Spec II is a single data point. You cannot infer anything from one data point: one point is nothing; two is a line; three is a pattern; more is a better pattern. For example, Spec II had three American cars, so Spec III should also if we go by "that one major update they had tells us about the next major update they're making", right? Oh wait, it has absolutely none revealed at all and can therefore have a maximum of two...Refered to spec ll update the other updates has not really been that major.
It also is on the list above (1.40), because it added an EV in that regular Meme/EV/VGT slot - which, again, has been five slots in the last two larger-than-usual updates, so the Polestar 5 won't necessarily be alone.
Let's do track updates while we're at it, eh?
1.17 (3) - Ford Roadster and Suzuki VGT Gr3
1.23 (3) - Nissan Silvia S14 Ks and Porsche VGT Spyder and Volkswagen ID.R
1.29 (5) - Citroen DS21
1.40 (7) - Tesla Model 3
Yikes. Seems like every update that isn't just three or four cars and can be contrived as a more major one has a Meme/EV/VGT added.
I mean, it's coming at some point and, bearing in mind previous examples, it's overdue. Why not in amongst seven other cars so people can't do the usual "ugh, they wasted one of the THREE cars to add this POS, that's a third of them" noise?I hope it's not the Fiat Panda.
You'd have to be pretty curmudgeonly to crap on 1.64 for having a Panda in it when you get the 296 GT3 (that one car people have been screaming about for three years), Espace F1, Mine's R34, the F3500-B, and two circuits. Maybe they'll add another new-and-shiny-bait car to make those people less sad about the Polestar, FTO, and (again, this is only what I think, because it fits everything) Panda.
