PlayStation Experience 2016 Starts Today: Watch the Live Stream Here

If you’ll allow us one cliché: Christmas is coming early for select PlayStation gamers this weekend. The Sony-hosted PlayStation Experience is about to kick off in Anaheim, California, where over 100 titles will be playable, many before they’re available on store shelves.

GT Awards 2016 Video Offers (Brief) Glimpse at the Big Party

Last month, Polyphony Digital employees descended upon Las Vegas for the 14th Gran Turismo Awards. While Kazunori Yamauchi himself was not present — he was presenting London with the world’s first look at GT Sport utilizing PS4 Pro and PSVR — the party was just as large as it has been in previous years. You can see for yourself up top.

GTPlanet Awards 2016: Nominations

Run every year since 2005 by DQuaN, the GTP Awards celebrate the best aspects of our community, and with the end of the year nearly upon us it’s time to start the process anew.

Racing Cars Take Center Stage in Latest GT6 Super Lap & Drift Trials

Polyphony have pulled the trigger on the latest Seasonal Events for Gran Turismo 6. This week’s events are a combination of time trial and drifting challenges, testing your mettle at a variety of racing venues. Whether it be non-race equipped or tuned machines, or GT300-class racing machines, this week’s seasonals appeal to them all.

Post-Release Support for Racing Games: A Blessing or Hindrance?

DLC has changed the way we play games. Gone are the days where you buy a ‘finished’ product on release as additional content and Season Passes become more prominent in each new release. The racing genre naturally lends itself to embracing this new delivery model, since there will always be ‘that’ car or track fans plead for inclusion. Arcade, semi-sim or full-blown simulation — regardless of the sub-genre we have examples of developers and publishers outlining extensive DLC plans and asking for your premium to make it happen.

Polyphony Digital Spotted Recording Super GT Lexus RC F

Although GT Sport is set to hit the stores sometime in 2017, it’s very much possible to catch the latest developments even now. Previously we learned things are improving in the sound department of the game. Judging the latest news, another class of cars is on its way.

Porsche Once Again Spotted in Forza Horizon 3

It looks like someone at Playground Games has once again let the cat (or is it pig?) out of the bag. After a brief glimpse of what appeared to be a 911 GT3 4.0 RS during E3 2016, the brand has once again been spotted, this time within Forza Horizon 3’s menus.

Latest Forza Horizon 3 Forzathon is a Money Maker

After last week’s Thanksgiving inspired events, Forzathon turns it’s eye to giving you some more cash to spend on the 300+ cars in-game, as well as a 30% discount on every one of them. This week’s events are as easy as they come and you won’t have to worry about finding a game of Infected or hoping those in online adventure choose a class that isn’t based around hypercars — all events can be done without the multiplayer aspect of the game.

GT Sport vs. Forza 6: Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Sound Comparison

The strapping Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat has become the subject of another audio evaluation in GT Sport. Carried out by MotoGamesTV once more, the footage puts together GT Sport’s latest direct-capture audio sample of the car against the one found in Forza Motorsport 6.

Fanatec Gets in on Black Friday Deals: Up to 48% Off, Today Only

Black Friday has only just begun, but we’ve been keeping track of the deals since last week. One area that seems to be lacking — especially compared to last year — is sim racing hardware like wheels and seats. Fanatec has stepped up to offer a discount on a small selection of its wares, and depending on region, it could save keen racers almost 50% compared to retail.
