Do you guys all enjoy this new witch-hunt season?

Yeah, this is all more than a little bit unsavoury. If anyone thinks somebody has broken Race Department's rules, then report it there if you really want to play policeman. It's got nothing to do with GTP.
Regardless - what crime against humanity has Luis actually committed to warrant this type of reaction in the first place? Replying abrasively (in a foreign language) to comments he disagrees with about a track he worked on and released for free?
So bloody what? There's no law about having to be nice all the time. Half of us would be in prison if that was the case.
Maybe if you're easily offended then message an RD moderator about it, or reply in the track's discussion tab on RD. Not sure why he has to be hauled over the coals here about something so trivial. It's strayed well into bullying and character assassination.
And it'd be worth triple checking facts before throwing accusations around about asset theft. As a professional track developer, there's a chance Luis actually created those assets himself in the first place. But even so, we all know the vast grey expanse that sim racing copyright arguments dwell in.
If those easily-offended pitchfork-wavers need a focus for their vitriol, then I'd suggest far more deserving candidates like those that directly copy other people's free mods, encrypt them, them stick them behind paywalls. Not somebody whose personality you happen to disagree with.

I always install manually. 2010 / 2011 / 2012 cars I don´t have these textures.

@MasterFocus you are on CSP 2.8p1? There were some former versions where somehow this issue did not happen. Ilya changed / tweaked alot in the background reg. preview generation.

1 His enormous ego that allows him to lash at people without justification, coming from your average end user, I find it not normal at all to treat anyone who submit a legit feature request with that level of animosity. You guys might not care about how people treat, but it takes 0 effort to be nice toward people that didn't mean harm or asked anything in bad faith.

2 And the most important point for me, more than 1 and the reason I decided to actually makes his track removed, is that he uses Ferrari Virtual Academy assets and put his copyright on it. If it was anything else i wouldn't have cared, but Ferrari Virtual Academy holds a big place in my heart, I did a big work of preservations to gather lost exe of FVA to collect them and put them on archive.org so that it would never lost. I'm doing a big work as my last project which is recreating FVA on Assetto Corsa, I've also reached people underground to find a way to use FVA back when the servers are dead. And this guy with his ego lash out on people saying "you should be a track modder before talking to me, I did everything" piss me off the most when he reuse FVA in the background. Never in my mods I decided to put a copyright. Never have I forbid people from using assets of my mods when I use assets elsewhere.

As for the bullying, forcing a resource to be removed is now bullying? I never asked anyone to harass the guy personally, just to report the resource. I find it funny that for you, the way he treats people because his track is perfect (when it's based on stolen assets) doesn't warrant any counter reaction.

I find it highly doubious as Kunos in 2010 was a team of 10 people, and during FVA interviews they said that it was an in house development, with Ferrari (and kunos was full Italian at that time iirc). So they didn't mention outsourcing anything to a freelancer. And the second point is that in the thread he talks about how he did this track first in 2017, and that he didn't use LIDAR or scan for the track. Just photo reference. Which if he worked for kunos at the time and produced that assets, he should have had a look at the scan data to know how fiorano looks like. He did specify that he didn't have much reference about fiorano. So that's what made me sure he didn't work for kunos at the time as kunos was at fiorano and took extended scan including the garage to recreate.
During 2009-2021 he was working with slightly mad studio, Shift in 2009 and test drive Ferrari legends in 2012. I find it hard to believe that he was also working with kunos behind the scenes.

In the case he worked on FVA, he doesn't actually holds any rights, as when you work for a company, be it software or 3D, when you produce an asset for the company, it's the company property so you cannot apply any copyright for it and you aren't allowed to reuse it outside as it is still the property of kunos and ferrari. So it's still outside of RD rules. But if it's still the case I will apologize.

Also the dude was online on race department. When I left a review it disappeared the next day along another review I mentioned here where he answered the guy who asked for more pitbox. And he was seen online after I left the evidence in the thread. I'm pretty sure he is aware of the accusation I sent, but decided not to reply for some reasons (which is out of character for him)

I commented on his Portimao tracks (of which there are 2 for some reason) that they had track limits only in the gravel/far away from the real track limits and asked whether he could fix them, he first told me to provide photos, I showed him, then never got any reply or fix. I just find that quite sad, because I don't know how to fix track limits and it makes the track unusable for me if I can just go miles off track but not get a penalty or deleted lap time

Character assassination ? Oh come on. He's acting like he's hot stuff yet cannot handle constructive criticism of his work ? I'd say he's showing his real character, guess his wee pride was hurt by some comments and guys trying to be helpful. While I generally agree with everything you said, I think the old adage that 'you reap what you sow' somewhat applies in this instance. If he is allowed to rip people for their opinions (i.e. reviews), then I got no problem when people throw it back at him. Maybe he didn't commit a crime against humanity, but it is a matter of human decency. If you want treated with respect, then you better respect the other person and he has proven time and time again that he doesn't.

Then he needs to do the same. The reviewers he attacked criticized his work, not his person. He came back with personal attacks. So who is the one guilty of criticizing someone's person? I once tried contacting him to talk about his non existing track limits on Portimão being due to a surface.ini completely empty and he insisted that it was the ai sidelines that managed the track limits...
