I always found it interesting that PD made such a big deal about this thing being revived for the digital age... only to not bother remodelling it for Sport or 7.

That's touching on one thing I'm really curious about, future proofing.

Will PD "freeze" their car scanning and modelling pipeline at some point for further titles?

From a user perspective, I'd say the quality of cars right now is good enough to carry over into any future GT titles.

Imagine how amazing the car roster of GT8 (or whatever iteration) could be in ten years, if we stop having these "setbacks" of new console generations.

I hope next focus will be track visuals, cars are beautiful (and we don't even get them in their full glory while racing), but tracks could be much better visually.

I think the tracks are pretty good but LoD wise they don't shine as they could be. You still have object pop-ins. What's even more distracting are the shadows. Take Circuit d la Sarthe for example. You can see how the shadows on the trees and on the armcos pop-in. Lots of room for improvements. Same for the visible distance and LoD in the rear view mirror though we can be happy, if we compare it to Rennsport... :D

Poor Rennsport 😅

Are they going to be open thread to predict the last 2 cars,

On the other hand, there have been cases like the Pennzoil R34 GT-R GT500, whose chassis was later given to the Castrol car in 2000 and then written off in a free practice accident (historical event appearances is based on the 1999 Calsonic chassis instead) and the Escudo Pikes Peak, whose chassis were reportedly reused for Tajima's subsequent evolutions of his Pikes Peak car (including the SX4 that was in GT6). There's also the story of the 4200R.
I still remember the 4200R from GT5, what a nice Concept and fun car, still didn't know the story behind the modeling, really cool story. Love these things from Kaz & the team.

Hope we can see the car return in the future (I imagine all the data is stored in the studio)

Im hoping the random tickets will cease to be a thing,as do the parts tickets.👍
I will just like it if tickets scale properly now. No reason why current maximum level should ever give you 5,000cr. You work your rear end off getting to that level just to be rewarded pathetically.

In my opinion it should now be the 5-star ticket commonly at level 60, and the 6-star normal ticket commonly for being at level 70. If is not this way, then why bother to increase collector level if no benefits for it? It will make level 70 redundant if it is not like this.

But why? Getting free stuff just for driving around or completing a menu is a good thing! Even if it often only nets you 10000 Cr.
Yesterday I got 500 grand for sliding around in an NSX at Suzuka from a 4-star ticket for completing the daily mileage.

Or do you mean just the invitation tickets?
Invitation tickets and crappy parts bin tickets.Im hoping....

The way I'd put it is, every car is of a standard that is good enough going forward, but that won't stop PD trying to improve their processes and making better models in the future, they aren't freezing anything.

There is a quality difference between GT Sport launch cars (and especially GT Sport early update cars that were returning GT5/6 Premiums) to cars just releasing now, but that quality difference is not enough that the older cars look bad in any way or need to be removed.

Hopefully cars and tracks stay as they are, I really don't have it in me to wait another 15 years to get a decent amount of content for marginal improvements. And it's not like there's anyone out there challenging GT for the graphics crown, we got to the point where all racers look more or less the same.

I'm surprised that less than two weeks out we still know absolutely nothing about the online improvements.

That's the one part of the update I was expecting to leak a bit, what with world series drivers generally being part of the feedback loop for that area. They're generally never shy about hyping things up (or, conversely, also never shy of expressing frustration when things may not be looking good).

Safe to assume whatever improvements there are just weren't in the build they used at GTWS, same as Gilles-Villeneuve.

Yeah. Online and the ffb. Its been a long stint since ffb, at least for fanatec products, has kinda sucked. The lack of feels, and subsequently fun, has knocked my play time down from daily, to maybe 30min every day or three. Not really sure why they strive to be so good with controllers(which is great. Happy for them), yet 💩 on the wheel users when it comes to force feedback.

... is fine. Wishlisting is not.

We have a Suggestions forum for expressing your desires for individual content items and a Wishlist thread for multiple content items - as well as myriad individual themed wishlist threads - provided precisely for a productive outlet for this purpose. There is simply no need to seagull it all over the forum, nor is it productive to do so.

As for a 1.64 Predictions Thread, given that we know most of what content is coming - and the Panda is nailed-on for one of the two remaining unknown spots - as well as broad strokes of other changes, there appears little point. It'd be two weeks of people guessing a random car (or two, but come on) on the basis that the F3500-B and Polestar 5 couldn't be predicted so literally anything is a viable prediction, and whether there's more layouts to YM or not. Maybe also what and how many new races, engine swaps, paints, and wheels there are.

And most of that has already come to pass in this thread.

If there's a good reason for it that I'm not seeing, please feel free to express it.

How do we know the panda is a remaining car for spec3? And, if it is, why keep this car undercover in the last two cars?
A lot of questions here... PD is teasing with a fiat panda everyone have seen during g.giugiaro visit 🤔

One thing i noticed watching a video on spec lll during world series is that yas Marina had a Ferrari circuit challange as well as a well as world touring car 800.

Witch could actully mean that one of the last 2 cars could be a ferrari supercar.
I’ve been waiting for an SF90, but an F80 would fit the current roster more, following the LaFerrari. But I guess the timespan to create the F80 would be too long, as the car came into production only in the last months. And maybe it won’t be a Ferrari at all, let’s see. :)

This was something I was thinking to.

And there are plenty Ferraris worth adding to GT7

From road going 296 to SF90 and i think that sp3 daytona could be possible.

PD has been known to have modeled a car before it's official release

We don't. We don't know anything about the two as-yet unrevealed cars because they haven't been revealed or hinted at in any way...

... except that.

To date in the current era we've only seen two cars that were allowed to be visible* as models in some way during an event at Polyphony Digital: the Ruf CTR3 and the Jaguar XJ220. Both arrived in the relevant game four months and just under one week later:

November 28, 2019: https://www.gtplanet.net/gt-sport-u...lewis-hamilton-content-and-the-return-of-ruf/

April 27, 2023: https://www.gtplanet.net/gt7-update-132-available-20230427/

The FIAT Panda became the third such car when it appeared on-screen in the visit by Giugiaro:

May 3, 2025: https://www.gtplanet.net/fiat-panda-gt7-giugiaro-20250503/

We actually pointed the above out in that article too:

Glimpsing a vehicle in development like this is rare, but the last time it happened was with the Jaguar XJ220 in a presentation at PD’s offices, and that arrived four months after we first saw it. There was also the Ruf CTR3, seen in a Sony Bravia TV ad in July 2019 before hitting GT Sport that November.

Four months and just under one week on from that would have been September 7-8, 2025, when there wasn't an update. The next update was 1.63 on September 24, and didn't contain the Panda. While 1.64 is the "December" update, it's also the next possible opportunity for the car to arrive.

Personally, I'd be very surprised if it wasn't in 1.64, especially as there's no other proper production classics in the six revealed so far. Of course you are entitled to think otherwise.

*Unless you think it was accidental, and the cars just happened to be on screens visible to the camera (while most others were off) and escaped being edited out of the final footage, of course...

Thank you for these precisions.
Two weeks to wait, or less if silouettes are coming soon, and we kwow.

Yes we see. But given it was Ferrari circuit challange event its very likely it could be new Ferrari coming with spec lll, pd always add new event types that matches with theme of the cars for the update.

I see the Fiat panda very unlikely for spec lll it dosent match a car pd in general adds for an major update, if its arriving it will most likely be in smaller update later.

Any new Ferrari would make me happy their is still a lot of them we dont have in gt7 yet.

What are we defining as "major update"?

Every 5+ car update has had a slow production car, or an EV, or a VGT, or more than one of those three. The last two have had five between them - three in the most recent...

1.27 (5) - Ferrari VGT
1.29 (5) - Citroen DS21
1.31 (5) - Toyota Alphard
1.40 (7) - Tesla Model 3
1.48 (5) - Honda Civic EG, Volvo 240
1.49 (6) - Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Racer VGT
1.54 (5) - Porsche Mission X, Suzuki Jimny Sierra
1.63 (5) - Opel Corsa VGT, Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, Toyota RAV4

Although 1.64 already has the Polestar 5 as the EV, there's no obstacle to one of the other two spots being a slow production car or a VGT - and the only VGT we're aware of (the Xiaomi) is unlikely.

Refered to spec ll update the other updates has not really been that major.
And it sure looks like gt7 getting its biggest ever update yet.

But i could always be wrong and we could see the Fiat panda in there.
But it would be weird pd saved one of the last car reveals to just be Fiat panda ex,

The Fiat Panda would be epic! I’m hoping for an engine swap too, maybe the Civic engine

Understandable but its not something i would be excited for at all. But pd is the one that decides.

I hope it's not the Fiat Panda. Would much rather it be a Coupe Turbo although this is probably extremely unlikely. I don't mind the Panda but I can't believe they would have all this secrecy surrounding the final two cars only to reveal a slow, mass production car, even if it's defined as a "classic" by some people. Then again, this is PD, after all.....

Speaking of which, do we know the exact model that's coming?
