I just had a thought, but how is Yas Marina gonna fit on the World Circuits map :ill:
Flick back a couple of pages for a longer discussion:

It's also something I noted in our article.

Quick question for dataminers? Were some of the 4 (or 8 :D) cars were found in the database?

If I had to point out something I wish it was better thought for Spec III in terms of car selection, that would be the choice made for the new generic F1 car.

Did I dislike it? Of course not, but considering we already have the F3500-A, this new choice seems too similar to it. As far as people can tell, this new car is based on 1993-1994 chassis, while the F3500-A is something around 1991-1992.
F3500A has a V12 engine despite looking more like the 91/92 Williams, it may be possible that the new Formula car will have a V10 engine despite appear being based in a V8 Benetton.

Regards the F1 cars, is this a hint they're porting over the NTSC Formula Cars wholesale from GT3?

Didn't they feature what we have now as the F1500, MP4/4, F3500 and this new model, as well as a couple of others?

That's what I figured. I remember an F90 and F94 and Formula Edit: Gran Turismo(?). Plus, there are a few that look like the F1500.

Only ones left would be these two

And I would say this, but I'm conflicted on whether its basically a car already in but with a different nose:

Can we please start a new type of car?
At least some sort of wagon or something else
So we don’t get stuck on other standard types of cars

Sedans would be okay, they are seriously lacking. No hope for wagons these days

takes a drink

[for anyone confused, I have an imaginary drinking game where i take a drink every time @Famine says directly or in a roundabout way to read an article he has written. Unsurprisingly this means I am a virtual alcoholic  ]

We have plenty of four door sedans. What’s lacking are full on FR and FF road car sedans.

In Spec II we got the 190 E. The 500 E from the datamine is a possibility and the M5. Along with the 2010 Impreza, those would complete the sedans from the datamine.

The ELANTRA N is a step forward for FF four door sedans, which puts it in a class of two with the Citroën DS21. With not many similar type sedans on the market today, other than Accord Type R and Euro R versions, I don’t know what PD would choose, if they were to add another FF four door sedan.

You know that 296 evo gt3 is externally just having more vents thats it -it's not that big change imho

also i doubt thats the reason they adding it now

The reason they are addinh it now is that PD is actually listening it just takes very long before we are seeing any reaction to that.

People wanted modern GT3 cars for a lomg time nie, and Ferrari was one of the most requested since 458 is extremely outdated now.

Its nit coincidence that they went with 296 GT3…

They’re not listening… I can assure you of that. There’s too much to listen to. PD do what PD want to do regardless of internet nobodies

I hope the new Formula car finally knocks the X2019 Competition out of the running for the GTWS finals, mate, when they unveiled the F3500-A the GTWS guys had a killer race at Monza, beautiful to watch with the Nations liveries harking back to the Formula 1 teams of those years and definitely more fun to drive than the X2019 Competition for drivers and immersive for the spectators.

I also bet that among the aesthetic changes there will be the possibility of replacing the nose making it similar to what was originally the nose of the Ferrari F310, being inspired by the single-seaters of the mid-90s, among my aesthetic favorites, it will be a lot of fun to use it together with the F3500-A in custom races with the fantastic liveries of the community, in short, Gran Turismo with this content manages to involve me more than F1 25.

Getting more race cars with an update is all well and good. But what good does that do us if there are races to use them in?
I've only driven a fraction of the race cars included in GT7 because there are too few races, and I find it too tedious to constantly adjust them to the PP (which often changes for different cars).
This PP nonsense needs to be abolished and replaced with a new mechanic.
Here are two suggestions from me.

- After the player has won the same race 5 times, the PP requirements, as well as the conditions regarding the car type (race car, professionally tuned, and standard), and the country the car must come from, are removed. <- finally being able to use almost any car in every race, YEAH

- The PP requirement is removed from the start but is displayed, and the lower I get my car under the requirement, the higher the CR. Bonus (e.g. 700 PP race and car = money + 50% bonus / 700 PP race, 650 PP car = money + 100 bonus / 700 PP race, 600 PP car = money + 150% bonus) and of course the removal of the type (race car, professionally tuned and normal) <- wasn't that introduced precisely for the purpose of being able to race against race cars with normal cars in GT?
Of course, this also has a negative effect, e.g. 700 PP race, 800 PP car = only 90% money without bonus

The current design is simply too rigid and offers too little flexibility in the use of the available cars.

Not a good idea

That's a good idea (similar to what is done in custom race to calculate payouts, although they are extremely low).

If ideas are criticized here, please provide reasons.
Otherwise, healthy discussions cannot arise.😉
What would be your idea to change the PP?

If you can use what you want you may use to easy cars and loose a good part of the fun, willingly or not. I think many limitations on the events are a key factor for their enjoyment. Not all events are created equals, but if you remove all constraints, the carreer mode will be even blander. And I am not sure everyone is able to dial the good setup to make the most of an event, if you are free to choose whatever to partake.

If PD actually get the hint and add some meaningful content for the 90s F1 duo, then fair enough, I'll give it to them. If it ends up being another car that gets one Sport event and two weeklies before fading into obscurity, I can't help but feel like it's a waste of an addition. The Mine's R34 is already a curious pick when we're only a few months out from the Z-tune.
The Mines was a much more comprehensively tuned car over the heavy Z-tune. The Mines was more than 4 seconds quicker around Tsukuba for example. A 57 second lap time is almost full on time attack spec quick. The Z-tunes real life time is broadly similar to the fn2 Spoons Civic.

I can get a Citroen BX on sport mediums around Tsubuka faster than that bloated pig Nismo.

Okay, I understand.
That's why you should have to drive each race 5 times normally first.
Besides, the fun of the game doesn't come from specifications, but from self-imposed goals.

For example, I have enough money in GT7 to tune any car in my garage. However, I only buy sports tires for each car initially, and I earn the money for all other tuning parts with the car I'm tuning.
For example, I've been having fun in GT since GT1 and have therefore favored almost every car.

P.S. I thought the Tokyo 600 PP race with the Tomahawk was simply brilliant, especially since the money was right after the race.
Racing with the car reminded me of GT3, when you could drive almost every race with the F1 car. Those were the days 🤩

Do you think we will get more details soon or PD is going to wait for the finals in Japan to disclose all the information about spec III??
My guess is we may get more info of Spec III in November, when round 3 of the GTWS starts in Los Angeles.

I doubt we will get any info earlier than that, and we will likely only get the full details in the GTWS finals in Japan.

Not according to this site. ;) Only 10 members voted. It’s buried deep in the list. 200 pages deep.
