I'm hyped for the 2 new tracks and the F-3500 B. The rest of the update is a nice addition, but the car and tracks are what I want most.

I really hope you guys are right on the money and Spec III will release on December 4th. Can't wait for it!
Yeah, I'm hyped up too about them because we'll be getting new circuit experience challenges worth more credits which can help you get cash quick to buy new cars, even from this year; 2025. If the theory is right, December 4th is next Thursday.

Maybe they will do the silhouettes this weekend so we can what the remaining cars are. That way folks can be disappointed sooner rather than later 🤣. Because somebody will not like one of the 2 last cars and complain about why PD didn't add whatever car they desire instead the car they did add. For example if it is the Panda someone will say "Kaz is out of touch. Why didn't he add the Gordon Murray M1?" Or something to that effect.

At this point, GTP members are living for the moaning and complains more than anything else Kaz will ever deliver.

As we've said previously - in the article, repeatedly in this thread, in the recent GTP Podcast - there's two very solid reasons to think December 4th is the magic date for both:
  • The Polestar Time Trial Challenge cannot begin any later than December 4th. Special TT events usually run for the standard two-week window or more, and in order to get the winner (+1?) to Fukuoka before the World Finals start on December 20 - bearing in mind that the winner is likely going to be European region (or maybe South American; Japan is also possible, making life easier) and requiring a long flight - December 18 is the very latest it can close out in order to give enough time to arrange the travel on both sides. The Polestar arrives in 1.64/Spec III.
  • Power Pack will require 1.64 to function...

... meaning that the availability of the Power Pack is contingent on the availability of 1.64/Spec III, thus 1.64/Spec III cannot arrive any later than December 4th.
There's only one 100% guaranteed method of determining when the update will drop...
@Famine when are you going to be out/away from your computer next week? ;)

Anyone think like me about the 2 cars that hasnt been anounced are the toyota GR GT and the GT3 version of it?
I believe are going to be released at the same Fukuoka finals

Oh, so that's why there's been a bunch of added Toyota Gazoo Racing billboards all over Tokyo Expressway

/s, kinda, but only because PD have their own timeline when it comes to updating/adding GT3 cars so--unless Toyota is paying the big bucks like Mazda did for their GR.4 Atenza--I doubt these are the two missing cars (greedy Toyota doesn't need another GT3 car).

Plus, that showcase is on the fifth and the pack/update is on the fourth.

I don’t think they will be added in spec III but I don’t think it a matter of if they are added is more about the when. Since they haven’t been revealed yet by Toyota I don’t think PD would release them in gt7 yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were added in early 2026

Having a look back at the original GT7 trailer and Spec II trailer. In the original GT7 trailer, we see a couple things. The Grdi Start, which are in the Chili races and a classic race with cars leaving their pit boxes.
I wonder since qualifying is coming to the Power Pack, if we’ll get that type of pre-race leaving from pits animation.

In the Spec II trailer, there’s this clip I’ve referred to numerous times. Three cars snaking through traffic at Tokyo.

Could this finally be an updated SOPHY interaction or maybe finally traffic for a Lobby?

I wouldn't put it passed PD to withhold one or two of the last cars until they release the GR car on the 5th and simultaneously announce that it's available right now in Gran Turismo 7!

And Lancia 037! I think

This is such a cool image as well, better than regular silhouettes

Edit: nvm i'm stupid it's Mine's GT-R, the cloth made the back really look like 037 though

296 road car is awesome, this is probably the best car line-up for any GT7 update, at least for me (well, if we ignore the updates with any Lancer Evos)

Also I really wonder how exactly they make those pics for Kaz's posts, like is this some developer-only in-game feature or do they render those separately? At least before it was just some lighting tricks and "empty space" Scape with extra cars (though they often wouldn't even need more than 3), but here they even have a cloth on cars. Would be a dream if they give us an extended "pro" photomode with extra lighting and all that.

I thought the front left kinda looked a bit like a McLaren Senna

Should one of those cars be the 296 GTB, then that makes it the second update only to have the road car and Gr.3 variant be in the same update.

The first being the BRZes from the first GT7 content update.

They seem to have this cloth simulation in the engine at least as far back as GT 5 Prologue, they whip it out for special occasions

So, the Xiaomi and dat BYD got shafted and we'll have to wait for another update next year instead...
Dammit PD that SU7 Ultra banner at Nordschleife been there at least 6 months of teasing and nothing to show for it.
Perhaps a last-minute change of cars for the update?
If this is about the latest souring of relations between China and Japan, then these two cars might get postponed indefinitely and added in much later than expected.

Both were never announced for spec-3, right? They need a couple of months to create these cars. Would guess somewhen in 2026.

Now I won't say I know what the final two cars are (because frankly, I'm no closer to knowing then anyone else), but I do want you folks to notice a pattern with the Up-to-Date GR.3 cars added post launch for the already existing manufacturers: Every single one of them has a Road car.

  • The Mercedes-AMG GT3 '20 has the Mercedes AMG Black Series its based on that was already in the game at Launch
  • The Nissan GT-R GT3 Nismo '18 has the Nissan GT-R Nismo '17 its based on that was both already in the game from launch AND was added in GT Sport as well
  • The Subaru BRZ GT300 was added alongside its Road car version

And what is one of the cars being added in Spec III? The Ferrari 296 GT3. I know I'm sounding abit silly but looking at what I have laid out, I think you'll see what I'm thinking might be one of the remaining unrevealed cars...
Sticking to mah guns..
