About time he responded on this issue...shame he has no idea what the issue was even though people have been talking about it for weeks and the notes said the issue was fixed.

Its totally destroyinv thd feeling imo and should bd priority above all else

A further post by him states that it will be given the highest priority.

Well this (from the M1 invitational) wasn't enough for the AI to pit for wets.

It was certainly enough for me to need to and drop from first to last.

While I agree that's a big issue for wheel users, I don't agree it should take priority over things like the game crashing which affects everybody. Quite a few people now (myself included) have had their game saves corrupted by crashes, which is incredibly frustrating, as it makes you paranoid about playing the game for too long. I have to quit after half an hour to back up my save to my external drive, such is my paranoia that I'll lose it again lol.

This game crashes quite a lot. I have ten games on my ps4, and none of the others have crashed even once. This game has crashed at least 20 times on me. I think that is a major issue that should definitely take priority.

I had the classic 'wheel moving to a stupid angle as the grid loaded' issue earlier. Had to quit race and restart another. Hoped that would be sorted now.

I don't think they are a shambles, but I do think they are liars and overwhelmed by the amount of work still left to do to finish the game.

Does the game still crashes in 1.4 ? I better tell my mate to not to update yet if that's the case, he's thinking of selling the game if 1.4 still crashing at random ( I told him the game makers will fix the issue on the next patch ). I feel bad already for suggesting the game as birthday present to his wife :(

My PS4 pCARS has not crashed after 1.4. I had only 1 crash... that was with v1.2. (PS4 didn't get patch 1.3.) I would tell your friend it's too soon to give up on the game. Based on the info shared by SMS on their forum throughout this process, I always believed patch 1.5 would be the key update.

I need a test from someone who had similar issues before 1.4, the crashes do not happen to all PS4 players, and the frequency of the crash varies. You only had 1 crash for example, my mate had almost 1 crash happen in every play session and other games he owned never had one. He has put the game on the shelf for about 2 weeks now. If anyone who had random crash issues, could you please tell me if still had the same issue in 1.4 or has it been lessened or fixed ?

Probably best to sell the game, if he has that many crashes and he needs the money for some other game, or some other reason. I rarely have any crashes on PC and Xbox. He can buy it later on if he wants to, when most issues will be fixed.

If he traded the game then I will have cover the difference as it was my idea to pick the game as present :( His wife isn't happy at all with my choice :banghead: Better ask him to keep it on the shelf for awhile, who knows it won't cause any crash again after a few updates.

I noticed in the patch notes that a couple of specific things causing crashes (like the pagani invitational in career) have been fixed, but I can't tell you yet if it's any better as I honestly haven't even played since the update. I've only had the ps4 a couple of months and I bought so many games for it that I've struggled to find time for Project CARS since I lost my progress.

I'll let you know in here, when I do play it a decent amount, how it performs. I agree that it's too early to give up on it. SMS will fix the problems. They are working very hard to please everyone from what I've read. It will just take some time.

I remember when people with consoles used to bag out PCs because consoles were easy and just worked. Seems times have changed. I feel bad for console users now, not one crash on my PC...

Project cars wasn't the first game that crashed on my ps4. Ether One crashed on mine's twice and that is a PC game. I would continue playing Project Cars but the setting on my Thrustmaster T300 makes it extremely frustrating to drive around a track.

If SMS didn't release such a buggy game, nobody would have to sell anything.

I agree as of today have had to close down and restart after I wished to end my practice session 5 times in various races. Another problem is when doing a hot lap for qualifing the controller tries to make me pit which usually means a trip to the grass and a no lap qualify notice given

UPDATE Still trying to simulate session but that was not what i asked it to do/ Iwanted to finish session

however AI in the rain still drive like a beast and they don't pit for wet tyres. Morever in career mode in GT5 they still do their mandatory pit stop on the last lap. This is what i just experienced in GT5 silverstone round.

Rarely, but it happened alredy twice, set-up are randomly messed up.

Till now i'm only benefiting from an improved wheel experience, feels better than before at 900°

So i'm asking myself what this patch does.. placebo to avoid people keep moaning..

Really disapponted by SMS, i had the same range of problems with their Shift 2 unleashed. They patched that game so many times and they solved nothing.. it had the same bugs of Pcars. Still rember the messed up set-up of the DLC cars. (let me say however that it was my favourite racing game on ps3)

I can easily reach the cable to disconnect but I'd rather not as TM don't recommend it (although I used to do it). It's just frustrating that it still happens. My only previous wheel experience was with Driveclub and I can't remember having a single issue, other than suspend/resume disabling the FFB but that might just be the console's fault. Don't know why it's so hard to get the input devices working properly.

The patch has definitely made some changes. Most noticeable change has been to the AI at 100% lol

The AI is much faster now. I'm actually struggling lol. I bloody love it

I had a couple of crashes before the patch. I've had none since.

If your friend wants you pay for his wife's gift because she doesn't like it you should probably find a new friend.

I had the biggest problem with the Escort invitational which isn't affected by changes in the rain as the car only has one choice of tyres. According to this thread AI balancing is a separate issue. I'm sure you and others are already aware of this but just wanted to put this out there for those like me who hadn't been.

I'm getting a bit pissed now. I'm understanding that the game releases with bugs like this, understanding i have to wait until they patch it, but then having the patch not doing what it said it would is a bit too much...

Career back on hold. It's nice playing PCARS with what is available and works, but i'm starting to agree with others at the moment; if you are a smart consumer, the videogame industry being what it is nowadays; better wait until 6 months after a game releases so it's actually complete, doesn't have game breaking bugs and you might have a discount on the price too.

    PS4.

I've just had a corrupt save, lost everything, 80 hours of racing, about 9 seasons of career. When I load up the game, the woman asks me what settings i want, as if i've never played before. **** ** *** ******!!

I had just bought the DLC, to add salt to the wound.
