Ferrari just completely dropped the ball on that strategy. The undercut was a good idea, but it was way too soon, and way too slow.

Hamilton - Never set a wheel wrong all weekend. He won it all in qualifying. That was, I think, the most impressive qualifying lap I've seen from him since the big wet one in Silverstone a few years ago.
Verstappen - What a great race for him. Looked like he won it in qualifying, but gearbox issues hampered him in the race, probably contributing to his place loss to Vettel early on. But he never gave up. He drove a great race tonight. Measured in wheel to wheel racing. Precise. Determined. I hope we see more of this Max over the last few races of the season.
Vettel - Terrible weekend. Damaged the car. Almost got kicked in Q2 because of Ferrari's overly optimistic tire gamble. Then just couldn't string a lap together in Q3, as Merc had figured out the temperature window much better than Ferrari. Then that disastrous pitstop. A lot of Vettel's misfortune is of his own making, but it's the team that did him in today.
Bottas - Not a bad finish, but not a good one. He should have been giving Vettel a hard time, but instead had to focus on preserving his own race. Again, completely unimpressed with his wheel-to-wheel skills. And that gap to Lewis in qualifying is telling. Bottas is probably never going to be a championship contender. Merc should be thinking of a succession plan. It's good having a set pecking order for drivers, but it would be nice having a number two who can win races when things go wrong for number one.
Raikkonen - Meh. I've had better races. (takes a swig of vodka)
Ricciardo - A bit so so this weekend. Interesting long first stint strategy, but didn't really gain him anything.
Alonso - In no man's land. Good strategy by the team and fantastic driving got him higher than that car should ever have gone. Especially considering its lack of qualifying pace. It's sad to think this will be his last race here.
Nobody else matters. Lewis lapped everyone up to Sainz. Special mention for Perez as cucumber of the day.
