Hey anybody knows if there´s a quick way of generating LUTs like this?:
|0=1,0,0|0.000018=1,0,0|0.00019=1,1,1|0.00020=1,0,0|0.00037=1,0,0|0.00038=0,1,0|...............

Not just the first values; I need it to spell out the entire thing (n+1/2=x,y,z+/-1) hundreds of iterations in text

Folder name has to be just: magny_cours

Just like the .kn5

As you can see the .kn5 file is magny_cours_v4.4b

Do it in rows in Excel/Sheets, export as a CSV and look up changing row denominators.

In case anyone missed it, Reboot Team's Daytona has been updated to version 1.3. It now has four layouts (NASCAR and Moto added) and seems to have been optimized even more. Now I'm getting good, consistent FPS, even at dusk with the track lights on (but only my own car with no AI cars--haven't tried it on a track day or race yet).

@slider666 reports that this is a WIP version and another update will be coming eventually. I haven't tested all the layouts, but I can't see how it could get any better (but there must be something).

Daytona v1.3

This track is indeed fantastic.
One thing noticed though with this version: night time is a lot darker than it was with previous versions. Not very realistic and makes it harder to see corners.

Yeah, I know, our messages crossed while I was uploading the picture.
Wonder why your S/F lights float and mine don't ... see pic above.

It´s floating in the air since I deleted both of the billboards.kn5 located in the main folders since these huge things aren´t there in real life and I rather like to drive on real tracks instead of some fantasy crap. Maybe @slider666 finds a fix but if not I can live with it.

I just have to say that whomever put together the GTPlanet physics upgrade for the Rollovers DPI vehicles did a phenomenal job. That combined with the amazing 4k 2021 skins on RaceDepartment takes the immersion level to the max. Thank you!

Here are the skinpacks that I found from Racedepartment for the Rollover DPI vehicles:
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/mazda-rt-24p-imsa-wtscc-livery-pack-4k-2k.36604/
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/cadillac-dpi-v-r-imsa-wtscc-livery-pack-4k-2k.36602/
https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/acura-arx-05-imsa-wtscc-livery-pack-4k-2k.36605/

Like those DPI:s, what upgrade and where? Thanks

Yeah, will take later a look on it in Blender to separate these light, if possible. :)

Did you edited the models.ini too?
If you changed folder and kn5 file name, change it in models.ini too. :)

It's the ACF version?
Japp, Assetto Corsa Fanboy = ACF

So after a great run with AC, where i had it looking great and playing great.

Recent messing around with 1.72 rain fx preview and what not i have major issues.

Latest one is that in a race, say i am in 6th, the first two cars at the front have no rear windows till i get to a certain distance.

Its not lods as the kunos cars the lods all have windows bar the final lod that you would never see anyway on track...

I am have to totally start again, absolutely gutted (in the sim racing context).

Add to the weird shadows in 1.71 and windscreen fx not working in 1.69 preview....

Not sure what has happened but i've tried everything, reinstalled sols, downgraded CSP, up graded CSP....

It all started when i installed HSW, which i hope is just a coincidence.

Personally i think its something to do with the windscreen shaders.

Sorry to hear about your issues. I'm really thinking that your new problems aren't anything to do with CSP/CM/SOL. I've tried all the recent versions up to 1.72preview1 without any significant problem (and the same with recent SOL builds), but I have read other reports on the CSP discord about HSW screwing lots of things up. Do you have a backup of the Custom Shaders extension folder that you can reinstall as a (re)starting point - after cleaning all the HSW files off?

I'm quite sure the same happened on my system with AC. I installed HSW and it seems that it 'messed up*' other things too despite the type of files doesn't seem to be hitting 'the core'. Just some CSP/AC video settings but still. I cannot put my finger behind it but long story short: I need to delete and reinstall CSP/SOL etc. ANd I hope with you too it is a coincidence?

* and that's probably because I messed up something and not HSW itself

I've fixed all the wipers for the Kunos cars for which they didn't work (as in the wipers didn't clear the windscreen), just drop the ini-files in the zip into your assettocorsa/extension/config/cars/loaded folder and overwrite the files.

If you want to do it manually just add the [WIPERS_TRACE_...] section from the included ini to the respective ini-file in your above mentioned folder.

If I've overlooked a car just tell me...I tried to upload it to the github thing so it would be included in Content Manager updates but it seems a bit cumbersome. If anyone feels like doing that be my guest.

Cars include:

Abarth 500 (+S1)
Alfa Romeo Mito QV
Auto Sport Quattro
Ferrari 288 GTO
Ferrari 488 GT3
Lamborghini Countach (+S1)
Lamborghini Huracan ST
Mercedes AMG GT3
Mercedes SLS GT3
Porsche 908lh
Porsche 917k
Porsche 962c Longtail
Porsche 962c Shorttail
Porsche 935 Moby Dick

I'll upload some fixes for mod cars and tracks in a following post...enjoy the rain!

And here are a few inis for mod-cars I have with working animation but non clearing wipers. If there are more I'd be happy to hear about them and fix them.

Installation is the same as for the Kunos cars in my previous post, just drop the inis you want in your assettocorsa/extension/config/cars/loaded folder and overwrite eventual files.

Cars include:

Mitsubishi Galant VR4
Ford Escort MK2 (+S1 & GR4)
Morgan Plus 4 (GD)
Ligier JS8 (+S1)
The RSS GT1 cars (wiper animation for the Tornado/Lister is broken though)
Alfa GTA by tc-legends

I'll add some track-inis in a later post. Enjoy the rain!

Well i solved the missing rear windows on AI cars, i'd played around with the cars LODS setting in CSP and if i use the new settings preset its fine, if i go back to the ones CSP originally uses the windows disappear!

Very odd. I have fiddled too much i think, i have like 30 CSP presets all with different settings for stuff like CMMA SMMA FX311 etc etc.

Regards the back up if i did a fresh install of say 1.72 CSP that would overwrite the old stuff anyway?

In fairness to HSW i only installed his weather not his CSP presets or graphic settings, so in truth I dont think this is anything to do with that.

Somewhere i have messed up and at least i have the rear AI windows back, but its all very strange.

I've deleted CSP and re installed and still each one has a little issue, most annoying is rain 1.69 preview not having window fx working, i have to turn it off to get inner reflections but then get the windscreen shadows.

Might just remove all presets and save them somewhere then try again a fresh install.

From Fecebook... imagine someone going a little crazy with their Caterham build.

The shifting animation needs some adjustment as the driver's reach is too short and low.

After seeing some videos of people testing my Caterham-edit I realised I needed to spent a bit more time on it. So, here's an updated version. Nothing visual, just physics. It's still not an easy car to drive fast and it shouldn't be.

https://www.mediafire.com/.../caterham_rs900_v1.3.zip/file

No idea why the original shifting animation got removed and replaced with one that's nowhere close, but here's the proper one (remove the .txt from the end and drop it in the 'animations' folder)
If that doesn't work for any reason, just copy the correct one from the Caterham Super7 1700 Super Sprint LHD

Thanks @Masscot, that's perfect. I let the author know about the fix.

Driver "jiggle" movement
On the subject of driver animations, I wonder if there's a way to add some "jiggle" to the driver's body and legs, maybe increasing as the car accelerates, or better yet, reacts to g-forces. Nothing major, but just enough movement so it's noticeable. For best results, it'd probably require a new driver model with dummies or controls for the shoulders, elbows, waist, knees and feet. The feature would likely need to be added in CSP. I think this would drastically improve the immersion for any sim, especially for VR users.

Okay guys...
I've been scrolling through some of this topic through the months... Probably years even... I'd say I've seen perhaps 30 % of it all...
Massive cadeaux for you all to post all these gems...

This was my time to sign up here:
I am looking for some help to find a previous mod release for AC... It's the Pagani Zonda GR - the lightly flunked GTS race car from 2003...
There are screenshots and videos of this car running in AC 1.13... Links has disappeared... blocked adfly accounts... Deleted AC-Facebook pages where working links would have been available...
https://www.hsw.hu/?p=55368

Here's a video of it running in AC

So it's been out there... Does anyone have it still and is it possible to re-upload?

Any hints would be appeciated... Trying to make as complete an ALMS/Le Mans grid from the early 00's as possible.

More than 1 year later but... Someone has that Zonda GR Bjorn_G tried to find? It's really hard to find it now (at least for me), and I found it in an hungarian weird site but the link is down :)

I've got the car but it's an RTM mod. I'd be glad to share it here, but only if I get permission to do so.

Same here, def linked to the HSW install. Messes up the complete settings of AC and CSP that you have. Just ran a setback to earlier date with Windows to get my old settings back. And just binned the HSW download....

I was the same. Messed around with how AC was running. Had to delete the it.

Great Idea on the Praga and Honda Sound swaps!

Just a quick note the SCG doesn't rev high enough to be a useful sound for the Nissan DPI

I used that sound and it works fine for me. I actually like it because it's quite unique with the revs.

I think the RPM in the GTP physics for most cars are pretty high vs those cars. The sound that came with the GTP stuff doesn't match RPM wish which was one of the issue to start with.

The ones I ended up using, I tried to match the real world layout as much as I can:
Cadillac: IER Corvette DP(small black chevy V8)
Acura: RSS Formula2 V6(Turbo V6, though the Acura engine is a TT and the F2 car is a single, I should try the URD Ford GT sound next)
Mazda: AAR Eagle MKIII(turbo 4)

I haven't tried the Nissan yet.

I also do agree I think the GTP physics is maybe a tad too fast. You can probably throw restrictor at it until they hit a more realistic laptime. Considering the car will do 200mph still on F1/R3 wing setting with 55% restrictor(and run 1:34s) I think they are either too slippery or too powerful...

The main thing is the ARX-05 is actually the engine used for the NSX: AR35 but like you said it's a TT that's why i went for the NSX GT3 (use the evo sound if i were you) the Nissan Onroak uses the VR38 but it's a different sound compared to the GT-R so try the SCG or the GT-R to see which will be better either way they are both V6s anyways.

I wish more tracks had them. If used IRL, as long as they break away and don't cause damage to the car, they'd help those learning the track, and be very visible for evening and night racing. Regardless, maybe someone can write a config that removes them if you like.
Useful posters are useful but they are not real, I prefer reality

Ahh, it's the 'Limit some things if there are a lot of cars' checkbox next to it.
That seems to be EXACTLY IT!!! I´ll keep on testing but it sure seems like it. Thank you!!! :)

I stil couldn´t find a thorough and detailed manual for CM. Do you know any?
