They added pops and bangs for the Elantra N with stock exhaust.

Its a small detail but so important for people who are obsessed with car sounds/sound engineering like me.

There still is hope they add them also for the AMG A45 if we are loud enough 😬.
(…i am just waiting for the right time to bump the exhaust sound/inaccurate car sounds threads)

Most of you won’t like hearing this, but I just came home from work and played this game for the first time in months (because of the update obviously) after playing nothing but R3E and AC, and wow, it sucks.

The Real Driving Simulator… yeah right. I feel sorry for anyone who defends this joke of a ”simulator.”
I might have been more apologetic if the game was good in other areas, but it’s not. Well, it looks alright I guess, there you go.
Bait used to be believable

I don't mean that they should create tracks in 6-8 months, rather that it would be good if possible to maintain a buffer of created tracks so that they can release one every 6-8 months.
Not sure why they are releasing 2 new tracks for Spec III, we would have been already ecstatic to get only Yas Marina, on top of Spec III content + DLC, and get CGV in june 2026. All the more taking into account that Sophy cannot use those tracks yet.

Ok.

Yes, we have no bananas, we have no bananas today.

Sorry, what was the question again?

So if Montreal was (presumably) scanned in 2019, where does that place Yas Marina? I noticed it still has Alfa Romeo signage so that would at least place it 2023 or older, right?

I notice in my garage the pp on one of my Gr2 GT500s that I'd carefully set to just below 900pp has crept to just above 900pp.
Do we have any confirmation yet on whether physics/tyre model changes have 'adjusted' the pp's of our cars (again)?

Where are you seeing it? Trying to look and haven't been seen it myself.

For anyone wondering I can confirm that when you receive the permanent invitation you still get the olds one in the tickets.
Did you see it show up on the wheel, or did you actually win it?

Unwinnable prizes can sometimes show up on the wheel, but it won't ever land on them.

Right before the main straight. Though I will say I might be jumping the gun because I assume this sponsorship was tied to when they were sponsors of Sauber.
From the F1 onboards I've seen 2022-2024, not once have I seen that sign. Haven't seen it either in all the runnings of the Gulf 12 Hours so it seems to just be placed there by PD.

First thoughts on Spec III - I feel like the physics are better but it will take a bit of getting used to. CGV is great.

Yas Marina is very pretty but the first thing I did when I booted up the game was run that WTC 800 event and the FPS is utterly horrible, it genuinely makes the race almost unplayable to me. I'm on PS4 so I guess it's better on PS5, but jeez. In the daytime it doesn't seem so bad but it's still noticeably jumpy.

From a post I wrote in September:
The runoff seems to be from 2024:

Sorry about the F1 UI, it was the easiest way to find pictures. :boggled:

The Yas Marina we got seems to be from 2024, at the earliest, if we look at the runoff in turn 9. That Alfa Romeo banner you pointed out was present in 2024 too:

I'm guessing it was not on the F1 weekend because I'm not seeing it here.

Edit: And indeed, it was not there on F1 weekend. Mystery solved, though wow that is a quick turnaround.

Been reading this tread and the DLC one for a couple of weeks now and great to finally read about the confirmed changes and not what could or should be in it.

It would be a day one purchase for me but I am working overseas until mid January so I need some more patience.....

Only annoying thing for me personally is that I like to collect all cars. Only needed the Ferrari GTO which is available this week which I missed again and now the Espace F1 is also in the legendary garage. This could take a while before they are available again.

To everyone, enjoy all the new features, I just drool over all the news, pictures, videos and undocumented changes.

Edit: Wtf, Nordschleife backwards, that will take a while to learn after thousands of laps on PS and a few dozen IRL. Backwards they should add the Steilstrecke as well, 😂.

I saw that you can add the Evo package to the 296 GT3, that's pretty neat
Perhaps even neater is how they've arranged all the parts between Body, Body 2 and Other for easier livery making. For example, on cars with two canards per side it's usually a pain to get one painted and not the other as the depth settings are too coarse and something will either bleed over or not show up as wished. This one is a detail maker's dream in that regard.

From the 2024 onboards I've seen (trackdays and smaller racing series), that Alfa Romeo banner is always there. I've seen some January 2025 onboards with it too. So it must be a F1 thing.
Yep, edited my post and acknowledged it.

Also found an Gulf 12 Hour onboard from, you guessed it, 2024

Not alot of good onboards from this race in general.

Just spent some time with the new update...
I wanted to take it easy, just look at the new cars, buy some of them, do some test laps on the two new tracks with slow cars(and save the circuit exp for tomorrow...)
Ok...just one slow race with the Panda, the new one at Goodwood looks good, let's tune it a little up to 360 and see what goes...
Hm, can't race without doing a little livery, just a simple one...
60mim later...OK, just that one race to get it over with...totally love driving this car, but was too slow...just one race turned into five, tuning up to 399 gave me a podium...I am ok with that, had my fun, let's quit for today...

And then I saw that little green icon at Nürburgring...hm, what's new there again ?
Took me sometime to realize what's the difference between Endurance I and Endurfance II while looking at it...

...and to end this little story before it gets too boring:

BEST NEW TRACK: Nordschleife reverse!!!
...and I highly recommend everybody, to do the virgin round in a "slow" car. I did it with said 399PP Panda(CS,mostly racing parts low range turbo) in cockpit view and I was constantly smiling for the next 30 minutes(well it turned out to be more than just one lap)...that was some of the most immersive GT driving I had for a long time, just wanted to share that!

Is the 296 road car meant to feel so bad? I can’t really describe what I don’t like about it, but driving it straight after the 430 Scuderia and only one of them is leaving me with a smile on my face. Not tried the Gr.3version yet but I’m really disappointed by the 296 road version. Then again, I find all the hybrid Fezzas to be no fun.

Damn, that Saudi money helped PD get Yas Marina in quick! Only other explanation would be that they modeled it earlier and just updated the branding, but if that were the case it wouldn't say Alfa Romeo releasing today.

And as an aside, kinda lame that Montreal has like 0 ads apart from its track signage (CGV).

I am convinced this user just likes to collect poop.

What an awesome, AWESOME, update.
Man, sometimes PD makes bizarre decisions, but this time they NAILED it. Fantastic job, big smile tonight just buying all the new cars !!

Isn't it a beauty ?!
