If they can bring back the renault espace f1, then they can bring any car. I'm looking you tvr cerbera speed 12.
The Espace F1 still exists though - both of them - for PD to scan. And indeed PD did go and scan it.

While the one Cerbera Speed 12 still exists it isn't in the form seen in GT4-6, as the body is now pretty much the race car. It's also in private hands, having previously been in the Lakeland Museum courtesy of the previous owner and sold at auction (for £600k...) in 2023. Another chassis/shell exists, but now has an Aston Martin V12. And, to complicate things yet further, TVR itself (who would still own any image rights) recently changed hands again so licensing it would be tricky.

There's also Helical's TR Speed, which is essentially a replica (and also using an Aston Martin V12) and has a pretty nasty, Marcos-like rear panel and lights.

And then then there's the original Project 7/12, the discarded shell of which is being rebuilt by enthusiasts with chatter of a originalish engine. It was presented at the NEC earlier in the month, in exactly the same way it was in 1996 (I was there the first time!) with engine separate from car.

Not sure I’d class the Espace as a race car. For me a race car is something that conforms to a rule set and has some other similar cars to compete against
Fair point, but would not either rank it as an road car either, its built on f1 chassi, their is plenty of race cars already thats kind in its own catogory, its at least closer to race car than a road car.

To my knowledge, the Espace F1 uses an entirely custom carbon-fibre tub. The wheelbase alone is considerably shorter than its contemporary F1 cars.
That's my understanding, it's an F1 engine on a custom chassis with an Espace-like body on the top. It's also a 4 seater, something I don't think an actual F1 chassis couldn't accommodate.

I think the Spec III update is going to be one to remember. I'm especially excited about the Benetton-looking F1 car, as you can never have too many F1 cars. However, I have a pretty big question. You see, certain features, like Ultimate upgrades and engine swaps have been locked for players with a collector level of 50, which was obviously the previous cap. So, that begs the question, would said upgrades still be locked until CL 50, or would the bar for entry be raised to level 70? I hope we get an answer to this before the update, as I'm currently at level 30-something, and I would love these upgrades.

It is incredibly unlikely that things will be re-locked for people who have already achieved them (this doesn't, for example, happen with achieved-gold times that fall outside of the gold bracket after a physics update and leaderboard reset), and in turn that suggests it will not be changed at all.

CL50+ will almost certainly just unlock new items - probably the unlimited Invitations.

Why?
Are they afraid of their product?
The Power Pack requires update 1.64. In order that any review code functions ahead of time, the reviewers' games would need to be updated to 1.64 - which would require a beta fork and render their games unusable online until the public version is available.

Not impossible, but unlikely and not their usual MO.

If there is a review build, I'd expect it to be local and by invitation to a relevant venue, not digitally distributed. I've not heard anything about that either.

Thanks for explanation.

I AM SUCH A IDIOT!

I was about to ask you for Project Motor Racing!
Do you know that?

I hope the Espace F1 coming back opens the door to more older iconic concept cars seen in the early games of the franchise. I imagine there'd be a similar reaction if we saw the Dodge Copperhead (Concept Car) or the GTS-R concept return in 4K quality.
They recently showcased the Copperhead at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, so thankfully the car still exists in some capacity :) They also had a Cizeta V16T and Vector M12, but I'd imagine licensing for those cars would be a pain :ouch:

Can't imagine them retroactively raising the level requirement. That would be a bit cruel if you were level 49 right before the update dropped

I'd be fine with the helical tr speed 12

Given both companies are defunct (Ironically both in 2021 with both owners also passing in the same year), it would be a miracle if ANYONE could..assuming they even can find the cars.

Someone still owns the rights to the designs.

While true, that's also assuming said folks are even willing to play ball (Which isn't always a guarantee). Would certainly hope they are reasonable folks.

This logistical problem didn’t stop Playground Games/ Turn 10 from adding it back into Forza in the original form that it existed in.

Interesting comments from Supergt in his video regarding the invitation tickets in the spec 3 update. When it was announced i interpretated the invitations thing as being able to buy unlimited invitations in brand central.,thus being able to buy unlimited invitation cars.
He may be right on his take on it,he probably knows more than us,time will tell.
