Im amazed the`its a race car/it isnt a race car`debate is till ongoing.;)

for me they will add a super championship (i Hope!) with F1 with all the race tracks.. Montreal,Yas Marina,Monza,Interlagos,Spa, Interlagos, Catalunya, Brands Hatch,Nurburbring Gp,Fuji..

what do you think?

If you're doing tracks that haven't hosted F1 for many years like Brands Hatch, may as well throw in Watkins Glen as well.

Oh I'm no slouch. Wasn't a GT Academy finalist for nothing. 😄 My races have been good too, but if I use a Gr.4 car against the AI Gr.4 cars, I have to detune my car to make it a fair race. The Z being a road car I don't have to do that.
I made a video to show you. The problem isn't that the Nissan is a road car, the problem is that the Nissan is an outlier that doesn't work properly within the PP system. I STRONGLY recommend watching the video. These cars are all set to "GR4" standard. The GR4 cars are all 650pp with Max downforce. The road cars are set to 650pp with Max downforce (because the amounts are about the same). The outlier is the Nissan that has to be 665pp to match the others. You can also see how the GR4 Scirocco and Suzuki, set the same way, simply can't match the other GR4 cars. (FYI, I throw it all away at the end, but you can see how close the race is throughout).

FYI Racing liveries = Racing car

To answer your question, throw all the racing parts at a car and be sure to include the rear diffuser. Then, slowly remove weight. How much depends on each car. Some only need stage 1 or stage 2. Always add the computer, the power restrictor, and the ballast so you can tune the power and weight.

For suspension, many cars default to being too low and too soft. Make the springs hard (Maximum or almost maximum) and given them 5-10 steps of extra ride height above the racing suspension default.

I've noticed from my 'BTCC' custom grids that the bulk of road cars are more than capable of holding it with GR4 if tuned accordingly. I mostly use the GR4 cars as filler, they only seem to start becoming competitive beyond lap 15 as though they suddenly wake up in the last 3rd of a race. I mostly go for matching power rather than pp as the pp system seems completely FUBAR. Even then I find that for some reason Hondas particularly seem to be outliers. The Integra needs an extra 30bhp to be competitive, usually ending up in the top 5 finishers and the Civics are a lost cause as far as I can tell, even running 400bhp in a grid of 355bhp cars they're destined to finish last.

Naw, it's fine, but it's imperfect. It's a great place to start as most cars will be competitive at the same PP. You just have to adjust for those that are not.

Am sorry for such a late query which might've been answered in one of the seventy one pages of this thread but has it been mentioned anywhere officially what would be size of the Spec III update?

Has the entire content of the update already been announced, or can we still expect some surprises?
BTW wish they would rectify the lousy roulette wheel. Either give higher payouts or enable an option where we return the miserable 5,000cr back into the roulette as a opposition to the system.

There's plenty we don't know even about some of the things that have been announced, and there's almost certainly stuff that hasn't been announced yet and stuff we won't even know about until the patch notes and stuff that's not even in there which we'll all discover later...

As a FH/FM player veteran of many updates/DLC's... just RELAX.

For me, these "you can now buy a car" invitations are much more annoying, since I already have them all. But that's supposed to stop, if I remember correctly.

I'm fine with seeing the workout ticket as a bonus, personally. I mean hey, even 5k credits is 5k credits. If anything, I'm more annoyed when I win an invite in particular, if only because I already have all the invite-exclusive cars. That said, I do hear that when Spec III drops, the invites will be both linked to the increased collector level cap and be permanent, so I'm very much down for that.

"Supposed to" and "Will" are, unfortunately, not directly interchangeable.

I'm sure they'll figure some way to make it better, but not fix it entirely.

Are y'all excited about Thursday? I'm sure this will have many players occupied and entertained. I'm still saving up for the ps5 cause the Sophy races were fun, less boring than having to deal with the clumsy A.I. drivers.

It will also be cool driving on the 2 new tracks with more car choices and combos. Can't wait for it and the official trailer.

Polyphony already did this kind of with the Super Formula... so it's not unlike PD are unwilling to bend the rules a little. I will say bending the rules is something Polyphony does well. :)

I mean, we've still not seen anything OFFICIAL from PD or Sony Spec III is releasing on Thursday. I know the deductive reasoning and all that, and I am on board. But it'd still be nice to see something straight from either of the horses' mouths... especially when you have a vacation day you're trying to line up with its release!:cool:

Same, I‘m really looking forward to finally being able to make liveries for a contemporary GT3 car and iconic F1 liveries such as the F2004. Actually I have way more livery ideas than leisure time right now.

I am definitely intrigued on finding out the rest of what we get in both Spec III AND the power pack, this I suspect will be very important in determining how those christmas sales will go for the game so it wouldn't surprise me if that might be a factor in why they haven't exactly been in a rush to tell us the price for the DLC. Gotta watch how the market flow is going before you pull the trigger.
