We know that car is coming, but it’s unconfirmed for Spec III. Some people believe that it’ll come later with its own update some are convinced it’s in this one. I’m the former and think the 2 cars left will be something else (I’m praying for more GT legends!)
I don't think it will come so early, we saw the other chinese EV monthes before and it is still not in game.

But there's already a seventh one... isn't it the Yangwang U9 Xtreme?
Nope. That was announced last month as coming to GT7, but with no timeline given. This also applies to the Xiaomi SU7, announced as coming to GT7 back in July but with no timeline, alongside a Xiaomi Vision GT (which I vaguely recall being just "GT" and not "GT7" specifically).

There's several other cars that are being worked on in theory (like, a buuuunch of Pebble Beach cars), and only one we've seen actually as a model being prepared: the first-gen FIAT Panda.

Come on Pebble Beach cars…🙏🏻

Well we have both Enzo and F50

But there should be 550 or 575 to be honest too.

Generaly there is huge lack of 90s Ferraris
Yes, but no modern Ferraris from 20's. 296Gtb, Sf90 F80 or the new 849 Testarossa would be nice. But we may have to wait for GT8 and then these are not so new anymore.
I'm happy to be wrong on this one.

I had a hypothesis that the 2016 winner won't appear in GT7, but instead, it'll appear in GT8 and entirely take the place of the 330 P4 we've had in the series since GT5. I even wrote up an article of sorts on this - I really should post it soon...

would be nice
What "would be nice" is a matter for the Wishlist thread (in which you posted three of the four cars two weeks back) and/or the Suggestions forum (in which the SF90 has 13 votes [you haven't voted], the 296 GTB has six votes [you haven't voted], and the F80 and 849 do not even have threads)...

For all (yet again), this thread is for discussion of what we know of Spec III, and speculation/prediction as to what we do not know. We've provided resources for wishlists and car suggestions (at least the latter of which is actually productive), so please use them rather than putting them into other, unrelated threads.

Well this happens alot because of the severe TBI. I might write same stuff many times and forget it almost immediately. I will get a grip now, or sharpen etc.

There really is big hole in representation of Ferrari V8 cars. It looks like PD skipped 90s and early 2000.
There really should be F355 and 360 Modena to complete the set.
But my another prediction would be 599 GTB since it was spotted in leaked car list.
That is strange indeed. You would have thought PD had added at least 2 cars from Ferrari for each year in the Gran Turismo games. But, it is what it is.

I would hate to see the 330 P4 removed. It’s a great car.

That's the thing: the 2016 winner is the same model, except with a different chassis number. The reality is that the individual 330 P4 that's been in the series since GT5 doesn't really exist, at least in a more technical sense. So I'm thinking the 330 P4 that won the 2016 prize will entirely replace the 330 P4 from GT5 in the next installment. When that replacement happens, I don't think it'll be likely most players will even notice, as I couldn't observe any differences whatsoever - barring the number that's painted on the car, that is.

I didn’t even really look into it. Good to know. Yeah I don’t care which 330 P4 is in the game. Haha so good to know. Also nice they have attention to detail like that. If we could only get them to group up some cars together more closely. Ones that actually competed against one another or at least some kind of modification you buy to make it that way.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, I haven’t read through the sixty plus pages of discussion. What is the general consensus on the new Toyota GR GT coming out in the spec III update? The car is being reveled the same day, correct? Plus, Toyota and PD have a close relationship.

I personally think this is a logical estimate of when we will get more info on the update (2 last card and release date)

- Saturday (November 29)
End of manufacturer cup so no announcement then
- Sunday (November 30)
Trailer for the update (I don’t expect the usual silhouette teaser since most of the updates cars are known)
- Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday (December 1-3)
Update release on either of these days and patch notes + trailer for Power Pack DLC and price
- Thursday (December 4)
Release of the power pack DLC

I personally don’t think the update will release on the same day as the DLC. I think it realistic expectations as to when we will receive additional information what do you think?

Hello… what’s this post about? Wasn’t expecting that. Does this go with the Subaru pic from last week?

I just think that since they didn’t want to release 1.63 on the same day as the announcement for spec III, why would they now want to release it at the same time as a DLC ?

I have now had a look at the blog and cant see any mention of releasing the same day as the Power pack dlc.The quote below is a small copy/paste from the blog.

The Power Pack DLC launches on December 4 as a paid Add-On for Gran Turismo 7 PS5 through PlayStation Store Also launching next month is SPEC III update* free for all GT7 owners, which brings new tracks, cars and features to the game. We’ll have more on that separate update soon!

*Available via patch v.1.64. Internet connection and account for PlayStation required

Im sure someone will point me in the right direction if theres more info. 👍

As we've said previously - in the article, repeatedly in this thread, in the recent GTP Podcast - there's two very solid reasons to think December 4th is the magic date for both:
  • The Polestar Time Trial Challenge cannot begin any later than December 4th. Special TT events usually run for the standard two-week window or more, and in order to get the winner (+1?) to Fukuoka before the World Finals start on December 20 - bearing in mind that the winner is likely going to be European region (or maybe South American; Japan is also possible, making life easier) and requiring a long flight - December 18 is the very latest it can close out in order to give enough time to arrange the travel on both sides. The Polestar arrives in 1.64/Spec III.
  • Power Pack will require 1.64 to function...
PlayStation Blog
Gran Turismo 7 fans, on December 4, 2025, the highly anticipated Power Pack DLC arrives for the PlayStation 5 console available through PlayStation Store as a paid Add-On*,

... meaning that the availability of the Power Pack is contingent on the availability of 1.64/Spec III, thus 1.64/Spec III cannot arrive any later than December 4th.

Multiple reasons we presume they'll be released on the same day (12/4):

1) Spec III content is shown in the previews for the PP.
2) I believe it said somewhere that the PP won't run without the 1.64 update but don't quote me on that.
3) The new Polestar electric car, which is part of the DLC, is the car used in the TT competition to win a trip to Japan for the final round of the GTWS. Said event takes place 12/20. Typically, PD gives us two weeks to compete in the TT. Back off from 12/20 those two weeks and rewind to the previous Thursday (when they drop DLCs) and we're sitting at 12/4.

But yea, I wish they'd just announce it already. Pretty soon, me thinks.

I'm hyped for the 2 new tracks and the F-3500 B. The rest of the update is a nice addition, but the car and tracks are what I want most.

I really hope you guys are right on the money and Spec III will release on December 4th. Can't wait for it!
