GT7 Update Coming August 25

I really don't think there's much of a chance that the MP4/4 isn't in the LCD. It will allow PD to set a high price without it seeming too high relative to other cars sold around it, and it will fit in perfectly with the other old race cars.

I was dreaming, as usual, but I feel I really want the MP4/4. Probably not THAT bad if it's over 10mil.
It'd be a great TT car to gauge its performance back to back with the SF19 and GTF1. Should be fun at all the tracks. Even trying to get it around Horse Thief Mile.

It's gonna be a letdown if the MP4/4 is in the LCD. It should be in Brand Central and similar in price to the F1500-T.

Its a car that was made before the year 2000 AND its a historically significant car (A Championship winner in its case, the very same qualification for the Mercedes CLK LM and the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI being there), how on earth should it NOT be in the Legendary Car Dealership?

Dude, it's really very simple. They're the latest car models available in the real world. There are plenty of people out there who want to drive the latest models that they see on Top Gear, on car websites, that they see on the streets, that they might even have just bought in real. Remember that, in old GT games, where you could conceivably drive a new car you just bought in real life? Now they only way that happens is if your car is slightly old, or really old.


I'm not going to continue this absurd conversation. I guess I can add "I'd like them to add some newer models" to the list of things I never thought would be a controversial comment, but welcome to GT Planet where they'll attack anything if they think you're criticising the game.

Your entire argument is " i want cars with 22' at the end even if they are inferior to older model years".

Quality > Quantity
 
While understandable why PD didn't have the Marlboro logos on the car, its strange they didn't at least model it the MP4/4's livery after this:

Its pretty much still in period as was the case with the Lotus 97T when it too ran in races where Tobacco advertising was banned.

Its not only the fact that this game is massively lacking in newer cars, the car list itself as a whole is massively lacking. Where are the new GT3 cars? NASCARs? V8 Supercars? British touring cars? DTM? Where is the RS6 Avant? Where are ANY Australian cars? Where is the Chiron? The 488? The 65 Mustang? Challenger Hellcat? The Gallardo? Reventon? The Mazda RX-3? I could go on.

The vast majority of this car list is recycled from Sport, got a big old number 7 slapped on it and was sold as the return to form for the series. Pffft, you still can't even sell the garage fillers.

Nothing wrong with that , it just different games have different priorities - obviously ACC will have latest GT3/4 cars due of the licence

Gran Turismo was always mixed and from what i remember it wasn't always the priority to have new cars , plus making the cars is more complex than ever especially interior , back in the day it was just a external rectangle with texture

Yes, it is. Well done. People want the latest models, even if they are "inferior". The 2022 F1 cars are slower than the 2021 cars but guess what? People still want to drive them in the official game, because they're new.

Plus you're conveniently ignoring all the car models that are brand new, not just new year models of existing cars. Ferrari 296? One of the newest Ferraris, people always want to drive the latest new Ferrari model.

Also going by your logic, why are they adding the 1988 McLaren F1 car? It's far inferior to later McLaren F1 cars, the 2022 cars would run rings round it. The answer is because it's still a desirable car for people to drive despite that. The same applies to all cars, people don't only want to drive them because they're the best in their class, or the best ever version of that model. You can't just use the performance being "inferior" when it suits your argument.

I don't. I deleted it after the Glen update. 1 hour of new content a month ain't enough for me.

There are way better games out there that I enjoy. AC, ACC, AMS2, RaceRoom, Even Horizon 5 is more fun than this. None of those games leave me frustrated at their stupidity.

If it wasn't for us pointing out and shining a constant light on the glaring issues with this game, then the stupid rally would still be the best money maker right after it was nerfed. How can you defend a scummy company that so obviously tried to nickel and dime you?

I am glad to see this game copping all the flak because it damn well deserves it.

Trolling? I am expressing rightful disappointment on a forum after being lied to about what this game was, shelling out $125 because I was led to believe that THIS WAS THE GT! The return to form! Look at what was delivered. GT Sport 1.5. If you can't see that, then I don't know what to say.

Like the person above you, I have no idea how you can blindly defend a scum company that obviously tried to nickel and dime you. They tried, copped alot of warranted backlash and now they are very slowly back pedaling.

This game is of interest to me because my money was basically stolen from me. I will wait until it is what I was sold and continue to check in here and comment where I see fit.

Never forget what these scumbags tried. I know I won't.
 
I really don't think PD could come up with worse updates if they tried. Trying to sneak in a Mangusta "by Dior" as a new vehicle is hilarious. The GTO and the Cayman have been in so many previous games. The only car of any substance is the MP4/4 IMO. Even that doesn't have a proper rival to race against.
As for Catalunya with 3 layouts, again, why weren't they available from the get go? To then claim it's free, seemingly 'new' DLC is totally disingenuous.

Well… Should one begin to compare GT7 to reality I’d say the in game economy appears rather augmented.
Well. Compared to my economic reality, at least.
So no complaints.
Frustrations? Perhaps, but still lesser and fewer ones than counted smiles.

I will tell you a secret , in real life you can do a thing called "selling" to get your "stolen" money back , unless you bought it digitally then that's on you 🤔
 
Catalunya without chicane is better late than never but they should've also included the motoGP layout which includes the sweeper at the end of the back straight. Seriously they've had it at their fingertips for what, four years?

Including the Cayman is lazy, PD continues to underwhelm with their output.

You assume Sony isn't behind the whole thing. I blame them for pushing PD to release it before it was ready. They needed another AAA title for the PS5 and they wanted it NOW. And here we are. But some of us are still enjoying what we have and looking forward to the constant updates. And some of us have nothing better to do than scroll through the forum of a game we don't like. I don't like Forza. You don't see me in there acting the same way. I never go in there at all. You should try it.

I did buy it digitally. Day one. I bought something that was not what was advertised. Hell, it still isn't what is currently advertised. Selling cars anyone? The more people that don't stand up to this scum behaviour, the worse it is for the gaming industry as a whole. I for one, won't bend over and take it up the tailpipe from these developers after they have shown time and time again that they do not respect their loyal fanbases, yourself included.

How do you defend this behaviour? honestly?

This will also be my last GT, despite finding enjoyment with it.
