I'm sorry, but is anyone else not blown away by how incredible SPEC 3 is!? This feels like GT8 to me.

Not only have the visuals and audio been updated in Spec 3 but the physics and engagement from racing and driving these cars have finally been nailed.

Im playing on the PS5 pro with a B&O dolby atmos setup on a 75 inch mini led and holy ****, I have never felt so immersed in a sim game.

There's so much communication now with the physics engine, I can finally push and play with these cars on the edge.

Yas Marina with dynamic time scale with a full grid driving the 296 gt3 is simply phenomenal. No racing sim on the market touches SPEC 3 now. Not even close. Not even Aseto Evo.

Well Done PD🙏

The lighting in this circuit is incredible.

I finally had the time to make two liveries for the 296 GT3: Max Verstappen‘s NLS car and the Franz Hermann meme version.

I haven‘t had much time to play the update yet but so far I like it a lot and I‘m looking forward to trying out the new tracks as well!

There will be a lot more designs coming for the Ferrari since it is my favorite GT3 car at the moment!

Hearing that the GT3 is more stable is nice. The 458 was so loose in GTS/7 originally then after x amount of updates it was improved somewhat.

Your replicas are always on point! Legit looks and feels like the official livery.

Long ago I’ve seen someone here saying that anyone who makes replica liveries are not creative or something like that. Well, you’re here to prove the exact opposite.

I’m sorry, but is most if not all of this placebo?

The visuals and the audio have been updated?

This feels like GT8?

What?

Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it!

Well, negative statements like that don't bother me. You will always have people whose first reaction is to criticize what others are doing, wether it's related to success at your job, gym progress or insignificant (by comparison) things like liveries on virtual cars. And these people are rarely the ones who are satisfied and out there chasing goals from my experience.

Btw I'll probably release AF Corse's 2024 Spa 24h cars later today. I just need to finish a few minor things.

I dont really see what is enhanced about the weekly races,or have i missed something somewhere.
The spec 3 update for me feels pretty good, loving the cars, not sure about the boat graphic for the power pack dlc though.Looks a little like somethong a child would draw .Just my opinion. 👍

Can someone explain the visual difference between the stock wing and the Type B wing?

Edit : Ah, I just noticed that the antenna was removed.

Thanks for your contribution to the thread Kaz.

Haven't seen anyone talk about it yet (probably because it's the part of Spec III which most people couldn't care less about), but I finally got to try the new update and one of the first things I checked was new Scapes feature - additional lighting. While it can definitely help to achieve some really nice results without editing...

... it turned out to be just additional pre-baked light source for like 15-20 Scapes. I was really hoping for something we can manually control, maybe put multiple sources, I thought I won't have to add extra cars behind the scene with high beams pointed at the main car anymore, but nope, still have to.

Anyway, my overall impression of Spec III is overwhelmingly positive, can't say I have anything else to complain about.

Good point, just like you I thought PD had reworked the entire lighting feature, judging from the way it was worded in the patch notes.

So it‘s just a gimmick after all. Btw I‘m stealing your idea with the high beams, that‘s a genius solution, no joke!

You can also make multiple shots and then combine them into one using blend modes (and some eraser) in Photoshop, here I took like 10 shots with different lighting and then combined it. So would be really nice and much easier if it was just a legit feature in the game
By using masks in game and making car black and background white you can also create a perfect mask for the car to use in Photoshop, which is way better than manually tracing the car or using AI.

I would have given this the "cool snowman" emoji but I can't have Mariah upsetting my chill vibe again.

Real clever and old school stuff this. Thx for sharing 👍

Has anyone faced a situation where the game hung & had to be manually restarted?

I've had two instances. Once it thung after playing the 5th race in weekly challenge (Abu Dhabi race). After finishing & when we press X for the entire leaderboard to go to next screen, it hung there before the credits won screen could come. Second time it happened after I finished Race B with 256 car. After I pressed X when showing the race classification, it hung.

This happened yesterday but today had no issues. The lobbies do seem to be a little laggy still.

I am expecting a few glitches or hiccups which usually comes when so many new changes are implemented.

Well now you can do your own version of those high quality Ferrari Renders.

Still feels like GT7 to me...? But maybe this because I still play on old PS4.

I feel you dude
I recently bought new headphones (Corsair HS65 with surround) and when I did the special race CGV with the F3500B it was awesome. Hearing the other car going on the back straight when I was slowing down for the hairpin and the echo at that place is just perfect. It feels has if I was there IRL. It is just very well made and I got to say it to
Well done 👍🏻

I also just wanted to show you guys my design for the 296 GT3 (EVO)
I did a design for the Porsche and the Huracan also and wanted to do one in a similar style for the new car

So I took the "Benetton F1" to Yas Marina...and destroyed the competition (🌶️🌶️🌶️)
Not only that, but the amazing lighting and surround sound of the track really blew me away. The V10 is just everywhere eating up all other's engine noises.

What. A. Treat. 👌Enjoying the replay rn.

It really is a high downforce GP track. As I stated before, you need to take the right car to the track to fully enjoy it.

I know it's long, but I uploaded this just so anyone wants to check AI behavior in Power Pack, specifically in European Oldtimers around Sardegna. Lots of X's, lots of fun. However I can't compete without picking the Alfa (zero chili), and even with it I have a tough battle. Anyway I'm a very regular driver, so...

Really a lot of fun, at least for me. Got me sweating by the end.
