A limited-release “PS3 Starter Pack” was also announced for Japan at the press conference, and will include the Nissan GT-R GT3 featured in the GT6 Anniversary Edition. See the official Japanese site for more details, including pre-ordering information for the region.

^ Again, why do people have that type of mind set when it comes when to next-gen consoles coming out? Like as if all people are ready to move on….

      Since when was white “BADASS”?

If coloured chrome (red, blue or green) was available, THAT would be badass!

      White is too effeminate!

I want this. I’ll need to buy a PS3 for GT6 anyway, so this would make it ultra convenient. Please offer this in the UK.

I’m happy w/ my nationality however, JP is a beautiful country that I would love to visit. I don’t think I’d make a special trip for GT6 and a white PS3.

    2. ScotteDawg

AND, because it’s released a day early in Japan, you could be on a flight and home and playing GT6 with the rest of the world and not miss a thing!

I believe I saw the last two scenes which where with the R18 at Bathurst… Cant think of a pit on the left and stands that look like they do on the right, with the scenery in the back ground…

on an unfortunate not, (it might just be my sound card) it seems like the butchered the R18’s diesel engine, with a V6 found in a 350z

    1. sayba2th

+ 2 that definitely ain’t Mt. Panorama I should know as I have driven the track when I visited Bathurst 15 odd years ago

    2. Swagger897

my bad, my bad, I live on the other side of the world right side up… it appeared like It was. I have never seen or been on the track in any of the GT series at Apricot Hill.. but still, the sounds have too high of an RPM for a diesel to put out…

    3. sayba2th

all good cuz, I can see why you may have thought so. However it depends on which way you see right side up hahahahaha

I’m really upset that the Japanese get a copy of the Beyond the Apex II book & we are stuck with an app. Not all of us here in America have an iPhone or any type of Smartphone. I’m stuck with a cheap AT&T pay as you go phone. Really hope they offer us an option to get the book or the app.

In other news, where is this new trailer? I would love to see more of the Lancia Stratos in action.

I learned about Japanese consumerism not long ago, a lot of people prefer traditional merchandise instead of electronic alternatives. So it is normal to see that for Japan, but I know how it must feel for you.

  4. hairystig

Hmmm realising this bundle a day before the release of the game is a bit cheeky but if they did the same here in the UK I’d be at the front of the que :)

  5. GT5 Level 41

Book is game case size. I was hoping for coffee table or at least regular guide book size. I bought the GT5 spiral bound guide and it was not very helpful. Pages were too small to get all the info about a topic in one place. I was constantly flipping pages.

  6. OmarBaez53

I thought it was weird that Toyota wasn’t one of the Vision Gran Turismo participants, nice to see that it is indeed in.

  7. Efiv12

Will the North American market be offered this “starter pack”? If no, then I do not see the need to rub our noses in all the extras we won’t be privileged to own. Nevermind the fact that the U.S. dollar backs all the Japanese banking institutions.

    1. Pit Crew

^???^ Who’s rubbing anything in our face? I’m from North America but I don’t feel shortchanged. The part about U.S. money, a joke in itself, was to much.

    2. Quakebass

I was in Canada for three days and I witnessed first-hand the value of U.S. $40 going down by one cent.

Why are we even bringing economics and politics into this…? It’s a Japanese game on a Japanese console, is it THAT odd that a game would be a released a day earlier in it’s home region…? And exchange rates are odd. All the time I see the AUS end EURO market being ripped off in comparison to the USD market…

    3. sayba2th

Offended consumers? I highly think not, disappointed maybe. What extras are you talking about? I can read nothing there other than getting the game a day early that is ahead of what we will have access to. Don’t be such a twatwaffle no one gives a flying Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo about the semantics of economics. What we care about is the game. If you wish to discus numbers go join the CA’s forum, there you can add, divide and subtract til your heart’s content. I think the expression most apt here is “a little knowledge is a dangerous thing”

    4. ScotteDawg

As an Australian, I gotta say that I’m not at all offended! Like, whoopdy doo, a white PS3!

Ya wanna know about getting short changed? EB Games in Australia (owned by Gamestop) is offering the same pre-order package as Gamestop, but we pay a little more! Not 5 or 10 dollars more, not 20, but $45 more than North America! But guess what? I’m used to that sort of thing! I’m not phased at all!!

@ sayba2th – really? Bloodhound gang song reference!?

    5. sayba2th

Actually Scotte raises a valuable point. Even when the Aussie Dollar was at $1.10 against the greenback we still have to deal with this BS. I can get games from the UK at crazy low prices on eBay. Yet it’s not just EB that does this and it’s not just with games here in Australia. I bought a 2008 Look 595 carbon bike frame from the US @ $2700 plus $400 import duty plus postage and all the total was $3100. That same frame was retailing out here for $6000. Completely irrelevant and as I said GTP is not an economics forum. To answer your question Scotte that was not BHG I was channeling as I work with the phonetic alphabet for my job it was a polite way of getting my swear in. However I was make aware of this by mate who’s a BHG fan.

    6. sayba2th

Aero it was close outs, the 595 was unchanged from it’s inception in 2007 up til 2012 when it was replaced by the 695 (which is simply stunning) it’s only the paint that got changed each year. It’s exquisite and in person drops a jaw. Also I bought it near 2 and a half years ago. That’s what you pay for a new frame as such be it Colnago, Time, Pinarello ect.

    7. ScotteDawg

      @ sayba2th – I guess you could’ve used Van Halen’s album – For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge…

I used to work with the phonetic alphabet in the SES about 20 years ago! Never forgot it either!!

    8. Rallywagon

Thanks for making Americans look even dumber Efiv12. Forgot about the fact that people from all over the world visit this forum? SMH.
