I so want F1 back on the Beeb, I hate having to go to Ads every 7 laps for 3 minutes at a time. Destroying the sport.

Yea ITV are REALLY bad with ads. Have you ever watched a boxing match on that channel. They have ads in between the freakin rounds:mad:

ALONSO PUNISHED FOR (blocking?) MASSA

Massa complained to officials that Alonso had blocked him whilst on his final run at the end of session. The stewards agreed and deleted the Renault star’s three fastest times from Q3, though they did concede that Alonso’s actions may not have been deliberate.

Considering that Alonso was at 300m ahead from Massa during the whole lap, and they were doing exactly the same times...

Sincerely, FIA...

WHAT THE ****?

That's ridiculous!

The headline should be, "Alonso punished for driving well in front of a Ferrari at Monza."

Indeed, the worst thing is Massa isn't even fighting for the championship. I knew I hated him, since his first race with Ferrari.

Looks like they'll do anything to let Michael gain points.

A very confusing decision indeed...a good 300-400m in front, how is that impeding?

A bit of help for Micheal from Massa I feel.

Also, what about Michael's ILLEGAL movement in the last GP start? He changed of side three times in a second, something illegal, but he wasn't even warned.

Alonso didn't see a single blue flag and, therefore, he WASN'T blocking Massa... and even if he was, nobody told him to get out of his way.

This year Schumacher is going to leave F1, and he's gonna do it being 8 times world champion... one way or another. This is a shame.

http://www.thef1.com/noticias/2006/noticia_20307.shtml This kinda reflects how do I feel right now, too bad it's in spanish and I don't feel like translating it :(

ROFl thats pretty lame. can thye overturn the rulling?

It's called gamesmanship. Ferrari can only get away with this at an Italian race. I wonder why?
I would'nt say the officials are corrupt in anyway. This isn't Italian football, is it?

Don't blame him...when Ferrari and the stewards do some business behind doors what can ya say. Sorry, but this is down to something being down illegally in this sport. Alonso did nothing wrong, why was he punished? Micheal has done things wrong before, why was he never punished/punished enough?

Thank god he's going...less insentive for favortism.

Well, that's one of the most confusing and bizarre decisions I've ever seen reached in F1. It's certainly hard to see how anyone could accuse the Italian race stewards of bias in favour of the Italian race team.

was it that way the whole lap ? not defending Ferrari I support BMW lol , but they have fottage we don't see I think , and they have collected data from both teams ....ect

Massa never got within a second of the back of Alonso's car, and Alonso was showing green sectors (personal bests for the session) throughout the lap he was supposed to be blocking Massa!

According to Max Moseley, as he was being interviewed by Martin Brundle on the grid, they got telemetry data that showed Massa's car was destableised (or however you spell it) at the parabolica by the disturbed air from the back of Alonso's car. It's written in the rules that someone on an outlap must let a guy on his fastlap past or be penalised.

According to Max again, Alonso's and Renault's problems were their problems. Massa shouldn't be penalised for what was happening at Renault.

Alonso had to go for it in order to start his qualifying lap. If he'd let Massa past, he wouldn't have made it.

Then why didn't the stewards show any blue flags to Alonso? If he's not told from them to let Massa pass him, he just doesn't have to.

Well, It looks like Alonso just lost the championship. At the pace Schumacher as been displaying lately, I have no doubt he will be the championship winner for this season.

The announcement he plans to make at the end of the race I think will be in regard to his retirement. I don't think he'll retire this year, but it does look like it. I think it's possible he could be leaving Ferrari for one more year as a free agent.

Michael Retires at the end of the 2006 F1 Season. Our commentator just read a press release that was released by Ferrari that confirmed it.

Another nearly-completely yawnsome F1 race. I've no idea why I even bothered getting up today...

See ya Schuey...

Anyways, yeah bit boring, happy Alonso went out in that it gave Kubica what his drive deserved and closed the Championship up to the wire. Reckon Schuey will snatch it

I hope he gets fined for hijacking the winners press conference.

I knew it! Good for Felipe, he'll still have his place in Ferrari next year.

About the race, great performance by Kubica! Congrats to him.

I think it's fair enough he talked about it, and he was asked about it so he answered. Nothing wrong with that. He talked about the race too.

well he is the winner so he can do whatever he wants with it.
The winner's press conference is there so that the winner can talk about his race. Not about what he is going to do in the future.

For a course that's well known for a lot of passing, there shouldn't wasn't a whole of it.

Race... meh...

Alonso blowing his load... sucks, big time... it just cost him the championship...

MS retiring... not a big surprise... later, dude...

Kubica... gives me hope a "too tall" like me can race a F1 car... Perhaps my driver to cheer for next season...

Ferrari... proof they still have no class after all these years...

Fisi... Huh? Did he race today? Well, at least he scored some points.

Kimi... You ain't no MS... so give up trying...

Cool moment of the race... Alonso's drag race in the pit lane... yawn...
