We need a anime too like cyberpunk edge runners please.

Highspeed Etoile is an incoming anime financed by Super Formula Japan. Closest we are getting to an actual real life racing series? With obvious futuristic touches to make it more appealing.

Is that the start/finish straight of High Speed Ring??

Kaz needs to consider making Motor Toon GP: The Movie. The merchandising alone would be a real money maker.
Or turn Omega Boost into an epic mecha anime series.

Hopefully better than the Uncharted film. I'm good with it if it is something like Jackie Chan's Thunderbolt.

Is the first 90% of the movie the same race repeated over and over until the main character can afford a race car?
It will have premium and standard cars though...

This might be the fresh air Gran Turismo needs for me to continue with it.

Suggested climax: Burt Reynolds is found to be still alive and comes out of retirement.

I’m worried this movie might be cringe. (The acting side of things) I’m actually looking forward to the racing scenes hoping they actually look good and replicate it well.

Benefit of the doubt , i guess/hope it will not be worse than the « biopic » of Furio Lamborghini recently viewed and shut off before having watched the first half of the movie...

Who is actually the target audience for this?

Or does any sort of film/TV Series with a famous name i.e Gran Turismo sell for good money to the streaming platforms these days? I.e it's free money to make a cheap film about something that people know a little about and that's good enough to make a profit of some sort.

Sony wanting its cinematic universe is the only answer I can possibly have. But let be honest Fast and Furious franchise could be easily retired in the heart of « cars » enthousiast by a good and grounded racing movie like this one hope to be

Is it supposed to be for a streaming platform? Thought it was coming to the theatre

So, Legolas taking part of racing...

"A red sun rises. Tires has been smoked this night"

YouTuber "sporting pink hair" featured in a movie...

In what universe could this possibly go well?
Before you contradict Emilia you should go check out her YouTube channel, she got a C8 as soon as it came out and turned it into the Worlds fastest C8, verified by the Guinness book of records, she works and mods her own cars, she drag races, she drifts, she's been number one trending in the world on her Instagram channel.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo Movie Officially Unveiled During Sony’s CES 2023 Presentation

Sony has revealed more about the upcoming Gran Turismo movie at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, with director Neill Blomkamp on hand to share his thoughts, along with a sneak peek of the first film footage we’ve seen so far...

I'm not sure that these people have heard about show, don't tell. Don't have your actors telling me about how awesome the movie is, just show me parts of the movie that would make me think that it's awesome.

I didn't know they had Neill Blomkamp directing. He's a solid director. His films have been a bit hit or miss (his best is probably still District 9) but visually he is very good. I expect this to be, if anything, a great looking movie.

Yeah more than anything Im interested in how their car cinematography will be.

This camera angle though 😂

Why couldn't they just use the existing GT logo. The film's logo looks terrible to me :dunce: The racing action is shaping up to be great though.

I’m waiting for the gift code for those that saw the movie. Unlocks liveries or certain cars featured in scenes.
