RSS has an bot on their server that bans you if are in any of their "pirate discord servers" which i literally just randomly assigned based on their opinion and not fact lol.

They banned my main account couple of months ago for participating in "pirated discord servers" when the only servers i was in was VRC, RSS, URD, SRP and Touge Union lol.
Lol same they banned my account and the only servers I'm in are VRC, AMS / AMS2 / Project Cars Modding and JGT database. So much piracy going on there
 
Not only that. If you post a photo that isn't from an RSS mod, they ban you. If you ask them if they could improve something or add something to one of their cars, guess what they do? That's right, they ban you too. With other teams, you ask and they say yes or no and explain without any problem why it is or isn't possible.
I got banned from URD for saying a skin that one of the members of the URD team made for a RSS car was a downgrade to a stock skin. I was given grief on the VRC server for saying their cars have unrealistically fast pace. I was told i was an alien sim racer by staff. If you have ever seen me race, you will know that is far from the truth.

Also, RSS does not ban you for saying something is wrong or wanting something changed. They have banned people for arguing. People come in and say something is wrong but give no information on how it is wrong. They then keep arguing about it. So many times CC has added something to a car that someone wanted. They literally do GTWC, IMSA and WEC variants of the GT3 cars because someone asked for the different panels to go on the cars.

Also, they dont have some bot that automatically bans you from their discord. Everyone banned was done so by an admin. It means they found you in a place that was actively sharing their content for free.

EDIT: most barriers present in PCars were removed, so thats why there is the Mini-Circuit (3.7km) in the middle of Stage1, tunnel was made driveable too;
also in the middle of Stage2, on the hairspin-section, you can take 2 shorter, but steeper routes

Fun car, easily the loudest car I've ever heard IRL too
I never heard it irl, but it is said that the 787B could be heard at all times around the track at Le Mans, no matter where it was. And they have basically the same engine.

The sounds in game really do the cars no justice, in that regard

I had a 1987 RX-7 Turbo II back in the days, so this is one of my favourite cars of all times. Even though the IMSA car is just a fiberglass shell on a space frame chassis.

The rotary engine is actually very clever, but it has some weak spots that were never really sorted out properly. So it's more difficult to maintain than a regular piston engine, even with a lot fewer moving parts and less stress on most components.

Well said . Too much jealousy aimed at RSS because of the quality of their mods and the fact that the likes of Max Verstappen will help develop their mods too.

Hilarious if true. I thought Discord kind of policed piracy anyway, and piracy discords got nuked pretty quickly, at least to the best of my knowledge. My best guess would be because I never actually left The Racing Rats discord, which was because I was waiting for some fictional car they said they were working on, but never actually came. All the other Assetto discords I'm in are kosher as far as I know.

Luckily from my past experiences with thin skinned mod authors from other modding communities I had the foresight to slip an alt account into every server I want to look at (In RSS, URD, and VRC's case, it's the skin channels since people like Marco17 make skins and I don't always get the updates on patreon so it's easier to just look at the RSS skin section) but it is mildly annoying to have to do so.

I think "You're just jealous" is kind of a low level cope response, you have the right to not like people. Like I said, I think RSS mods are good, I just think that sometimes other studios are better, and I think the RSS devs are babies sometimes. Hell, I probably appear to be a complete URD fanboy but I think some of their guys act like weenies sometimes too. These things can have nuance, I can think the RSS devs themselves are odd and still like their mods, while preferring some others, and genuinely wish that everybody improves, they aren't mutually exclusive positions.

Looks good, but that one has the same problem as the original dry look. It looks the same everywhere and has no variety to the terrain. I'm trying to find a good way to mix in some green amongst the dry, like the real life pictures I looked at yesterday.

Two of these versions are cool actually. It adds more detail and atmosphere to the track.
 
A huge OMG WOW for the recent Azure Coast release. Relentless immersive detail. Awesome foliage. Road and concrete textures to die on. Layout madness. Almost flawless AI. I could go on, but I have to get back there. Gets my highest rating..."Go here". (screen capture currently sucks, btw)(Running the STC2000 carset, much better matched to the track than my N24 or STW carsets)

i have many Track-objects borrowed from many other tracks whose creators I don't know, so i can not realease my version because the Balloon-Man here will kick me in the ass:ouch:

I have nothing changed on my CSP-settings ( i use a older version of CSP, i think 0.231 preview and a older Pure version)

I doubt anyone is jealous of RSS or anything like that. They make quality products, sure, but CC is an egotistical waffle head who can’t accept criticism properly unless you write him a 10-page essay explaining yourself. This is the same guy who accused Chemflummi of being a thief with no morals just because Chem ported various cars to AC before his little entourage could release their paid versions to the public. Which is hilariously ironic if you know who CC is and what he started his "modding" career doing on pCars. Using the Max Verstappen line is such a moot point. It doesn’t matter in the slightest to the original conversation. It just comes across like you’re meatriding RSS for no reason other than to insult other creators.

Yeah I kinda agree

When I argued that their F10 had unrealistic buldges and showed evidences as to why, they weren't the one giving me a tough time but rather their fans. And even when it sparked a big train in the discussion channel they didn't ban me.

I still think the justification given as to why rss was right and me wrong is nonsense, but at least they weren't kim jung un.

The rule about posting only RSS stuff and not other teams I also understand and don't blame them. RSS server is centered around RSS, other teams have their discord, if things gets separated it's better for everyone. On the opposite sides, in F1 discord servers related, the picture channel is the same accross the 3 F1 server i'm in because people cross post their pic accross servers. So it kinda ruin everything. I want to see pictures of one modder car, I go to the picture channel of his server and there's too much things i don't care about. And I have to scroll.

As for the "piracy = ban" yeah I also understand that rule, but it still kinda sucks. I joined one with my main account to confront someone who was sharing my mods under a paywall, and immediately got banned by rss. And I don't care that much to DM rss and tell them "ye unban me i wasn't actually pirating but protecting my stuff". But I still doubt that it was done by an admin because I was banned when I was not active on the discord server, so unless that admin randomly check the user list of rss server i don't see how he found me.

Chem is great, it sucks he decided to abandon Assetto modding. I still prefer his 296 over the URD and RSS ones and his C7 is my favorite GT3 car to drive outright. (I am a biased GM fanboy though, and a purist who doesn't like the C8 though)

Btw if any track config expert could make the brake markers and flags disappear on the ChiquitaFreaky layouts that'd be mega !!!

Hi @racinjoe013 are you planning to make skins for the surroundings of Fenryr's Imola, the same way you made for the Nürburgring? I remember you had done something similar, but with a totally different track folder (which btw looked amazing as always). But since then, the track has been updated to version 1.6 with the newer curbs etc. Unfortunately, his trees look really bad and the same goes for the grandstand on the right side after 'Acque Minerali', which I wish we could get rid of!

- This means lanes are now tighter
  • Daishi PA has additional barriers, forcing you to go trough the tollbooth, before reversing into the parking area, like IRL
  • Smoothed unrealistic kink in Edobashi which could cause cars to get air. The road now matches IRL better.
  • Physical mesh has been remade to be more consistent across the whole map

Performance
  • Merged common signs in Yokohane
  • Redistributed models across Shinjuku, Shibuya and Yoyogi. Shinjuku and Shibuya now have seperate kn5s. Shinjuku Crossing area has been merged with Shibuya route. New LODs on these areas.
  • Redid LODs for all areas. Might cause popping
  • Split C1 into chunks, optimised for performance

Hi @racinjoe013 are you planning to make skins for the surroundings of Fenryr's Imola, the same way you made for the Nürburgring? I remember you had done something similar, but with a totally different track folder (which btw looked amazing as always). But since then, the track has been updated to version 1.6 with the newer curbs etc. Unfortunately, his trees look really bad and the same goes for the grandstand on the right side after 'Acque Minerali', which I wish we could get rid of!
Hadn't planned to mostly because I didn't know there was a 1.6 version of the track. I don't follow track makers other than the ones here so I was unaware of the new version. If he didn't do any drastic material name changes, I imagine the stuff I did would port over rather easily.
 
After nearly 12 years of ****** starts with AC's Ai, i finally found a workaround and managed to get the AI start like a normal crackhead.



Track is greenwood from Sergio Loro

It was a battle against the machine, reverse engineering, and it took 12 people and 876 hours to crack.

Kidding of course, in the end, the solution was to tell the AI "you can fully press the gasthrottle for 7 seconds at start". That's... Pretty much it.





I'm a little disapointed, to be honest. Even with the racestart timer and exceptions for other cases, it's barelly a few lines of code.

Of course the AI will try to space itself (like it always does at start) but with some safeguards off it's actually competent at bringing 25 cars moving at the player's pace.


I'll include it in the next aiwhisperer update.
