They can regale us with such wonderful insights as “my dad owns a Porsche”, and “I also play the piano”, like they do in game.

That’ll be exciting.
come to france we have baguettes! I live in england where it's rainy a lot! I'm from italy and we have ciabatta! it seems like only yesterday that we met at the used car dealership! take a deep breath and try again!

if they managed to make a 6 season show about a diverse group of drivers buying trash cars and working their way up the ranks of motorsport while collecting cars like Pokémon I for one would watch it

This is why you get an actor to play you. Maybe you're going with Tom Hanks, who can do a lot, or a Christian Bale type. So many choices!

You’ve also got the story of starting with a base car and building it to race in competition from amatuer to professional.
I wouldn't go as far as to call that a story. It's a simple gameplay progression mechanic.

Starter car : A70 Supra

Mid car : Skyline R32 GTR

Endgame car : Ford GT Spec II LM

That's how I think it would go if they're going to dramatize this lol

Do you like Kaz and Polyphony Digital?

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Gran Turismo came out in '97, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole game has a clear, crisp style, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism really gives the gameplay a big boost. He's been compared to Magellan, but I think Kaz has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humour.

HEY PAUL!

Season 1 will consist of 100 episodes, 10 will be released initially, the others will be released at the rate of 1 per month and will cost $100 per episode. But here's the twist: half the episodes will be on VHS tapes that can't be played anywhere anymore. But here comes twist #2: the other half will be nuclear fission chips that won't have a player developed for them for another 250 years.

My guess is that the format of the show will be the producer talking about all the things that will be in the following episodes, but then they'll not actually show them and then tell us we should all be happy because the show will be good eventually.

You've seen bad Hollywood gamer movies and you've seen bad Hollywood car movies, but now you can see both hobbies awfully misrepresented at the same time!

This is going to be so cringy to watch... it won't have almost anything to do with Gran Turismo because Gran Turismo has literally zero story. Aside from the newest game the presentation of the progression has always been in the form of a menu slightly fancier than an Excel-spreadsheet
