This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Driving All the New Cars in Gran Turismo 7 Spec III

After a lengthy two-month wait and a substantial 15GB preload on PS5, the Gran Turismo 7 Spec III has finally arrived. While a lot of attention is on the big changes — including the debut of Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and Yas Marina, the Power Pack DLC and Sophy 3.0, and a new “Unlimited” Invitation system — the rather diverse roster of eight new cars is pretty interesting, too...

I'm absolutely loving the Yas Marina circuit - having not played an F1 game for many years, I've never had much chance to get to like it, but it suits GT3 perfectly. I've never cared for it much IRL but I'm loving it in GT7 so far, and the dusk lighting is just amazing.

CGV is also a blast, albeit it is much tighter than I remember it - that said, I've not had a game where I've played on this track routinely since Formula One '97...

Little did I know that I'd be a man of leisure by the time the 296 GT3 came to the game, so I'm going to make the most of it - albeit my meds are making motion sickness a bit of an issue, but so far it has been fine apart from earlier in the week when I could only manage a few laps before breaking into a cold sweat!

So apparently the Formula 3500B real counterparts are the,
Benetton B196
Tyrrell 020
Got the Benetton at first glance by i wasn't able to guess the other two. Are we sure about this ?

If yes ( for engine swaps )

Tyrrell 0020:

The car was powered by the 690 bhp (515 kW; 700 PS) Honda RA101E V10 engine previously raced by McLaren in 1990 and maintained by Mugen Motorsports, which would run Mugen-Honda badged engines the following year for Footwork Arrows.

Jordan 191:

Originally designed for the Judd V8,[2] the 191 ended up being powered by a Cosworth-Ford HB V8 engine, Jordan having arranged a customer supply[3] after fortuitously making contact with a senior executive at Cosworth

There is a front end swap for the 3500B which is 100% Jordan 191.

Yas Marina may be prettier but CGV is so much more fun to drive. A proper race track.
Is it just me, but I found Yas Marina the worst track in the game to drive, horrible slow boring corners, no flow at all. The ESpace just highlighted the worst of this with it's poor cornering. CGV was much more fun that I expected, I thought of it as slow chicanes and hairpins, but somehow it works much better. Racing between the walls, rather than the frustraing track limits at YM, is so much better.

Does anyone know if the Mine's Skyline is officially seen to be a modified Nissan or is seen to be a Mine's? Would it still be serviced by an official Nissan dealership or would they not want to know?

I do wish they'd create something similar for non-VR owners. Walk around the vehicle using the controller like...any game where you walk around/look using the controller.
you can do it in photo mode, but it is less convenient because you need to start a race and while in replay enter photo mode

You buy it from the Mines dealership. I imagine the major tuning houses look after their own cars, unless it's a Nismo I doubt Nissan would be interested.

First thing I did was ditch those nasty black wheels for as close as I could get to the RE mg BBSs god intended it to have...

I don't quite understand why I'm still being offered invitations with the Roulette Tickets at level 70.

I mean, before they were just a nuisance, but now they're obsolete.

Pulling the invitations now is a wasted ticket.
Not everybody is at level 70, in fact my third account is at 68....(which is quickly being fixed)

Geographically, to put Yas Marina in the Europe area, now splitted as Europe - Middle East, is a thorn in my eye. Europe is a long way from the Middle East. How can one not respect the geographic location? This is just lazy.
Not lazy. EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) is a globally recognised designation, and already used in GT7 for regional competitions.

Once I won 1 mil with a 3 star ticket, I or was it 100K 🤔? Anyway, there's a real slim chance you get a decent prize.
You have 1% chance to win 500k with a 3*, but it is the maximum for this level of ticket, and 75% chance to get 5k or 10k

Exactly, in the business world, you often see EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), APAC (Asia-Pacific), and AMER (Americas) used to manage teams or global markets. Not a PD arbitrary decision (for once) and I understand they don't want to split their zones too much, for UI reason among others.

Is the 296 road car meant to feel so bad? I can’t really describe what I don’t like about it, but driving it straight after the 430 Scuderia and only one of them is leaving me with a smile on my face. Not tried the Gr.3version yet but I’m really disappointed by the 296 road version. Then again, I find all the hybrid Fezzas to be no fun.
It is absolutely horrible, especially on the SH tires it comes with. Wheelspin in seemingly every gear and absurd oversteer.

About the new tyres. I have the impression the margin between grip and no grip has become rather small as I used to drive without TC before (with most cars) and now I find myself turning it back on. Or is it the difference between PS4 and PS5 controller?

There was no mention in the update notice about any physics changes (just that there's Dunlop branded tires). But some people claim that there's a difference to how the cars handle post 1.65 (saw some people say it's easier to drive).

Personally think it's all placebo though.

Montreal feels so much more narrower in this game versus the F1 games and I'd like to think that's due to the magic of VR :sly:

I'm wondering about this too. GT7 is my main game but when I need a VR break I play F1 25, CGV is up next in my career mode I'm curious to compare it feels much more narrow in GT7. I tried the Super Formula race there last night and it felt super difficult to hit the chicanes without taking a ton of curb.

The Feedback got better that’s what people are feeling they are talking about in physics thread. I feel like the feedback has gotten better on my wheel T-GT-II
