The title says it all: after it was suggested yesterday that Pikes Peak had become a Polyphony Digital exclusive, confirmation has arrived, although not from PD itself.

Pikes Peak has had a bit of a checkered history with the Gran Turismo franchise. The 12-mile hill climb made its first (and only) appearance—in a condensed form—in Gran Turismo 2 and since then has remained absent from the series. In what seems to becoming a common occurrence though, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb continues to threaten a return to the franchise thanks to an article by media outlet Eurogamer and a peculiar choice of words within.

Cadillac, not seen in the Prototype motorsport sector since its disastrous Northstar LMP attempt, came back in an almighty fashion in the 2017 Rolex Daytona 24 Hour, with a largely unchallenged one-two finish after taking up the first two spots on the starting grid.

We’ll call this a surprising start to the week: Youtube user Vortlas SimRacing has uploaded a never-before-seen unofficial trailer for Slightly Mad Studios’ Project CARS 2. 4K gaming is already on the rise thanks to the PlayStation 4 Pro having an early start. Released last year in November, the higher-spec Sony console already has a number of titles taking advantage of the additional headroom, and is further enhanced when VR is factored into the equation.
