Polyphony Digital has announced some changes are coming to Gran Turismo 6 “Quick Match” events, with re-organized categories and performance adjustments.

Despite the powerful “Photo Mode” features in recent Gran Turismo games, none have provided a neutral backdrop in which to photograph your cars without distractions – until now!

With all of the exciting news and announcements generated from Vision Gran Turismo projects over the past few weeks, like Subaru’s VIZIV GT and GM Design’s Chaparral 2X, it might be easy to overlook one manufacturer who has apparently withdrawn from the program: Alfa Romeo.

Since the PlayStation 3 encryption keys were published by hackers back in 2011, both GT5 and GT6 have been targeted by users looking to modify the games beyond their intended parameters. Although “hacks” have always been a part of video gaming and even the GT series, it now takes on a new seriousness, as it threatens the integrity and fairness of online competitions.

Since the official debut of GM Design’s Chaparral 2X Vision GT concept car at the LA Auto Show yesterday, more in-game screenshots of the car in Gran Turismo 6 have been released, along with photos of the full-size 2X model unveiled at Chevrolet’s press event.

Another new batch of Time and Drift Trials are now available in the latest round of GT6 Seasonal Events. Keep in mind that additional new events, featuring the updated BMW M4, were also released last night with the launch of GT6 update 1.14.

The latest update for Gran Turismo 6 has just gone live, and it’s arguably the biggest yet, bringing with it one of the most anticipated new features for the game: “community” tools. It also brings new cars, an updated track, new events, and much more.

The “SUBARU VIZIV GT Vision Gran Turismo” gets a full reveal today, as Polyphony Digital confirms the car will be in the next Gran Turismo 6 game update, version 1.14.

As most readers will recall, a new Safety Car based upon a special edition of the BMW M4 was announced for Gran Turismo 6 a few weeks ago. Many of you were quick to notice, however, that the car shown in the screenshots did not contain a flashing LED light bar on the roof, as could be seen on the real car which BMW debuted at SEMA the following day.

Changes are coming to the Suzuka Circuit in the next Gran Turismo 6 update, according to the latest post on Polyphony’s PitStop website.
