I tried the new WTC 800 at Yas Marina with the 296 and something blew me away.
I faked a divebomb on the inside of a Supra and the AI rushed to close the door very aggresively. He got too much speed for the next corner, lost the rear and spun.
It all seemed to me very human and I dont remember to see something like this before.

They seem to lose control in that specific corner when under pressure. I raced a custom competition at YM and both the 296 and Huracan spinned off when I approached them. The 296 twice

Yes, the AI do this from time to time. It'll think it's trying outbrake you, but spears off into a barrier.

I’m sorry, but is most if not all of this placebo?

The visuals and the audio have been updated?

This feels like GT8?

What?
Definitely not placebo. The changes aren't even subtle. Ifs night and day difference! Videos incoming shortly 👌

I feel they really improved the pssr on ps5 pro. The quality rt mode on is so much sharper then before. Huge improvements. I also feel they increased the motion blur. Everything feels much faster. It is just me?
It looks way better. Lighting model took a big upgrade as well.

But the sounds! You guys need to take a 500hp Renault 5 turbo for a spin ASAP 🤯

The upgrade from PS4 to PS5, the SPEC III update and the purchase of the Power Pack were the best investment to my all-time favourite game since 1997. I really feel like it has a second life now, it's a very diverse menu now and graphically the most amazing version ever. I was very pessimistic about it before but I was terribly wrong.

Night and day you say? Bold. Can’t wait for those videos.

Anyone struggling with the Yas Marina WTC 800?
I can only manage 4th on RH, the front three don't pit as well.
I would have needed another 10 laps to get them
RM withthe 296 will do it but you have to overtake very aggressively. Do not wait behind cars for the right moment, just pass them. Or, you can change difficulty setting to easy just for that one race and put it back to your liking after the race.

I used the Mercedes CLK LM and won easily (but that was on lowest difficulty because I just wanted to get it done)

My main takeaway from that was it was a no stop car on FM1 and tires held quite easily too.

I really like this update. I am particularly pleased with the new tracks.

However, I am disappointed that BoP/Tuning Forbidden & Tuning are still not independent options in the lobby. I would like to race Group Cars as they were designed. In the league I run, we always choose one car to race with. And BoP spoils the characteristics of Group Cars. Reverse Grid Order is still missing, and the option was available in previous editions of Gran Turismo.

Had my first experience of Spec III today, and I had a good time. Wasn't able to download it last week as me and the wife were in Mexico, but we landed at 9am this morning. My wife wasn't feeling great after the flight, so went to bed, I'm staying up until this evening, and managed to get a good hour or so in.

I did the weekly races, and used the FTO which I tuned and downloaded a Taivon Trampio-like kit and livery for it to tackle the first event, which wasn't too difficult, but I could have left the FTO stock or closer to stock than I did.

I did the other races in other cars I already owned, except the WTC800 at Yas Marina. I used the Espace F1 for that, tweaked some suspension settings. I had read that it handled like a dog, so tried to loosen up the rear without making it spin out too easy. I tried this twice, the first time I fit Racing Softs on, forgetting how fast they wear in those races, they lasted less than 3 laps. So I restarted with Racing Hards, and it was a breeze. The Espace still didn't handle nearly as well as I'd have liked, but I took first place on lap 5 and managed a no pit race.

My pace did drop off as you'd expect near the end, my penultimate lap which was incident free (at least enough for my standard) was approx. 1.4 seconds off my fastest lap. The final lap I really let off as I had 40 second lead and didn't push as hard, but the tyres were ready for a change then, but there was no point.

I enjoyed the circuit, the detail and scenery are brilliant, even on PS4. Driving the Espace F1 was nostalgic and I really enjoyed it. It was phenomenal on the straights, just reeling in the other cars like they were a class or two beneath it. I enjoyed the FTO as well, but I only did a shorter race in that, I bought two, one I'll keep stock and I'll keep tuning the other one. I haven't had chance to do a ace at CGV yet, I'm not back in work until Wednesday, so I might get a chance tomorrow.

The only event I didn't win was the Mission Challenge, I managed 2nd after 4 attempts, I was definitely losing time in the first and last sectors. I'm not a big fan of those super fast concept cars and VGT's though, but I'd have lived first, I just wanted to move on after 4 attempts and 4 times watching the starting sequence.

The new cars on the new up-date (Toyota Trueno and 911 Off Road, the ones that I won), they are not in the personal garage... strange, no?

They should be. Sort your garage by date acquired, and they should be at the top.

The Yas Marina circuit experience was way too simple. On GC the sectors were almost all first time gold, but somehow the complete lap took me a bit more. I'm just a simple B rated driver.

You buy it from the Mines dealership. I imagine the major tuning houses look after their own cars, unless it's a Nismo I doubt Nissan would be interested.

First thing I did was ditch those nasty black wheels for as close as I could get to the RE mg BBSs god intended it to have...

I was/am bummed about the wheels, too. But after reading the card on the car, the 037’s make sense.

In case it wasn’t mentioned, the card also explains the exorbitant cost of the car: a $3 million offer to buy the car. It was probably the same techbro that is turning my home track into an AI data center.

Regarding the Mine's wheels, I guess RAYS being OEM wheel of choice by Nissan make sense. BBS not being what it used to be maybe had something to do with the switch. It'd be cool to find out why the change in wheels.

Well we can pretty much say that this huge Spec-III update with the new tracks and new cars and other content is our early Christmas present from the staff at PD. This should tie us over until gt8 is released in the next 2-3 years.

Don't think gt7 will be going anywhere anytime soon. Oh, btw saw the trailer over the weekend, it was very epic and cool.

Yes, I believe this is new. I never saw the Regular AI do this before, but if you turn the boost on, it makes these lunge moves.

I like when they show the driver inputs in V8 Supercars. Mark Larkham goes in depth explaining to viewers the throttle and brake tracers. Good stuff.
