The only thing i am missing is the mention of a potential Sophy update. We may have to wait for the finals to see the current state of this tech.
This is all I look forward to be honest. Sophy is a game changer, and improvements and more support would be overkill.

As a final commentary (not aimed at anyone in particular) I feel really sad for the people who can´t enjoy or get hyped for what is coming. Obviously everyone is entilted to have their opinions, I just feel sad for them not being half as happy as I am for december.
It may sound a bit stupid, but I feel like a child waiting for christmas presents and Im a grown adult who lived more than 40 winters :D

My reaction was out of place.

Some sort've bigger Sophy feature update would definitely be worthy of a Spec III

Well I think it is possible. The Sophy 2.0 came out with spec 2. It could be announced closer to release date of Spec III like with official trailer day before. I also think that lack of sophy updates with last 2 updates is related with sonething big coming. Maybe Sophy 3.0 with weather? I hope :)

Yea, I'm hoping because the Sony AI people seem to be operating kind of separately from PD, that they don't want to announce anything unless they are sure it'll make it into the update, which is the smart way to go about it, and we are still 2-3 months out.

Other scenarios are just that with two new tracks, Sony AI has been focused on running the system on them with all the cars. They should only need the actual course path and surface detail to train it I imagine, but perhaps the penalty/allowable corner cutting room hasn't been nailed down by PD yet and they can't nail Sophy down til then? I don't know, just throwing theories out there.

This is an AMAZING update and shows PD have been working hard to develop the modellng for two new tracks which is the great Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi GP track which I only seen through F1 coverage and games.

It's possible SONY allowed them after breaking good profits, some core budget to go and scan those tracks to include in the game?

These two pictures really got me salivating at the idea that we could really do some amazing GT Racing at both of these tracks.
I am just hoping and praying the other 4 cars are newer GT3 cars!! BMW M4 GT3 maybe??
Not sum dull ass boring SUV's, one can dream I guess!

Data Logger - great idea but a little late by PD when some 3rd party developers have made some good apps for that to integrate into the game.

Mitsobbbisshiii FTO - Great to see the OG Legendary Gran Turismo 1 car back, shame its not greeted with a Racing modification option, maybe an engine swap might be available on the updates release come December???

Pppppplease KAZ make it so!!! Still a nice XMAS present if you think about it lol!

High School Please GIF

Absolutely. All tracks and layouts support? Rain support? Tires selection? Improved pace and overall challenge?

I love Sophy and arguably it's the best addition to single player. Really hoping for an improvement with this update.

As an Asperger autistic person, I couldn't care less about how others, strangers, care for my "happiness" about a trivial update. My happiness lies in the unconditional love of my wife, my children's evolution and contentment, my personal quirks and principles and last but certainly not least the benefits of not taking part in mainstream opinions. I will not ever be euforic about superficial updates wrapped as a hyped Christmas gift.

I certainly don't need your pitty.

GT3 cars can be fun, and I use them for the appropriate events. Many of them are iconic. However, I find the actual driving to be somewhat underwhelming (most of the time). The road cars (especially with sport tires) offer so much more in terms of driver engagement IMO. I'm happy we're getting the 296 GT3 Car, and I will be adding quite a few miles onto the odometer, but if pressed I'd honestly say that I would prefer the standard 296 GTB/GTS.

I very much hope the 4 cars, we currently don't have any info on, turn out to be anything other than more GT3 cars (although, I certainly wouldn't mind another historic Group C car, if I'm honest). There are far too many classic vehicles that we have yet to see for them to utilize that space for another GT3 car. I'd prefer that space be filled by something like a classic M5, any other kind of wagon (like an RS4, Legnum, C-Class Estate, etc...), a Kei car such as the Autozam AZ-1, or a race car from an historic racing series like BTCC/JGTC/Group C/etc... etc...

I could see the 8 additions being split 50:50 between racing and road cars. Just pray the other road cars are not SUVs!

As for possible unannounced new features - Could we finally see endurance races arrive alongside an updated Sophy?
Endurance races with Sophy would be great. I would also love love love to see car interior modification...but I think they would have put that in the reveal information.

Wonder if october and november will be skiped considering the massive spec lll update in december. Everything sounds quite exciting.

It currently looks that way. Although our own Famine has hinted that may not be the case. So stay tuned I suppose. 🤷‍♂️

Am I the only one here who is more excited for the Mines R34 Skyline than the 296 GT3? 🤗 I see so many fans clamouring for GT3 cars, particularly the M4 for some reason. But I'm really excited for the Skyline. I'm also looking forward to the FTO more than the Ferrari. And I'm a Ferrari fan 🤣

Would love some old school BTCC cars in any game series to be honest. Would be perfect if they drop some in GT7 but highly unlikely.

VERY excited about the FTO GP Version R, and the Benetton styled F1 car (I'm a huge F1 fan). The Ferrari 296 is my favourite current Ferrari model so I'm certainly going to enjoy the 296 GT3, but as I've already said, I'd prefer the road going version.

The cars get dirty? I thought that was broken because none of my cars have ever become dirty

Also, screw it, I'm speculating on the other cars. Given the FTO is in there, maybe they went to the well for the GTR LM

Which, of course, allows us to have this in widebody form

Given how they seem to want to celebrate the first game, it would make sense.
I think this may be one of the next ones seeing as the Nismo 400R didn't have a widebody that turned it into the LM but the R34 and R32 Nismo both did. May be nothing but I feel that one didn't have a drastic kit for a reason.

You are not alone in this, my friend.

Street cars always

Unless a Lotus Emira (or an Evora), any Audi that is not a TT or R8 variation, or even a current road version of the M4 are one of the unannounced cars (spoilers: none of these is happening), the FTO is the only thing from Spec III that I'm interested so far, sadly.

I mostly use road cars in GT7. Couldn't give less of a damn about GT3 and F1 stuff.

It doesnt seem that you dont care if you have the need to respond in that harsh way.
Im really sorry if in any way you feel yourself insulted by my message but thats entirely on you.

As I said, it wasnt pointed at anyone in particular and I didnt infer the things that you put in your response (to put a game over the love of a family, values, principles etc)

Your comparisson is way off place.
I hope you the best for the important things in life and also enjoying videogames

P.S.: and no, I dont feel pitty for people who I dont know. The message was trying to express how stupidly happy a trivial thing like this could make some people (like me) and the wish for the others to enjoy it in the same way.

ZEE
One can dream right......rightttt???? lol

Imagine racing this with the 296 GT3 Car!!!
I don't need to imagine, I do it quite frequently on LMU and iRacing and Forza ;)

Racing the FTO against a Landcruiser and Citroen BX with unwieldy engines swapped into them? Now that's something I want to imagine..

You say none of the cars that you would like to see is happening but how can you be sure? Yes, I agree that Lotus is probably not going to make an appearance but why not the new M4 or the datamined RS6 Avant from 2008?
