Forza Horizon 3

Playground Games has just announced the second Forza Horizon 3 expansion — focusing on the beloved Hot Wheels brand — and it looks absolutely bonkers.

Just in case you weren’t aware, April has basically become the month of Porsche, at least in the Forza world. To continue with the theme, another Forzathon has landed on Forza Horizon 3, bringing along a supercar that first started production three decades ago, but still manages to impress.

Today is the big day for many Forza Horizon 3 racers around the globe looking to get their hands on one of the many pieces of Stuttgart’s finest up for grabs. In a special one-day only Forzathon, players can earn the much sought-after 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder.

The beloved Stuttgart-based automaker continues to make rounds this week all over the racing game world. Porsche has decided to introduce itself in Gran Turismo Sport, while being reintroduced to the Forza series via a Forza Horizon 3 car pack and as a sponsor for Season 3 of ForzaRC. To make things even better, a couple of Porsches will be up for grabs in this month’s Forzathon events.

It’s official: Porsche has returned to the Forza series, and unlike before there are no crippling agreements in play. Turn 10 and Porsche have announced an “in-depth six-year partnership” that will include the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon series of games moving forward.

Whoops. After a leak back in January gave away a lot of the upcoming content for Forza Horizon 3, another hole has given us a look at upcoming content. The next car pack is set to be Porsche-themed, with a few surprises mixed in for good measure.

Even though spring in the land down under technically takes place during the months of September, October, and November, it’s springtime in the digital world of Forza Horizon 3. And with that, comes the newest assortment of Forzathon challenges all bundled under the title of “Spring Is In The Air.”

Today is the first Tuesday of the month. For Forza players, that typically means a new car pack. The bad news is that you shouldn’t hold your breath for one. The good news: something else is in store for the month of April.

One more Forzathon titled “Fooling Around” has made its way into Forza Horizon 3 to conclude the transition from March to April, while also rewarding players with a car that last made an appearance in the original Forza Horizon.

For Forza Horizon 3 players who missed out on the snowy fun that came with the game’s first expansion back in December of last year or a few exclusive cars along with additional in-game benefits: the time has come, as both Blizzard Mountain and the VIP membership are 50% off their regular price for Xbox Live Gold users.

Another weekend, another Forzathon, another vehicle for players to obtain, as Forza Horizon 3 has received the latest batch of Forzathon events. The challenges this time are themed around Japanese cars and features the appropriate name of “Spring Festival.”

The latest Forzathon events have gone live in Forza Horizon 3. In keeping with the spirit of the holiday, the challenge is titled “A Shamrockin’ Good Time”, but the big prize is something distinctly un-Irish.

A livery editor is a fantastic addition to a racing game. It allows players to make their rides visually unique, which is undoubtedly important as the genre focuses increasingly on online racing. We’re visual creatures, after all.

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) has announced the winners of the prestigious 20th D.I.C.E. Awards. A total of 24 awards were granted to various titles that formed the gaming landscape last year, one of which went to the widely-acclaimed Forza Horizon 3.

It’s time for Forza Horizon 3 players to prepare for another set of Forzathon events, which will be scattered through the entire month of March. This month’s events have been posted on the Forza Motorsport Twitter channel, showing new and familiar faces alike will be making their debut in the Horizon series, free of charge.
