One of the oddest licensing sagas in racing games looks like it could be at an end, as Playground Games has — somewhat overtly — teased the return of four Italian marques to Forza Horizon 5, opening the door to their return across the entire genre of racing games as it suggests Stellantis has moved back towards video game licensing in general.

The Alfa Romeo team has become the third to reveal its car for the upcoming 2021 Formula One season, which it calls the C41.

Although this week’s Geneva International Motor Show has gone the way of the F1 Chinese Grand Prix, that hasn’t stopped car manufacturers from staging virtual reveals of their wares. Alfa Romeo is first up to the plate, with a new, even higher performance version of the Giulia.

It’s one of the great pre-war classic cars and, thanks to recognition in California, it may be immortalized in a future version of Gran Turismo. This year’s Gran Turismo Trophy winner at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is the 1931 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Corto Spider Zagato.

Alfa Romeo is going through something of a purple patch of late. Its Giulia sedan gets rave reviews (including from us), while its first attempt at an SUV — the Stelvio — has been a massive hit.

During the late ’80s and well into the ’90s, the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) was one of the premier touring car series. Alfa Romeo Sauber has confirmed Tatiana Calderon as test driver for the 2018 F1 season.

Sauber F1 is the next up to bat to reveal its contender for the 2018 season, the C37. This isn’t exactly a normal reveal however, with it marks the return of Alfa Romeo to the sport after a 30-year hiatus.

Last week saw the release of Bonus Pack 3 for Assetto Corsa. With it comes seven all-new vehicles and Laguna Seca. PC players are the first in line to sample the new content.

Kunos continues to tease the contents of Bonus Pack 3 due to release this week. Releasing five days before Christmas, the free content pack looks to end Kunos’ year on a high note.

As we draw closer to year’s end, Kunos has one final trick up its sleeve for Assetto Corsa: “Bonus Pack 3” touches down on December 20. The free content pack — consider it an early Christmas gift — will include a new track, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Hot on the heels of Alfa Romeo returning to F1 with Sauber in 2018, the team has revealed its new livery concept. As expected, the livery features significant branding from Alfa Romeo, the Swiss team’s new title sponsor.

The changes coming in the 2018 F1 season continue to flow, although this one will be more welcomed than others. The Alfa Romeo name returns to the sport with Sauber as the two have agreed to a technical partnership.
