Who thought it was a good idea to make the 296 GT3 1.2 million cr?

It seems like this GTWS build only has 4 cars, the Polestar, Ferrari, Mines and F1. no FTO or other cars

A single one hour race at spa will do it.
Over a month to pull it off.

I think these are all the Brand Central cars for the update. The remaining 4 are either for the UCD or LCD. Assuming the Panda code leak is also real for Spec III, it should be a used car along the FTO.

Funny there's no Gilles Villeneuve Circuit is this build, though.
I wouldn't assume this for sure, because clearly they can hide stuff in this build - as you mention, there's no Montreal.

It'd not be a good look for PD if, say, that new Toyota leaked through this before it was officially announced.

i know this version of the game is nowhere near the version we will get, but i'm a bit worried about the 296 sound, it was clearly taken from the ford gt gte, which sounds completely different from the 296, hopefully is just a placeholder.

new f1 car is here btw, with some specs too

Speaking of the F1 car the base bodywork in brand central seems to be based off an early 90s Tyrrell, am I right F1 folk

Yeah... I don't think we are going to get other layouts for Yas Marina in Spec III. Mainly because of this:

If there were other layouts, I think they would differentiate them with the actual names of the layouts, even if this is an early build without the complete Spec III content. Instead of "Yas Marina Circuit Grand Prix Layout", or something like that, we simply get "Yas Marina Circuit".

For comparison, here's an example of Catalunya in-game.

This is normal. PD are incredibly inconsistent about this.

Monza, Suzuka, Red Bull Ring, Autopolis, Spa and Le Mans all mirror the setup we've seen from Yas Marina (full name is just the location name with no layout suffix, with the Circuit Experience/Quick Race name being "Full Course") while having secondary layouts.

You may be right, but to be fair I don't think PD is completely consistent with their track names. When Catalunya was only the single layout in Sport and 7 it was referred to as 'Grand Prix Layout' even though it was the only layout for a long time (alternate layouts were added 4 years later). Hopefully not the case for Yas Marina :D

It took years for us to get new Nurburgring layouts. We still don't have Suzuka West, Monza short, I'm pretty sure there are still Nurb layouts missing and I don't think we have the short version of Catalunya either. I really wouldn't expect Yas Marina to be any different, no matter how theoretically simple it is to do.

But they did include both layouts of Watkins Glen when it was first added.

PD work in weird & mysterious ways, it is not for us to question or even try to predict them.

I would be highly disappointed if they don't take this opportunity, the Spec 3 update, to freshen the game with some new features and QoL improvements. I know they haven't said anything to set this expectation, but for me 8 new cars, some of which are not really appealing to me, and 2 new tracks are not enough for breathe bew life into a 3 year game. For me, the most exciting change, of the things we already know, is the telemetry feature

We need a new customizable HUD, new camera options, an option to remove the wheel in cockpit view and mirror in all views, radar in the center of the screen and tyre temps, crew chief, bigger grids, more custom races options, more Sophy tracks, more tracks with rain and 24h cycle, more single player content and changes to sport mode.

GT7 is a great game, but it's been too longe since something we had a significant change.

As far as I can remember, GT has never had Monza Short so I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Maybe. Maybe not. We only know of five cars at the moment.

  • Ferrari 296 GT3
  • Mine’s R34
  • Mitsubishi FTO
  • F3500-B
  • Polestar 5

It might be stretch for the remaining three cars to all be GT3/Gr.3 cars. We’ll see.
There has to be a couple surely just to balance it out, even with BoP the 296 would surely be the car to pick in GR3?

I can’t recall(maybe someone else can) when we got two Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars in the same update.
