I'm not sure why CSP previews do this with the car - you can see the default state has them closed in the normal CM Showroom.

However, if you want a quick fix for this, just remove the animation file from the folder when you generate the previews and then drop them back in when you're done. Haven't tried it but should work.
Thanks Rodger... That's essentially what I did in the end 👍
If I had to guess, I'd say that the animation is trying to run as CSP loads AC to make the shot, and there's a tiny delay, so the doors appear half closed.
Why it doesn't do the same on ALL door-close animations? Timing? Keyframes? Who knows? 😊

In fact, the more I think about this, @Masscot @Fall Guy, the more I'm liking the animations (steer, suspension, doors etc, etc) as the culprit in some/most/all of this. Differences in timing, PC horsepower, other-process load yada-yada, could easily explain the randomised results?

@Peter Boese, Apologies for my somewhat late response on your well received answers and good advices/suggestions.

Yes, I meant PostProcessing in general BTW.

Been trying this stuff back and forth several times in order to find out what works best for me aiming for satisfying visuals.

I ended up leaving all at default with Pure Gamma enabled without usage of any PP filter. Yes, it all looks even better using PP's, but...frames go down severly (~30%-ish). Must be due to 2160p I guess. Also tried 1440p with all stuff enabled and that works flawless, however...I like 2160p better personally. I'll keep it that way. Setting time of day and weather does add up to the immersion I have to say.

Not necessary to remove the folder, it´s enough you rename it to something different (I usually just put a 1 in between the folder´s name like ani1mation), do the preview, and re-name it back. Also works for the extension folder!

3 questions:
does someone has a massive racing numberplate pack and would be able to share it?
also has someone a gran turismo racing numberplate?
and does someone maybe knows a way to reach besides a dm? @petercrill ?
 
I still think Rob Bonkers' Mini Cooper Cup UK edges it for me. Less power, less grip and a manual gearbox makes it slightly more fun for me. And the skins are bloody fantastic for spec races.

Whoah, that's one hell of a necrobump..! No wonder I didn't remember writing that earlier today. Not aware of a wiper config for it but hopefully someone somewhere has added it? Still a great car.
 
Small issue with the sweet rj_doningtonpark2023.
Crews are on the wrong side of the pits, on the right, gingerly waiting to get un-legged by the entering/exiting cars. :(

In the data folder there should be a crew.ini file that determines which side the crew stand on. 1 for Left, and -1 for Right.
 
Upon request, a fake gold skin "Reiter Engineering Gold" for the Lamborghini Diablo GTR "F302" v1.1.1 (found on actk; they also added my black Reiter Engineering skin enhanced with AO, which I don't know how to make). For convenience, I copied and pasted the Lamborghini logo on the side, the number plate, and the logo on the front hood. Everything else was redone from scratch. I apologize for any small inaccuracies in the details.

Has anyone experienced this problem recently? Some of my tracks seem to have objects, kerbs, track surfaces and, trees "doubling up". It's like it's 2 track versions or skins are fighting each other for visibility.

The flags above the covered grandstands and the ones appearing through the seats below show an example of what's happening.

This only started a couple of days ago and has made AC unplayable as it just flickers the whole time. I'm not aware of making any changes, but I guess I must have changed some setting somewhere. I think this is a different issue to the one mentioned a couple of pages back, but apologies if I am repeating a known issue.

which GT numberplate do you mean? do you have an example?
Should be no problem to create one ;)

No one has a clue what causes this MAJOR issue?

And no... it's not the CSP as it started to happen on 0.1.79 as well.

Must be some Content Manager setting that screws things up.

Has anyone had issues with AI cars bouncing and flipping in the pits. It seems crazy i know! I am launching a custom Race through CM and all the cars and track are mods with no previous issues. I added Legions Chevron B16s to the grid and they started bouncing on their suspensions before starting to flip end over end and the game crashes. I’ve tried adjusted the suspensions in the data file but it hasn’t solved it. If anyone is using Legions Chevron B16s can you tell me what version of CSP you are using?

Fixed a one-sided object on the stand.
Even when CSP settings → General Patch Settings → CPU optimizations → Chunks optimizations are set to Advanced, ground objects are no longer hidden. (Tested with CSP 0.2.12-preview1.)

Hi All. I have a strange problem. I get weird lollipops and objects above my car when starting from the pits. Please see photos. Can any body help please. On latest CSP and Pure LCS. Many thanks. I play in VR but it’s the same on flat screen.
Check inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\objects3D
if the size of pit_indicator.kn5 file is 266 KB.
If not you have a modded file

Thanks. Yes sorted it now. Put all the original 3D objects back that had been changed.😎
 
Unfortunately, that didn't work, but thanks for the reply.
Oh well, looks like I've got a weekend ticking and unticking boxes in content manager. Oh, the joys of Assetto Corsa!
It appears turning off 'Track Adjustments' solves the problem, but with it off, my CPU usage doubles!
It's not been an issue until this week, but I do recall CM updating itself a couple of days ago, so maybe something has changed.
 
What's the most stable CSP version ? Please don't tell me 0.1.79 because it just won't ****ing work anymore on my PC lol

Impossible to launch a race, solo session, whatevs - infinite loading screen
 
May I ask you to do this work? I tried Blender before, but unfortunately it was a failure. I would be very grateful if you could solve this problem.

Here you go. I also found that the Mosler was wrong, not sure if you were using that car or not. Just overwrite the kn5 in each car's folder with the same named one and it should be fine. Worked on my side.

I'm on 0.2.8-preview1 and all seems fine between 617 racecars and 144 tracks.
Few days ago car flames have disappeared from the sim but I leave the house door open so that they can come back.
