After the light-hearted action of yesterday’s Pro-Am Race, it’s time to get down to serious business at the New York World Tour event.

Polyphony Digital has used this weekend’s NYC event to announce the final leg of the Gran Turismo FIA-Certified Championship. Once again, the esport series will head to Monaco to wrap up the season.

Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed in a presentation in New York that the new brand partner for the GT Sport FIA-Certified Online Championships is Michelin.

The action at the GT Sport World Tour New York event is nearly upon us. This coming weekend, 36 drivers working in teams will race for their chosen brands in the Manufacturer Series. Then on Sunday, 23 drivers will battle it out for an automatic place in November’s World Final alongside Nico Rubilar and Igor Fraga.

It’s one of the world’s most famous, most challenging race tracks. Unsurprisingly, it’s also one of the most in-demand tracks among fans of GT Sport. An impasse over licensing seemed to have dashed our hopes of ever seeing it in the game, but it now seems that it’s on the way — and a lot sooner than we’d thought.

While we’ve been aware of GT Sport’s next content update for a little while, the exact contents have remained a bit more of a mystery. In the last couple of days, the fog has lifted slightly, with Kazunori Yamauchi’s traditional teaser post revealing that five cars are on the way (even if no-one can work out what one of them is).

We are quickly approaching the next Gran Turismo FIA GT Championship World Tour event, happening this weekend in New York City.

With just a handful of days to go until the next round of the GT Sport FIA Certified Online Championships World Tour, series producer Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed the next content update is on its way.

As we reach the halfway point of the 2019 FIA Gran Turismo Championship World Tour, it’s time to take a closer look at the top drivers.

It’s one of the great pre-war classic cars and, thanks to recognition in California, it may be immortalized in a future version of Gran Turismo. This year’s Gran Turismo Trophy winner at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is the 1931 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Corto Spider Zagato.

There’s a familiar feel to this week’s Daily Races, with some new traditions and something a little older.

For the first time since the FIA GT Championship EMEA Regional Finals in Madrid last year — which I personally declared the “best Gran Turismo event, ever” — Polyphony Digital is extending an open invitation for the public to attend its next major Gran Turismo competition.

The Gran Turismo World Tour heads to the PlayStation Theater in New York City next week, and we are starting to learn more about what to expect from the event.

The new GT Sport Time Trial mode has its second set of events right on cue this week.

Tradition returns to the Daily Races selection this week, with some very familiar formats — even if all three races feature add-on content.

If you’re anything like us, you’re still getting stuck into GT Sport’s latest content update. The old favorite Mazda Roadster Touring Car is making an appearance in the Daily Races, alongside the Porsche 930 Turbo which also shows up with the Civic EK Type R in the new Time Trial mode.

Just as it doesn’t take long for crafty gamers to find exploits, it doesn’t take Polyphony Digital long to slam the door shut again.

It’s always been the case that a major part of any game is gaming the game itself. There’s always the odd player who will probe and test the game’s limits to work out exactly what it will and won’t allow at any given time, then exploit any unintentional gaps in the rules. Or, to put it a more succinct way, cheat.

There’s always some stuff to pick through with a new GT Sport game update. It might be interesting or rare new cars, new tracks to learn, new Scapes locations for the shutterbugs among us, or something else entirely.
