A special competition is going to be held for Gran Turismo 5 players in Japan, as part of the larger “Red Bull 5G” gaming championship. The GT5 element kicks off with a Seasonal Event in the game on October 2, using a modified version of the Red Bull X2010.
AUTOart, the scale model company known for its detailed replicas, will be producing a 1:18 scale version of Gran Turismo 5’s Red Bull X2010, as announced by Polyphony Digital.

For the past 8 weeks, special Seasonal Events have been held in Gran Turismo 5 for those who participated in GT Academy 2012 and won the in-game prizes offered by the competition.
The latest Seasonal Events are now available in Gran Turismo 5, featuring Lamborghini’s supercars in five A-Spec races. Cars are limited to a maximum of 550PP and Sports/Soft tires.
Last weekend was a busy one for Gran Turismo stars on real-world race tracks; in addition to Wolfgang Reip taking victory in the European GT Academy 2012, previous winners Lucas Ordoñez, Jordan Tresson, Bryan Heitkotter, and GT series creator Kazunori Yamauchi were also competing.
