Man look, ofc you would say that if you didn't see what he wrote. So i'm going to bring an example

The guy just asked kindly if he could add more pitbox. Instead of talking about the point, he makes personal attacks toward the guy, not just to say that he isn't a modder so he doesn't know best, but just to humiliate the guy in place, and tell him to bow down.

Again are you sure you want to defend this kind of person? Do askin a feature warrant the 7 line trashtalk about the guy personally?

If this doesn't fit your definition of "ad hominem" then I don't understand how you can call what we did (which is strictly speaking, talking about flaws of his work and how his eflated ego makes him talk to people like they're peasants) "ad hominem" when we are tackling the core issue.

Again, who is the bully?

This is not a matter of "popular opinion". Human decency isn't an opinion.
I once tried contacting him to talk about his non existing track limits on Portimão being due to a surface.ini completely empty and he insisted that it was the ai sidelines that managed the track limits...

Moved AC using Steam from my 500GB int NVME to ext 1TB NVME, while updating to Win11. During that process ~370GB (compressed with CM) content folder expanded to 700+GB. How do I put the genie back in the bottle? If compress again with CM, Steam will uncompress with the move back to the 500GB and won't fit?

Of course yes. The compression is not a "physical change of the size", but a local compression. By moving the same file from a disk to another, the compression will be removed. The only way you have is to move blocks of the files, compress them (maybe use an external tool like CompactGUI instead CM ones) and then repeat for all the remain "chunks" until you moved all the files back in place.

I love the fact that modders are unemployed, and when they get a job it's the end of the world.

I shall tell macron not to work too hard to reduce unemployement, we still need people in the moddin community.

"Is reading THAT hard ?"
Oh they read correctly, not just with the same words, something along the line of "Hey my car is free meaning I have no money to hire an attorney to sue ur *ss if you decide to pick elements of my car that I did not encrypt for you to easily unpack"

Ofc they would refuse the collab, why should they 50-50 the credit section and make the car free when you can just put it in patreon.

People abuse the good nature of mods and pick on individuals mostly because they know they don't risk much.

It feels like encrypting is a necessity now, although i'm not a fan of this option at all (which i why i don't use it on the 2008 mod), I still understand why people would use it today
I followed the link given https://www.patreon.com/posts/datsun-2000-1968-123952847 and downloaded the mod. Opening the mod I found that the original credits on the ui remain unchanged. On the patron page it is noted that the model is Revamped from an Overtake/RaceDepartment Model. I don't know the people at Australian Big Bangers beyond exchanging a few texts and doing the data for some of their Group E mods (basically pre 1971 showroom stock). But they have spent thousands of dollars bringing hundreds of cars to assetto corsa for free. Download the mod give it a go and let me know what you think of the physics. They are modified from the original but mostly mine.

Question:
Suspension ini
VERSION=4

TORQUE_REACTION=-0.3
ATTACH_REL_POS=0.75
LEAF_SPRING_LAT_K=200000

Anyone know how to use the TORQUE_REACTION=-0.3
I'm guessing the negative means Anticlockwise but is that along the longitudinal or transverse axis and is the direction looking from the front or back, left or right

Torque reaction is everywhere IRL, and I don't know how it's implemented in AC, but...
A good learning strategy might be to make it un-realistically large and see what it does.
Outside F5 cam and give it some gas from rest. Body twist = longditudinal, rear axle hop= circular around axle axis?
Maybe figure it out that way?

The patreon post got set to public access instead of paid access only after I sent them a message urging them to make it available for free. The main problem we had with it was that they turned it into a paywalled mod. Earning money off of the back of other modders (who do this stuff in their free time and release content for free no less!) is in my opinion completely unacceptable.

I can't answer for them, could be just getting used to Patron, I don't know. What about the Mod have you tried it?

In fact I think we are all lucky here to have a perico lospa in our lives. GTPlanet Admin, can we have a statue of him on the forum homepage? Thanks 😂

Thanks for your kind words, but a marble plaque with gold lettering in Eau Rouge would suffice. Or even a tacky graffiti with spelling mistakes on any guardrail at the Nurburgring... 😙

Nice work Mascot, shin956, Nukedrop, mteam. You really brought this back to life. Thanks!

P.S. Sorry mods. I didn't expect I would inadvertently end up with two posts in a row.
Has anyone go a working link for this track? I'm getting an Secure Connection Failed error right at the end of the download.

EDIT: Its okay, found a working link

Hi guys,

I am looking for a Ferrari 375 Plus. The car took part in the WSC from 1954. I couldn't find one for Assetto Corsa, but while researching the internet I came across a really nice one which was made for GTL: https://www.bsimracing.com/gtl-ferrari-375-plus-v1-0-released-lm-55-mod-by-don-panoz/
I was wondering if somebody maybe did a conversion of this beauty.

Please let me know if you know about a good version for AC.

Thanx
Daniel

Maybe someone has a patch for the Cizeta Moroder V16T that fixes engine, collider, etc.? I found it by searching, but the link is long dead.

Anybody know what causes this dark patch on 1 door?, other side is all good.

I've seen this before where the shaders for the doors are different from the rest of the body. Assuming its not encrypted this should be fixable by editing the shader values in the cm showroom. Just compare and duplicate the values for the rest of the body to the doors and you should have them looking the same.

Thanks for the reply thats a good idea i didn't think of that however i have just checked and they are both the same values under the same material name.
