Gran Turismo Sport has received the title of “Best Audio Design” from the 2018 TIGA Games Industry Awards panel. It wasn’t up against the usual collection of racing games, however: this was across all genres.

While most of the attention of Gran Turismo fans was focused on the FIA-certified GT Championship World Finals in Monaco last week, something interesting was quietly being shown off on the other side of the world at “InterBEE 2018” in Tokyo.

Gran Turismo’s takeover of Monaco is over and the dust has settled on the 2018 FIA-Certified Gran Turismo Online Championship. After three days of action, Polyphony Digital has crowned the Nations Cup and Manufacturer Series champions.

At the FIA-certified Gran Turismo Championship World Finals last week, Polyphony Digital showed off a new track and several new cars at the event in Monaco. Now, we know exactly when all that new content is going to be available to the public: December 5.

In case you missed it, the recent GT Sport FIA-Certified Online Championship World Final saw a game debut for a new track.

After all the confetti had dropped at the FIA-certified GT Championship Nations Cup World Final on Sunday night, we had a chance to speak with all the podium finishers about their races and their time in Monaco.

After months of comeptition, GT Sport’s flagship FIA-Certified online series came down to four races.

It’s all been building to this. After Friday’s semi-finals and repechage races, and Saturday’s hugely entertaining Manufacturer Series final, the top 16 GT Sport drivers are racing for the title of Nations Cup champion.

Hopefully you watched the FIA-certified GT Championship’s Manufacturer Series live stream yesterday: it was a real treat, with the podium decided in the final seconds of a one-hour race around the Nurburgring 24h circuit.

We expected a close race in today’s Manufacturer Series final for the GT Sport FIA Championship in Monaco. But we didn’t foresee the nail-biter that came to pass in one of the wildest live esport events yet.

We’re back again live from Monaco to watch day two of the GT Sport World Final. With the first elimination rounds of the Nations Cup under their belts, the drivers now look to a different championship: the Manufacturer Series.

Today is day two of the first GT Sport World Final. We’ve seen the Nations Cup already, where 30 initial drivers has become 16 ahead of Sunday’s finals. But before that, it’s time for something a little different: the Manufacturer Series.

Five-time F1 world champion, and Gran Turismo “Maestro” Lewis Hamilton welcomed the 30 drivers to the stage, but with all the preparations done and dusted it was time to get down to action in Monaco on Friday.

Back in 2013, GT Academy was in full swing, and a promising young driver from the UK by the name of Adam Suswillo made it all the way to the final race of the competition. Despite an impressive performance, Suswillo came up just short of the crown, as the judges selected Portugal’s Miguel Faisca as that year’s European GT Academy champion.

We’re only a day away from the FIA-certified Gran Turismo Championship World Finals beginning, and the predictions are rolling in.
