If the recent talk of newer consoles on the way wasn’t enough to keep you going, the rumor mill is at it again, this time suggesting Sony could be announcing a slimmer PlayStation 4. An announcement that could be made as soon as the Tokyo Games Show in September.

A generation in the gaming industry usually means a leap in the scope and technical ability for a new entry in a given franchise, and courtesy of Motogames’ direct comparison video of GTS and GT6 above, it seems Gran Turismo will be no different.

We first reported on the Aston Martin/Red Bull collaboration back in March, and today, the sheets were pulled back. Dubbed AM-RB 001 – a name likely to be replaced with one starting with V when deliveries start in 2018 – it promises a level of road car performance practically unheard of until now.

As one of the most famous circuits in the world, Mount Panorama has been a daunting challenge to drivers from around the globe since it opened 78 years ago. Unlike modern auto racing complexes, it runs a single layout, with the current 6.2 km (3.8 mi) circuit hosting major events like the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour in February and the Bathurst 1000 in October. That will be changing in the future, with a second layout being added to the East of the existing circuit.

Gran Turismo’s immensely successful GT Academy programme has started to roll out it’s preliminary rounds across Asia as it reaches it’s 8th year in competition. The hunt for new racing drivers start with Sony and Nissan hosting live events across Thailand and the Philippines. The top 20 drivers who set the fastest times will progress to the next round. The car/track combo is the Nissan GT-R 2017 on Tokyo Expressway, PD’s newest street circuit for the series.

The 100th anniversary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb challenge recently finished, with French racing driver Romain Dumas taking the top spot with a time of 8’51.445 behind the wheel of the Norma M20 RD (#30) in the Unlimited class.

Forza Horizon 3 had its big unveiling last month at E3 2016. While the presentation was full of salient details – widebody kits, a custom event creator, the return of the auction house and storefronts, drones in the sky – some unexpected surprises arrived in the various interviews conducted after. Since the Forza series split into Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon, there’s been a recurring theme of speculation among GT fans that Polyphony might do something similar. According to recent comments by Kazunori Yamauchi, however, people hoping for a GT spin-off title by another developer should not get their hopes up:
