StarLight Garage presents the Mosler MT900 GTR XX Twin Turbo Land Shark from 2009.
A supercar with 2500 hp, Yes, you read it right!
Two times as much as an SSC or Bugatti Veyron.
This makes it the most powerful road legal car available.
Who dares to drive this rocket?

Most people know about the Mosler MT900 and it’s combination of low weight and loads of horsepower. The MT900 GTR XX is the ultimate variant of Mosler’s current model line. It celebrates the companies 20th anniversary and went on sale last month. Intense Automotive Design have received one of these exclusive cars and have immediately set about bending the laws of physics!

The most interesting change is one which has allowed the car to be registered in the US state of California as a hybrid. It runs on a mixture of petrol, methanol, hydrogen, and ethanol which apparently accounts for the huge amounts of power that the specifications sheet claims.
The price you pay for technology like this? For a start, the racing fuel pumps are capable of delivering six gallons (22.7 liters) per minute! So this
isn't meant for long trips!

The whole car has essentially been stripped down, and most parts replaced with one-off parts.
Examples of this are the double engine management system and the various IAD engine components course, these are necessary for such a high performance machine. All these changes allow the engine to spin to 10,000rpm. Theres a huge list of components used in the Induction/ Ignition/ Transmission, mostly made from the highest quality materials, carbon and titanium feature heavily.

Performance:

0-60 mph = 2.5 seconds
0-150 mph = 6.7 seconds
0-250 mph = 17.5 seconds
1/4 mile = 9.0 seconds
1/4 mile speed = 178mph (286 km/h)
0 to 150 mph and back to 0 = 8.7 seconds
Braking: 250 mph (400 km/h) to 0 in 8.5 seconds

It sees the limiter at 305 mph (490 km/h) because of the rear spoiler and the methanol mix, however the company claim it could be good aerodynamically for over 400 mph (640 km/h) ... just too crazy for words. Essentially all we need to know is that 305mph would be the actual top speed.

Aerodynamics are another big part of what the ‘Land Shark’ does. There’s modified front splitters, dive planes, air intakes (including roof), a flat floor with air ducting, side vents and a carbon fibre spoiler.
The wheels are carbon fibre with a magnesium center and titanium lug nuts. Wrapped around these are Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires in sizes 285/35R19 PS2 for the front and 345/30R20 PS2 for the rear.

TO ALL SUGGESTIONS FORUM

Yes! The 300th SLG suggestion deserves to be a 2.500 HP car!

Thank You StarLight who suggested this my proposal!

2500 horsepower? Holy crap. That's a lot. I already liked the MT900, but 2500 horsepower and a top speed of over 300 miles per hour is crazy, even if it wasn't road legal.

What I always loved the most about this car was just how amusingly naive the performance claims were if held to any scrutiny whatsoever. 2 seconds to brake from 150 mph? 100 pounds lighter than the original MT900 Photon (already the stripped out track version of the MT900 and the only model to meet the original weight goals for the car) after adding an AWD system, active suspension, a second fuel tank, a 7.1 DVD navigation system, a Windows PC, and the hardware to have the car act as a mobile 3G hotspot?

Even more impressive is that they had recorded all of these specs on a car whose only modifications by the time they announced it had been putting new brakes on it and removing the stock steering wheel.

AWD? Didn't notice that until now. Neither did I notice that it has an 8 speed transmission. I guess all wheel drive isn't a bad idea when you're trying to efficiently transfer 2500 horsepower to the road. Neither is an 8 speed transmission, because then you could gear it shorter than a 6 speed.

It would be competition for the Pagani Huayra, Alfa Romeo TZ3 and the GT-R Nismo on Route X... and by "competition", hated by everyone who doesn't have this and will be banned from many top speed lobbies.

With those specs, it would be more at home against RedBull's :D

I'm pretty sure that this car is nothing but complete "Vaporware", as the technical specifications look like they were typed out by a 12 Year old that played too much of a certain Microsoft-backed racing game, the company's website is off-limits unless you sign-up, provide a Paypal Account and offer up a "Generous Donation" and there hasn't been any kind of news on this car outside of the press release, which is now 7 years old... So, yes to Moslers being in future GT games, no votes from me for this particular one.

It's also pretty extensively different from (and notably more believable than) the car... "announced" in 2009.
