Road Atlanta is really the only one that has a viable short layout that they didn't add.
Is the short layout even viable anymore? Look at it on the google satellite view here: the short track cut through after the esses does not look like it has been maintained. I know I wouldn't drive my S3 at any considerable speed on that road...

They have been though? Watkins Glen has a short layout, Grand Valley has a short layout, Lake Louise has multiple variants. Road Atlanta is really the only one that has a viable short layout that they didn't add.
The Road Atlanta short layout has been camping area since around 2013 and probably isn't worth scanning

Thinking about the big car updates. I really can’t call the remaining four cars. I’m digging the secrecy. :)

If they add that upcoming Toyota Nascar car that would be such a power move from PD and Toyota lol - that would explain those new Toyota banners :D

Or maybe those GR banners are for the "LFA successor"? If that thing gets revealed at the end of this month or early November, in the Japan Mobility Show, I wouldn't be at all surprised if that car were to arrive in a not-too-distant update...
Or maybe since welll probably never see the Ti k ford XR8 again, we’ll see our first “Aussie” car in GT7. ;)

They're very different scenarios. Sure, one of them uses some of the short track, but the Eiger trails were very big courses. Definitely way more work than making sure you scan one or two extra connecting roads while scanning Yas Marina.
I was referring to the real life circuits, more than the classic tracks (because that is what we are getting in December). Using your own logic, the Watkins Glen short layout hardly needed any extra work to implement, as it just cuts off part of the long track and adds a single straight section of road. The classic tracks tend to be less money to create extra layouts due to the lack of scanning/photos/gps coding. Which is why I doubt we are going to see extra layouts for these upcoming real life circuits. It's not just "making sure you scan one or two extra connecting roads while scanning Yas Marina". That is an extreme oversimplification. The amount of time and effort it takes them to photograph/scan each section of a track is quite a lot (and expensive).

I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree. I just don't see ANY evidence that suggests we will get other layouts for these. Simple as. Don't get me wrong. I'd love to have them. I just don't see it happening.

Again, I hope I'm wrong.

If we do, they’ll probably be later. Same as we got with Catalunya, Spa-Francorchamps and Nürburgring layouts being added afterwards. We’re(well maybe just I’m) fortunate to get two flavors of Autopolis, Brands Hatch, Fuji, RBR and Monza.
I wouldn’t rule out multiple layouts of Yas Marina. Especially if Abu Dhabi are happy to have Yas Marina in the game(with the way Kaz mentioned full support from the Abu Dhabi government).

And all the youtube searching I have done seems to JUST give me iRacing clips. No track day clips show it used and Even the classic NASCAR Busch Grand National race I found from 1986 shows the track with NO short course (Though its also Pre-Chicane too).

Sorry @Gerarghini, but looks like that shorter course just isn't used by...anyone (Outside of iRacing or Forza Motorsport anyway)

I think it's far more likely we get layouts later on, if any. That way PD can pad the track list with layouts instead of new complete tracks in future updates. Just like they did with Nurburgring, Catalunya, etc... I just don't see them coming to the game in the next update WITH the GP tracks.

The "variants" of Road Atlanta aren't all that different than the full layout. The variants at Yas Marina are quite a bit more different from each other.
What variants of Road Atlanta? We only have the one....

Technically, there's also the Bike layout which bypasses some of the esses and uses the old and much slower final corner the cars used to use (Along with the old pit lane near the tower) before the current fast sweeping one.

Have we got a bike variant of real circuits in prior games?? I can remember tbh🤔

Also I am curious to see of the first paet of the intro (The nee wirh Nocturn) will have changes, considering that a good portion of it is Michelin related

I agree. That would be crazy & cool to get all those Yas Marina layouts. However, The Glen was probably the newest real world circuit we got with multiple layouts. We’ll see.

Thanks to my Mazda notifications. Here’s a look at the CX-60 in action.

The CX-60 Rally Concept was revealed just over nine months ago. I’m sure we’ve had back to back Mazdas in updates before.

Tsukuba is the only one I can think of for GT. Valencia in GTPSP.

To my knowledge, I don't believe so. Even in Tourist Trophy, I don't believe there has even been the bike layout for Sonoma let alone any other track.

Thinking about the possibility of the 2024 GT500 trio being 3 of the 4 remaining cars:

One side of my brain tells me they will certainly be added together, as it would keep the tradition of adding the complete trio from the respective era (JGTC/2008/2016).

The other side of my brain tells me they will certainly NOT be added together, as it would "kill" variety in the car selection, and PD loves variety.

Something i was thinking was that 296 GT3 needs to be accompanied by a modern GT3. (Just like i think launching only 1 modern DTM car is weird, just add 1 also modern DTM to go by it, it just feels weird.) It will be off to race with an M6 GT3 and a 296 in the same track. I dont care what model specifically, just one. Yeah sure we got the Nismo, the R8 and the oldie RCF, but i think you guys get my point. Ah! Same case with the GR010, you race it agaisnt 2010s prototypes, it totally kills inmersion.

I want to clarify this isnt a wishlist. i really think any updated car from the same series will just make so much sense, totally improving the gaming experience, not to mention the GT3 list is obviously outdated. Same with classes, racing GT500 with DTM RS5 and a TS010 totally kils the realism (at least for me, but i think this is a sort of common thought). I wish pd could recreate real racing events better with their events. Or even some special championships, for example 24hr of Nurburgring, ig they got the license, but even if they dont, they can make it off-brand, who cares?

Just my two cents

I wonder how they will add the PS3-era "orphan" GT500s (2005 Supra, 2006 Z, HSV-010). Would these be separate or together as well?

(Also the only reason 2000 NSX was separate was because the 1997 Supra and 1999 GT-R were launch cars.)

You also have the 2020 AMG GT3 Evo for now.

One thing we won't be able to do is recreate the FTO Super Tourer because you can't swap drivetrains in this game...

If they add that upcoming Toyota Nascar car that would be such a power move from PD and Toyota lol - that would explain those new Toyota banners :D
Much like the GT500s and SF23, I think that would be package deal with the Chevy and Ford counterparts.

inb4 unannounced Spec III feature.

Upcoming Toyota NASCAR car I'm up to date on NASCAR news and haven't heard a single thing about a new Toyota

Only in Tourist Trophy itself. Suzuka, Infineon and Tsukuba had the period-appropriate chicanes in that game.

But they've never carried over to a car game.

Yeah I somehow doubt it.
I agree, but in GT Tuning, there is still space to add extra features in the Extreme and Ultimate.

Question, were there any datamine indications of engine swapping? I can only remember finding out about the engine swapping after members began receiving Gifts. If drivetrain swap would be a thing, I figure that would have come up in some kind of code discussion.

I wonder polyphony will give us ever the custom horns from GT5 back? Doubt that it be a spec 3 thing but would be cool to have the extra customisation.
