said they turn a different color or turn white when the proper wheel torque is reached

As much as I enjoy seeing the safety car, couldn't the organizers pop over to the airport next door and borrow a few surface movement radars from them? :P:lol:

Edit: that Porsche could use a few extra strobes on the rear bumper, like it's WEC counterpart. That rear wing blocks the lightbar at certain angles, at least when seen from the cockpit camera.

I really hope the fog clears up soon, this is really getting boring. I mean I understand that they'd rather keep the FCY instead of red flagging the race but still.

Had a look, I thought in foggy conditions yellow lights are supposed to provide better visibility than white lights. Someone wake up the manager to O’Reilly or AutoZone and make a quick stop to get some yellow bulbs.
