Video: SuperGT on GT5’s Nurburgring

Our friend mimaximax continues pumping out videos from his copy of the GT5 demo! His third update includes a batch of clips featuring the Lexus Weds Sport IS350 on the Nurburgring Nordschleife, and it’s looking as good as ever. Enjoy!

Eight More Gran Turismo 5 SuperGT Videos

YouTuber mimaximax, who shared those videos I posted yesterday, has been hard at work. Since that time, he’s uploaded ten more clips which – once again – you pretty much have to see. In addition to more in-car replays, we get to watch the Nissan Motul Autec GT-R, Amemiya Asparadrink RX7, Autobacs ARTA Garaiya, and the Lexus Weds Sport IS350 in action from various different angles. Enjoy, and once again, thanks to mimaximax for all of this!

Five Impressive New GT5 Replay Videos

Thanks to the mysterious mimaximax, we’ve got five new videos that you definitely do not want to miss. Fortunately, he’s focused on cars we haven’t seen very much, including the Petronas TOM’s SC430, ARTA NSX, and the Yellow Hat Supra. You’ll even recognize Sebastian Loeb’s face in an in-car replay. But enough with the text – start watching these videos!

GT5 Demo Driver Animation Videos

As the mysterious GT5 demo has been making waves over the past week, two more interior replay videos have surfaced. Similar to the Subaru Impreza WRC driver and co-driver animations that we saw earlier this month, both show the Toyota FT-86 Concept on Tokyo R246, but from slightly different angles. Thanks to all who sent these in!

GT5 Demo Shows More Dislodged Bumpers

As we’ve known for a while now, Gran Turismo 5 will include two different damage models – one for production cars, another for “race” cars. “Race” cars will show significant deformation and will have detachable hoods and doors, while production cars would show little more than paint scratches.

GT5 Demo Collection is Real, Includes Garage Video

First things first: two independent sources have privately confirmed to me that the GT5 Demo Collection is real, and the original whistle-blower lherre has backed up his announcement with more screenshots. This collection is also providing a closer look at things we only got to peek at during the shows where these demos were originally featured.

Mysterious New GT5 Demo Screenshots Revealed

NeoGaf’s lherre apparently has access to a special GT5 demo, and he’s just shared a few pictures with the rest of the world. From what we can see, this demo is a compilation of sorts – a collection of all the game builds we’ve seen at automotive and gaming shows over the past few months. Of course, there’s a chance these images are nothing more than a hoax – I’ll leave that up for you to decide.

More GT5 Screens at 8 and 18 Megapixels

Yes, you’ve seen some of these screenshots before, but not at these resolutions. I’m a sucker for high-megapixel images, so when when Stefan1904 dug these up at 3840×2160 (8.2MP) and 5760×3240 (18MP), I had to share them with you one more time. The previous images were only at 1920×1080, so there’s significantly more detail to take in. Enjoy!

GT Academy 2010 Finalists in Their First Race

The GT Academy finalists took their first step on the road to the grand prize, when Italy’s Luca Lorenzini and Frenchman Jordan Tresson took to the track at the Snetterton circuit in a pair of identical Nissan 370Z cars. The pair recorded 10th and 11th place finishes respectively in the 750 All Comers event but, more importantly, secured valuable signatures that will assist them in their bid to qualify for an ‘International C’ race licence.

Sony Rep: GT5 Planned for October 2010

According to an Italian gaming site, a Sony representative at last week’s Game Developers Conference informed them the company was looking to release Gran Turismo 5 in October of this year. While GT5 received little attention at the show, Sony’s marketing vice president, Peter Dille, re-affirmed the game would release this year. Of course, October also fits nicely within the “fall” release window mentioned by European Sony executive James Armstrong last month.

Three New 8.2 Megapixel GT5 Night Screenshots

Three high-res screen shots have just been released, which appear to complement the most recent new trailer for the game. I’m particularly impressed by the interior lighting of the car, with all of the SLS AMG’s buttons and knobs lit accordingly. Something else to look for: the “Tentative” street names on the road signs… Thanks to “deep_sky” for picking these up first!

Gran Turismo 5 Will Be Coming in 2010

GT5 received brief mention at Sony’s large press event at the Game Developers Conference 2010 today. While the focus of the show turned out to be Sony’s new motion controller, it was “confirmed” the company’s biggest racer will be released in 2010. Of course, for anyone who’s been paying attention, this isn’t exactly a surprise, but it should calm any lingering fears that remained after the game’s Japanese March date was postponed.

A Quick Lap of Tokyo R246 in a Motul GT-R

This definitely isn’t the first lap we’ve seen of Tokyo R-246, but it is one of the fastest. With the notoriously fast GT Academy 2010 finalist Daniel Holland at the wheel, this clip is considerably more fun to watch than most of the others – and it sounds pretty good, too. Thanks to CoolColJ for digging this up!

HD Video, Screenshots from GT5’s GoW III Trailer

Torgo, who apparently has an early copy of “God of War III” with the new GT5 trailer and some proper video capturing equipment has shared the clip excellent quality. Watch it in HD below, and check out some of these still images which I’ve captured from the clip after the jump…

New Gran Turismo 5 Trailer in GoW III

As many users in our forum suspected, there’s a brand new GT5 trailer included in “God of War III”. Here’s our first look at the new video, which shows a brief look at night racing, damage, and the new Rome circuit. Thanks to hardvibes for sending this in! I’ll post up a better quality version of this clip as soon as it’s available.

GT5 Interior Replay Video with Driver Animations

Here’s a look inside the Subaru Impreza WRC car as it makes its way around Tokyo R246, as seen in one of the GT5 demos used at the recent GT Academy 2010 national finals. Thanks to CoolColJ for digging this up!

New Gran Turismo 5 NASCAR Video

MotorTrend has just published a new video today, which includes new NASCAR video footage – including interior view! It also documents Kazunori Yamauchi’s first-hand experience at the Texas Motor Speedway. Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Luca Lorenzini, Jordan Tresson Win GT Academy 2010

After five intense days of on and off track action, Luca Lorenzini from Mantova in Italy and Jordan Tresson from Villers La Montagne in northern France have been announced as the two winners of the GT Academy 2010. More hard work awaits the victorious pair who will be back at Silverstone next Monday to commence an intensive driver training programme to qualify them for an international C race licence. Only one of the pair will then be given the opportunity race a full season in the European GT4 Cup in a Nissan 370Z GT car.

GT Academy 2010 Finals: Day 4, More Track Time

With the famous Silverstone Circuit bathed in sunshine today (Monday), the GT Academy 2010 action hotted up once more. The final four Gran Turismo® racers in the competition had an incredible day of on-and-off track action. Jordan Tresson from France, Marco Calvo from Spain, Luca Lorenzini from Italy and Daniel Collins from Ireland were pitted directly against each other in a series of challenges designed to unearth the racing driver with the most potential to succeed in the European GT4 Cup race series.
