Interesting comments from Supergt in his video regarding the invitation tickets in the spec 3 update. When it was announced i interpretated the invitations thing as being able to buy unlimited invitations in brand central.,thus being able to buy unlimited invitation cars.
He may be right on his take on it,he probably knows more than us,time will tell.
My interpretation of both the ‘unlimited’ invitations plus the Spec III trailer is that the invitations are not only still available from tickets, but if you reach certain collector levels then you’ll unlock an unlimited invitation. I’m assuming (and this is based on nothing FYI) that invitations from tickets may still have the 30 day time limit and invitations from collector levels will be the ‘no expiry’ ones

Im hoping the random tickets will cease to be a thing,as do the parts tickets.👍

But why? Getting free stuff just for driving around or completing a menu is a good thing! Even if it often only nets you 10000 Cr.
Yesterday I got 500 grand for sliding around in an NSX at Suzuka from a 4-star ticket for completing the daily mileage.

Or do you mean just the invitation tickets?

It might be because these deals tend to have money involved. Dunlop is likely paying advertising dollars for this.
Dunlop is an odd choice. Their road legal tyres are all utter dogpoo unless Kaz is planning on introducing the Dunlop calendar as the official date supplier.

Opinions vary. I've had Dunlops without issue. That said, this is ABSOLUTELY irrelevant.

Dunlop is the supplier for the FIM WEC and being featured in the game is part of their marketing program. Any of the tire logos that exist in the game, exist because of marketing programs.

Why not give them more, not one in a day. Like hitting 500 miles, 1000 miles or something like that. Shouldn´t be only 1 ticket a day.

I’m still betting on at least one V8 Supercar due to the Dunlop race tyre sponsorship. :sly:
Can we get ONE Aussie car in the game first, at least :sly: building the Gen3 SCs with an outdated Mustang is lame.

I'd also really like them to update Bathurst if only because the Speed TV billboard trips me up and dates it so much

Dunlop tires here in the States are/were so overpriced that they don't even make/sell(?) them here anymore.

I also think it's hilarious how late all the Michelin-branded stuff made it to the game (Road Atlanta and the tire branding) only for the tire branding to go away like 5 minutes later

I have purchased all the cars in game except Citroen GT because I can't get an invitation for it...
Is it safe to assume that after the update I will automatically jump on collector level 70 (or whichever is max) and I'll be rewarded with Citroen invitation? 🤔

This logistical problem didn’t stop Playground Games/ Turn 10 from adding it back into Forza in the original form that it existed in.
I'm not convinced PD ever wants to return to the Standard Cars era.

I wouldn't immediately say yes, but that's what I'd be expecting.

I imagine the last 2 cars are probably either 2 that are pretty extreme or would gain even more praise than the Espace F1. Something like the Minolta, RUF Yellowbird (I personally think this is one of the 2 in Spec III) or the Tommy Kaira ZZII returning would be pretty fitting and are definitely series staples like the Escudo, GT ONE and now the Espace F1.

I can even see PD digging up something very unexpected like the NOMAD Diablo which afaik looks quite different from how it did in previous GT games but IIRC the Escudo isn't even fully assembled anymore so they could still create the OG configuration I imagine as long as they have good enough data and the car is in Japan so they could probably track it down if they wanted to.

Given both companies are defunct (Ironically both in 2021 with both owners also passing in the same year), it would be a miracle if ANYONE could..assuming they even can find the cars.

I've always wondered what the licensing situation would be concerning a defunct manufacturer. If in effect, it no longer has an owner per se and/or no longer exists, who would you turn to for permission to use it in a game?

I'm hoping that at least one of the two remaining ones will be a big one.

C'mon PD...

My bet will be for a modern sports/super/hypercar (Example: M4 G82, Ferrari 488, Ferrari F80) and as you said, a highly popular returning car, me personally hoping for an M5 since you can also find it in the datamine, but something like the Minolta seems more possible for this update.

I'm expecting at least one of the last two to be a 2020s road car, and if I'm honest, expecting both to be completely new-to-series.

Between the FTO, the Mine's, and the Espace F1, old Gran Turismo nostalgia is pretty heavily represented in the update already; I'm not particularly expecting them to draw from that well a fourth time (and definitely not a fifth!).

I agree with this. There's little incentive to keep driving once you have the ticket. Why not have the first 26 miles be a 3 star and each subsequent marathon scales up the ticket?

When a company goes bust, the assets will all become part of the insolvency estate and the insolvency parcticioner will then sell those on either with or separate to other parts of the estate.

IIRC SuperGT said in his video that you still have to "win" the invitations, they just don't expire anymore. But maybe I remember that wrong.

Well there wasn't that much juice on the demos, I did ask Jordan about it at the LA event, SuperGT had access to the same booths, so if I were to assume anything, SuperGT knows as much about the update as us

Basically he's talking about whatever small things he saw, he needs to make social media content so it's understandable he tries to stretch things a little bit, I respect that

That SpeedTV billboard is just embarrassing to see every time!

I’ve lost track of how many cars are and aren’t accounted for for the Spec III content list, but…

A new Genesis concept sportscar just got revealed, which PD have a fairly close relationship with, but, crucially, one of their sportcar program drivers leaked that it’s meant to be the platform they use to build a GT3 car off of:

I feel like it’s not impossible, but it’d also be rubbing shoulders with a bunch of other partnered branding content as it is. Maybe something we could see later down the line if not?

On the other hand, there have been cases like the Pennzoil R34 GT-R GT500, whose chassis was later given to the Castrol car in 2000 and then written off in a free practice accident (historical event appearances is based on the 1999 Calsonic chassis instead) and the Escudo Pikes Peak, whose chassis were reportedly reused for Tajima's subsequent evolutions of his Pikes Peak car (including the SX4 that was in GT6). There's also the story of the 4200R.
