Following the reveal of Driveclub’s March update content, Evolution launched the update yesterday and went into further detail about what to expect on the 22nd March from the next round of DLC Driveclub has to offer.

New seasonal events are now available in Gran Turismo 6. This week’s events are the usual fare, a combination of challenge events with varying degrees of difficulty, featuring NASCAR racing machines, non-race cars, and lightweight British cars of the non-racing variety.

Gran Turismo Sport was first revealed almost four and a half months ago. Since then, Polyphony have remained tight-lipped on the PS4’s first Gran Turismo title, though morsels have slipped off the table to keep the fanbase hungry for new information. Shortly after the unveiling, Sony Europe CEO Jim Ryan announced his confidence in the game hitting its 2016 release target.

March has already been a busy month for numerous racing titles. Unwilling to simply idle along, the folks at Evolution have loosened the taps on the drip-feed of information for this month’s Driveclub update.

The Pirelli World Challenge season got underway this past weekend, bringing more success for GT Academy grads and Nissan’s 2016 motorsports teams. Bryan Heitkotter was bumped up to the top GT class in the PWC mid-season last year, where he ended the series in a respectable 10th place. Recently published news on the official website could really turn the heat up among photo enthusiasts of the popular driving simulator Project CARS. In order to celebrate the launch of the new Playseat Project CARS gaming seat Slightly Mad Studios decided to collaborate with Playseat once more and host a photo competition for all Project CARS game owners willing to test their snap-shooting skills. More importantly, the contest will involve none other than the American machines recently released as a part of the US Car Race Pack.

The Gran Turismo series has been honoured with a spot in the ‘GAME ON’ exhibit within the Japan National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. In this event, which showcases the history of video games, a fully functioning GT cabinet running Gran Turismo 6 can be played with a Thrustmaster T300RS steering wheel (pedals from the T500RS are used, however).

Critically-acclaimed racing simulator Project CARS is going to receive another spot in the limelight with a special release recently announced by the title’s creator, Slightly Mad Studios.

With the recent reveal of the ultra exclusive Centenario and the accompanying announcement that it will be featured in the next Forza game, Lamborghini has been a hot commodity this week. As a part of the ongoing partnership between Forza Motorsport and Lamborghini, a brand new program featured exclusively in Forza Motorsport 6 has been revealed: the Lamborghini Super Trofeo race series.

Indeed, who could have seen that coming? The new adapter from Thrustmaster features compatibility with non-Thrustmaster pedals as long as they feature a DB9 connector. That naturally includes Logitech and its G-series pedals.

What we’re looking at above is what could be the first official acknowledgement of Forza Horizon 3. Much as they did with Motorsport 6, Turn 10 has announced a cover car at a major automotive event, this time at the Palexpo during the Geneva Auto Show. Now we know why some of the studio’s higher-ups are on the ground in Switzerland…

This year would have marked the 100th anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of the eccentric Italian marque. To celebrate the occasion, the storied automaker is producing an extremely limited production run of the Centenario pictured above. Unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the Centenario’s design is built around a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and Lamborghini’s most powerful V12 powerplant to date, producing 770 horses, and can propel itself to 60 in a paltry 2.8 seconds.

Hot on the heels of last week’s new tour packs, Evolution Studios have finally pushed out their smartphone application to the masses with the official Driveclub app hitting iOS and Android storefronts yesterday afternoon. Initially promised for launch in October 2014, the app’s core functionality allows players to track in-game challenges they are currently competing in and accept recommended challenges from around the Driveclub community.

We asked, and you answered. Last week, Track of the Week was opened to community suggestions, and the response was better than we could’ve even hoped. There are sixteen ribbons of tarmac waiting for players to enjoy, all plucked from the GTPlanet Track Database. You can drive any or all of them, but only one will get the TOTW title this weekend.

The US Race Car Pack is now available for Project CARS in a continual effort by Slightly Mad Studios to keep the WMD-powered game feeling new with monthly content.

Hot on the heels of the news of PC-based Apex spin-off, Turn 10 unleashed the long-awaited Porsche Expansion Pack for Forza 6 today. The pack spans six decades of the storied marque’s history, from the 1955 550A Spyder to the Le Mans-winning 2015 919 Hybrid. It also ups the track count, introducing Virginia International Raceway to the lineup with seven different layouts, as well as both night and rain variations.
