After seeing comments online about the circuit experience at Yas Marina being easy I thought I'd give it a crack. It took me dozens of attempts throughout this afternoon but I finally got it done. Got the sectors done and then attempted the lap which took most of my time as I kept bottling it on the last sector. I was stuck in the high 56s and low 57s for ages and then in my last try everything came together with a 1.56.068. My first gold circuit experience ever. Bronze is usually easy for me with the occasional silver so I'm quite thrilled actually.

Time to buy the F3500B with my million credits and stick the Renault V10 in it :)

I was inspired by Max Verstappen's quali run last night.

Great job, but it goes to show how Impressive that Max did it in a formula one for the same time....

You should have done it in a super Formula to be about the same, no ?

Impossible, unless that SF has that X2014's engine... 👀

Haven’t found the fun in CGV yet.

It’s odd because I came into this expecting to love CGV and to not like Yas Marina, but it’s exactly the other way around.

Played both tracks before, but forgot how narrow CGV was.

Have not tired it with a Formula car yet. Maybe that is the key.

Has anyone faced a situation where the game hung & had to be manually restarted?

I've had two instances. Once it thung after playing the 5th race in weekly challenge (Abu Dhabi race). After finishing & when we press X for the entire leaderboard to go to next screen, it hung there before the credits won screen could come.

I had this same one happen to me on PS4, when rebooted it showed as completed and credits added on.

What in the holy cheating happened in S1 of the CGV circuit experience?

Imagine the shock of my life when I realized that I tolerated the last sector of Yas Marina more than the chicanes of CGV. I have tried the SF race in CGV, but I might as well pull out the 2019 car. The chase the rabbit format of starts was the least fun I had there.

Anyone struggling with the Yas Marina WTC 800?
I can only manage 4th on RH, the front three don't pit as well.
I would have needed another 10 laps to get them
I did it with the 296 and I thought we would have to pit so I started on RM. managed to get to p1 by lap 7 and when I saw that the other cars would not pit I just kept going till the end…
My tires were dead BTW

At least you can check with the data logger to find out

Just wanted to write how weird the difficulty settings are still in this game. Can't win in a 400pp car in the new European 400 race at Goodwood and on the other hand the WTC800 at Yas Marina is much too easy.

I used the new Ferrari with a medium Turbo at Medium tyres with one stop and won with a big gap on hard difficulty without even knowing the track well (just some laps in the online TT).

So, yeah, i had a completely opposite experience to yours...

Yeah same for me. Expected it other way around but Yaz is surprisingly fun and GCV is not that iconic.

Not sure about that, seems that in missions and CEs you only can compare one of your replays to the demo one.

And even if it was possible to load a replay from someone else, you'd need to find one first. Is there any replay of S1 of CGV available ?

Have the physics changed of GR3 cars? They seem to have made it really hard to catch a slide and the car just becomes wildly incontrôlable. It's like there is no progression in the decrease of grip. It's there or it isn't 🤷 Has been a couple of months I played GT7 but I don't remember GR3 being this 'twitchy' 🤔 I needed to be a lot more careful on the trottle when exiting slow corners...could be a placebo...

Never raced Yas Marina before and never tried the 296 GT3 also; my first attempt going blind was 11th, second attempt was 5th then third attempt was 1st with a 10 second lead, no stop on RH. So it’s very doable, just keep trying! Also, I had to stiffen the car and go full max aero and go full minimum height and that for me made it better. Check my post on the Weekly challenge thread of you like ☺️

I used a swapped F40(my favorite racing-tuned road car for the WTC800 races)...with FM10/RM it can make 10 laps...did fastest laps, but I was not quick enough to catch the first 2 cars(the new GT3 Ferrari and the Mazda Gr.3 VGT), they were 20 seconds ahead and I finished 3rd...

Thanks everyone
Went with the BRZ, which is my favorite car to drive. RM, performed some changes to gain to some rear for the car, TCS1 and tried to give it everything until I got to 1st in the 7 lap. From there, I tried to manage. My tires were cooked, especially right-side. Won with 4 seconds to spare for the GT3 '23.

I took gold on Yas and GVC from first try also new Eiger circuit experience from second attempt. I dont know but they look esier than other circuit experience in game.

Today took part in 2 races in lobby namely Canada & Abu Dhabi in a 296 machine. They were in Prac/Qualy/Race format with a pit stop mandatory. Enjoyed both the tracks so much. Abu Dhabi is like a breath of fresh air mainly because of standard option for night races.

Hoping one of them if not both feature in daily races tomorrow.

No. If you're used to doing Daily races in the Gr3 cars there's always BoP applied. In the CE there isn't. The cars are a lot faster with more power.

Tried it tonight, in normal, with the Audi RS5 tuned to 799PP on RH.

Was surprised that fuel multiplier is not high, I had plenty fuel to run all race on FM1.

Was the first time running this track, zero previous experience there. Beautiful track, cool day-night cycle too.

Was first by lap 7 and got an easy victory. Now that I know the track a bit more and lap times got lowered down a good bunch, I'd probably end up first at least a lap earlier.

2 things:

- Don't use Hards. Race is too short to really make use of them (and likewise too long for softs without a stop) so mediums are your best option.

- Would two of those cars happen to be the Lexus And Ferrari? If so, attempt it when they don't start in the top 5 (The lower, the better). Because of how much slower the other cars are, they'll be slwwd down and you can actually catch them while making it to the end.

I managed first place without pit for fuel or tyres with a built Lexus SC430 GT500.

Picture not from the race.
