Update 1.20 is now available to download for Driveclub. Weighing in at 500 MB, the update introduces new “Elite” driver levels, new club leaderboards for every tour event, updates to club challenges, photo mode improvements and more based on the continuous feedback from the community.

If you were still hopeful for the Bertone Vision Gran Turismo car to come along to GT6 despite the company’s real world problems, you’re out of luck. Eagle-eyed GTPlanet members and F5 key enthusiasts caught a refresh of the Vision GT section of the official Gran Turismo website and Bertone no longer appears there as a participating manufacturer.

This has been a much calmer week, and graciously so with everything that’s been going on throughout the past several weeks; GTPlanet’s expansion is taking quite the toll on us all and for the strangest of reasons I find myself wishing, nay, craving that this week had been as hectic as those that have preceded. Make no mistake, there’s still plenty in the pipeline that you’ll all be privy to soon enough, but I suppose I’ve grown accustomed to the frantic, fast-paced deliverance of all things racing – down with the sickness I guess you could say.

Six Gran Turismo 6 gamers are now one giant step closer to becoming Nissan’s next professional race car driver. Following two intense days of competition at the U.S. 2015 Nissan GT Academy Finals in Nashville, the following competitors have earned the right to represent the United States during the International Race Camp at the legendary Silverstone Circuit in England, where the next GT Academy Champion will be crowned:

Hot on the heels of Wednesday’s FM6 Garage reveal, Turn 10 has announced a free two-car bonus pack for their current game. While the ten car Porsche pack from last month cost users money, this pack is free. The catch? You only have until next Friday, July 24th, to download it (through the One’s Forza Hub app). After that the pack won’t be available for download, but the cars will stay in your garage.

Kunos Simulazioni have revealed that the next major track addition to Assetto Corsa will be Brands Hatch, a venue called “the best circuit in the world” by former Formula One driver Gerhard Berger.

A new batch of seasonal events are now available in Gran Turismo 6, featuring beginner, intermediate, and expert level challenges featuring sports and race cars. The prizes are unlike those offered previously and are unique to Gran Turismo. One great thing about the pervasion of real world circuits in racing games is the ability for the gaming community to compare how different companies approach the modelling of the tracks.

The online time trials may have finished a month ago, but qualification for GT Academy is still very much available if you can get yourself to a Live Event in your region.

To utter the phrase “What a week this has been!” as has become synonymous with the Spotlight in recent weeks would be a gross understatement. This has been one of the most active weeks for the GTPlanet community in recent memory, and with no end in sight and even more expansion in the works, GTPlanet is not only the de facto standard in bringing forth Gran Turismo news the second it’s available, it is also becoming the standard in delivering news relating to a number of other popular racing games that pique the community’s interest. The question now becomes, for those worried, what has happened to GTPlanet – isn’t this supposed to be a community that celebrates only Gran Turismo?

F1 2015 may very well release for the European audience tomorrow, those in North America more than a week later, and those in Brazil days after, the Italian audience will be able to enjoy the game today. This bodes well for the passionate Tifosi, supporters of Scuderia Ferrari, a team far more competitive than last year and will no doubt want to drive their team to a championship victory.

Marco Massarutto, Licensing Project Manager at Kunos Simulazioni, revealed today on his Facebook page that BMW’s M4 coupe is on the way to Assetto Corsa. This revelation comes after a test drive Massarutto had in the M4 at Vallelunga Circuit last year – a circuit home to Kunos as they occupy a pit garage outfitted as an office – and would inquire about licensing the car for inclusion in the game.

Last week, Turn 10 began its weekly Garage reveal, announcing the entire Formula E grid as well as 30 other cars, bringing the total of announced vehicles for the upcoming game to 174. This week, the slow tease is continued.

As announced earlier last month, Assetto Corsa will be making the transition to the current generation consoles in 2016 and Inside Sim Racing’s Darin Gangi brings us the first look of the progress being made with the new user interface coming to consoles and PC.

Patch 2.0 is now available for Project CARS across all platforms and promises to fix a number of issues brought to light by the passionate community. Weighing in at 1.4GB, the 2.0 patch covers a wide range of areas and the fixes for all platforms are as follows:
